Really great dinner here tonight. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The layout of the restaurant is unusual, we were lucky enough to score a sort of private upper level table that was so cozy and perfect for our date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was really good! The stuffed mushrooms were delicious. The potato skins were so good. Pecan salmon salad was fresh and the dressing was very good. Great meal, lovely server, interesting decor. Great time!

Nice selection of local beers and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant interior is very nicely done with a sunken bar area and two floors of tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was excellent and attentive and recommended several items on the menu. Our food came out quickly and wife's ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and her sides were good as well. My ribs came out fully sauced and I asked for the sauce on the side and when my ribs were replaced I found out why. No seasoning on the oven baked ribs. Menu says cooked low and slow and finished on the grill. The sauce is tangy and sweet but the ribs are overcooked so they can't be cut apart and they quickly became pulled pork. The onion rings and side salad were good and the ranch dressing appears to be made in house. I'd look elsewhere for ribs unless you like them messy and need a fork to eat them but the steak is done well!

Chicken was cooked perfectly. Very light on the Nashville hot sauce . I believe it needed something more green than the pickled. Maybe a blue cheese slaw would of make it an experience

We celebrated my birthday with a great meal and time at Darryl's! We started with the stuffed mushrooms, provolone cheese wedges, and a perfectly salted Patron margarita. We ordered for dinner: Ribs, Cajun shrimp, lasagna and Cajun prime rib matched with loaded potatoes, white cheddar Mac n cheese and steamed broccoli. Everything was delicious! We got 2 orders of the cappuccino chocolate cake that were divine! We all had to go boxes, so the deliciousness will continue. Carley provided excellent service! Also, I love the reservation process through Yelp. They really let you drill down on what you'll need. They ask for the usual info but then ask if there will be a need for kid's menus, booster seats, upstairs or downstairs preferences, what's the occasion and if it will be one check or split? I really liked that you could provide this information!

    Best fried mushrooms I've had!

I'll go ahead and start with the con, their French onion soup was abysmal. When I got it, their was no soup whatsoever and little cheese. On the bright side, their drinks are good, their prices aren't bad, and they have amazing ribs. My favorite! Their stuffed mushrooms was beyond the best I've ever had. I will go there just for that. Plenty of mushrooms and a great price. Their bacon cheese potato wedges are great as well. Filling!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant has a really great vibe to it. It has a lot of unique decorations that create a really fun and engaging atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However the food was nothing special. Everything we got had no real flavor to it. Which is unfortunate because the staff there were so nice and the inside is really cool. I just wish the food was just as interesting.

Darryl's Wood Fired Grill was AMAZING! We ordered so much food and ended up taking most of it home because the portions were HUGE. The potato skins are something I'll be dreaming about--they definitely did not skimp on the servings of anything! We came in starving and left completely full. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance and space were electric, and the décor was everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I honestly felt like I had stepped into another world once inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was fast and very informative, especially since we're not native to North Carolina. Our server gave great recommendations, and we ended up taking every single one of them. 10000000/10 recommend!

Darryl's Wood Fired Grill is a great stop for meeting people passing through Greensboro. It offers consistently good food and friendly service in a fun, laid-back setting, with plenty of parking to make the visit easy. The wood-fired grill dishes are classics for a reason, and the full bar--stocked with a strong selection of beer and wine, is perfect for unwinding after a long drive (my partner especially enjoyed the local IPAs). Portions are generous, and the diverse menu makes it easy for everyone to find something they'll love. I recommend the fried mushroom appetizer, they were so good we ordered them twice. The house-made crackers are also a must. Add in the quirky themed seating and outdoor fire pits, and Darryl's delivers a cool, memorable vibe you don't find just anywhere.

    Pizza crust chips/crackers

I have enjoyed going here for 25 year especially when they had in in Winston. The pizza crust chips/crackers have always been on point. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great ribs and very cool decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Very good ribs, bake beans, shrimp and bake potato, delicious the chicken tenders not flavored at all. Service was good, our waiter was very sweet and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is nice, a lot of decorations that make the place pretty cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pork chops with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli.

We love coming to Darryl's whenever we're in town. The decor is so comfortable, the staff is excellent, and the food is fantastic. Our server, Jan, took great care of us today! We were treating a friend to an early birthday dinner and she chose the same meal as me, but different sides. We both got the pork chops, she had mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli, and I chose baked beans and slaw. The pork chops were to die for!! We both had them add bbq sauce while cooking and some on the side. The pork was as tender as a perfectly cooked steak and the flavor was wonderful. I look forward to the leftovers I brought home. My spouse got a full rack of baby back ribs so she'd have leftovers too with baked beans and mac n cheese. She's never had their mac n cheese before and commented how good it was. The ribs and beans were excellent as to be expected. I know if there was a location in the Triangle we'd be regulars, but it really isn't too far for an occasional visit when we get a craving!

Darryl's Three-Way Sampler Chicken tenders, barbecue ribs, Cajun shrimp with cheddar grits, and mac & cheese
    Mary W.

I was pleasantly surprised with our most recent trip to Darryl's. It's been many years since I've come here, but I've been seeing it was growing in popularity again, which I love to see because Greensboro definitely can't stand to lose another establishment! So we made reservations, which I'm actually glad that we did because it was very busy on a Saturday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat upstairs, which was really cool. I've always loved the vibe here. The decor is really nostalgic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the sampler which comes with chicken tenders, Cajun shrimp, and BBQ ribs +2 sides of your choosing. I went with the cheddar grits and mac & cheese. We also ordered a plate of crackers for the table. And a French onion soup to split. Everything was so tasty, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. They also don't skimp you on the sides of sauce, which I appreciate as a sauce queen! Our waitress, Ashley, was the best! She was super attentive and never made us feel like a bother even though I felt bad because I know she had to go up and down the stairs a lot. I feel like the prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food that you receive. I will absolutely be back and I can't wait to check out more popular items!

    Pretty.
    Jack D.

Great and cured ambience. Even their landscaping is meticulous. This had so much potential. Many rooms with different motifs. A good spot for drinks and dessert. And great service. However!!!! Business dinner. The hot spinach came with stale corn chips. Two entrees. Cajun fettuccine was bland. Grilled chicken Caesar was hard to eat. The grilled chicken came straight out of the freezer. It had that subtle taste of freezer and plastic bag. The cheesecake and key lime pie were very good. But the whole package was very subpar.

Our server was excellent, the wine list is impressive, my local beer was fantastic, and my wife enjoyed her wine. The food was where things slipped. My wife's wood-fired salmon was pretty good, but her vegetables came out with no seasoning at all. My wood-fired filet was cooked exactly right, but it also had no seasoning, and when you find yourself asking for steak sauce for a filet, something has gone wrong in the kitchen. Then the peach crumble showed up and stole the entire night. It is genuinely amazing, and I'd tell anyone within earshot to order it. Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks, and a dessert worth the trip. If the kitchen brings the seasoning up to the level of everything else, this is easily a four-and-a-half-star restaurant.

It was a theater night when we went and we had a 7.30 show to goto and our server knew that. We got there at 5.30 so figured that gave us the 10 mins to walk to the theater to be on time. We started off with some drinks. My friend loved her cherry ale and I really enjoyed my G&T , the glass it came in was just so unusual. The G&T took awhile to finally make it to me but i loved it. We ordered the tuna tartare and that was delicious and served up with fried green tomatoes which was a different take on it. Nice and fresh and nicely presented. Our entrees were the salmon for my friend and I had the Bahn mi chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Usually this sandwich is with pork so I wanted to try this. The service for our dinner took almost 45 mins we had finished the app awhile back and my grind had another drink and still we were waiting. It was closing in on 6.50 Pm and at this point we would be inhaling our food when it came and rushing out the door . It came at 7pm and the sandwich was good but they should mention on the menu that it has mayonnaise on it as I don't like that but there was quite a bit on the bun. Not typically in this type of sandwich so I wasn't expecting it. The chicken was a good and flavorful and lots of other veggie fillings and the fries were great. My friend really enjoyed her salmon and the risotto it came with. Just disappointed we had to eat it all so quickly and leave some so we could pay and leave. We had our eye on the lemon posset tart for dessert but we didn't have time . We just thought since the server knew we had theater tickets she would have been more on top of it. Yes they were busy as it was a show night but the place wasn't totally full. Seemed like no urgency when we asked how long the food would be as we had to leave soon. I'd maybe try this place again on a non show night, as I thought they had a great menu. I enjoyed the place just not the service as we barely made the show before the lights went down.

The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, intimate, and inviting -- the kind of space where conversation flows easily and you feel taken care of without ever being rushed. Once seated, we were fortunate to have Patrick as our server. He was far more than a waiter; he was a gracious host with a warm spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. His attentiveness, hospitality, and genuine pleasantness were truly top‑tier. As it was my first visit, Patrick guided me to the perfect drink -- a strawberry lemon drop that was crafted beautifully -- and helped me choose a meal that fit exactly what I was hoping for. My partner already knew his selection, and Patrick handled both of our orders with ease and confidence. I was especially impressed by how he kept our water glasses refreshed without us ever needing to ask. It's the small things that reveal great service, and Patrick excelled in every detail. Our seating was perfect, the ambiance was lovely, and the entire team treated us with kindness and professionalism. Patrick stood out in the best way, but everyone contributed to making our night memorable. On my next visit, Patrick will be requested -- without question. Thank you, Patrick, and thank you to the entire Epic Chophouse team for welcoming us so warmly. It meant a lot. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Valencia & James

Finally made it over to Epic Chophouse and this place absolutely delivered…read more Ordered the "104 Ribeye" with the potato cakes and both were incredible. The steak was cooked perfectly, seasoned right, and you could immediately tell the quality of the cut was there. The potato cakes were honestly the perfect pairing. Crispy, rich, and executed extremely well. Me and my folks ordered the Wagyu meatballs and shrimp as an appetizers and those were outstanding too. Tender, flavorful, and balanced without feeling overly heavy. But the real differentiator here was the service. That's what elevated this from simply being a great dinner to being a genuinely high-end experience worth every dollar spent. Our server was absolutely impeccable. Informative, knowledgeable, and clearly understood both the menu and the overall dining experience. He knew where the food came from, what paired best together, and guided the experience without ever feeling pushy or scripted. That level of professionalism matters, especially when you're dropping serious money on dinner, and because of that, not once did I look at the bill and feel irritated about spending nearly $200. Atmosphere was upscale and refined without being stiff or pretentious. Just a really well-balanced environment overall. Bottom line: well done on all levels. Food, service, atmosphere, execution... all of it. Definitely earned a return visit from me.
