I really enjoyed my recent experience at Chop House Burger. I was visiting in town on a work trip, and this place happened to be close by where I was staying. They must do a pretty good business, as the lunch hour had a very steady flow of patrons, both ordering to-go and eating in. It's hard to speak on the service, as I didn't have much interaction with staff. I ordered on their iPads at the front counter and the only interaction I had was when they briefly brought my food to the table and grabbed my table number. The food itself was great! I ordered the Bob Marley, which is a grilled jerk chicken sandwich with lettuce, onion, mango salsa, lime aioli, and pepper jack cheese, all served on a deliciously soft brioche bun. I would happily come back and give them my business again when I'm in the area! read more

1 Star - Would Give 0 If I Could I stopped in here on my lunch break, and let me just say... I witnessed EVERYTHING except good food. First, the kitchen had more PDA going on than a reality TV show. Apparently, cooking my lunch AND filming a romance scene were both on the menu. Then I watched an employee grab my burger with her bare hands - no gloves. Her hair was down, and she decided to pull it back with her hands while standing right next to the stove and food. Ma'am... we are cooking food, not auditioning for an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. ‍ After waiting forever for my food, I was at least expecting it to be fresh and hot. Nope. My burger and fries showed up colder than my ex's heart. At this point, I had to ask myself: Did I order lunch, or did I accidentally sign up for a front-row seat to a kitchen romance with complimentary cold food? My friends from Church decided they wanted to meet here but, it was closed on Sunday. We were super bummed because, we really wanted to eat here. We had already studied the menu. Lol. I had Jury duty Monday and was blessed with $20. I remembered this place was near by so, I headed to Chop House Burger! I'm so glad I remembered where it was at. I walked in and was greeted right away by two Hispanic females working in the kitchen. It's a great feeling to be welcomed in but, it's also nice to be welcomed by pleasant ambiance. It's clean inside with a few booths and short stools and tables? I ordered a Chop House Burger for $8.50. It was tiny but picture perfect. When the Cook brought my Burger to the table. I enthusiasticly, said, Thank You! That put a smile on her face. Lol. The Brioche Bun was soft and toasted around the edges. The Beef Patty was thick, seasoned well and a bit greasy with two fresh large slices of Tomatos. It was a bit dry too. I had to put Ketchup on it. I did not get Lettuce in my Burger either? That would have been nice since it cost $8.50. The Burger filled me up without making me feel stuffed. Score! I would definitely recommend this place. It's a great location in Downtown Fort Worth. My son and I went here for lunch today and had a terrible first experience. We each ordered cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, and onion plus one order of French fries. The burgers were of adequate size and taste. The buns on both our burgers were stale--so much so that I couldn't eat more than a bite of my burger. My son finished half of his, despite agreeing with me that the buns were stale. I went up to the counter and asked if I could have new buns. A woman wearing all black, who seemed to be the one in charge, said I would have to bring the burgers back. I then returned the two trays of burgers and she said, "I can't bring these to the back." I said I knew that and that's why I just asked for the new buns. She did offer to totally redo the burger order but I told her that wasn't necessary. She served me two new buns, but not until she told me that they do not have stale buns there. I said I disagreed with her statement. The replacement buns were slightly better but I think it was because they cooked longer on the grill so were softer. The French fries were okay. The drink machine was broken, which we were okay with since we usually get water. Another woman came in and got a 12 oz can of Sprite and told us she was charged $4.06. The employee later came outside to clean the tables--although we were the only ones on the patio, she did not ask us if we liked our bun replacements. There did not seem to be a lunch crowd. Price $24.38 seemed reasonable. I live just several blocks from here and I'm sure my son and I will never visit this establishment again. read more

Can't say that I would eat here again. Upon walking in we noticed the place was empty except for 1 person waiting on an order. There were 2 workers 1 on grill and 1 on counter. You order your food on the tablet which is fine. While putting inmy order the person working the counter came up and slide a number to me but didnt say anything. Later when our food was finishes she brought it out and seemed friendly but it was just crazy that she hadnt spoken to us until then. Condiments are on a counter and tables, drinks are self serve. The burgers and fries were just ok. The fried pickles were well seasoned but very spicy and I like spicy food. The overall atmosphere just wasnt welcoming and it threw off the whole trip. No one greeted you, the tvs were off, tables were not wiped, it felt like more of a place to just order and pick up than a sit down and eat place. read more

They actually tried to discourage people from eating there, starting an hour before closing time, telling people they were out of certain things, and 45 minutes prior to close they yelled out that they were closing soon every time someone walked in. This was surprisingly really good! We stumbled on this place by accident on a Saturday. I say stumbled, because although we intended on going to the name of this restaurant it was not at all where we thought it was. Tho, once in the ares, it was worth going. It's a clean place. Small on the interior. It's not a sit and order establishment, it's a place were you order first than sit. The do bring it to you, tho once dropped off, don't expect any more interaction. The food was good. I had the Bob Marley that comes with Jerk Chicken, it was good, better than average, tho not on the amazing side, very good tho. Wife had the El Luchador, and oddly enough that burger was really, really good!! The tostada on it adds a little something extra, but the smattering of flavors is a great combination. We did get the Parmesan truffle fries as well. We were not impressed with these at all. It was a lot of Parmesan and very little truffle. However, there were more fries than we expected. The, we wanted the truffle taste, which I was extremely lacking. Staff was really quiet, didn't say much. No real interaction. Prices aren't bad, it's on the $10 side of burgers and fries are not included, you will pay extra for those. It was very quiet on the the Saturday we visited. It is downtown, and downtown during lunch isn't the busiest of places. Night crowds and business lunches during the week are probably their demograpchic. Stopped by on a Friday afternoon about 2pm for our first ever visit. The restaurant is neatly tucked into a corner of a building near the Worthington hotel. We were kindly greeted as we entered as we walked up to order. Our counter person kindly gave us some reviews of the burgers and I went all the way with the bacon cheeseburger and truffle fries. My better half had the chicken melt with a nice cold Dallas Blonde ale. We sat down in the ample dining room--they also have outdoor seating--to get out of the midday heat. The restaurant is nicely decorated in an industrial butcher shop look. Our food was quickly delivered and we devoured all of it. The burger was juicy and flavorful and the toppings were just right. The bun was nice and fresh with just a tad of crispy goodness around the edges. And then the order of fries with freshly shredded Parmesan was a nice side. I just had THE BEST TASTING burger of my life!! Like another reviewer said, I stumbled into this place not knowing it was what I was actually looking for, lol! Signage isn't the best, but if you're lucky to try it...you won't be disappointed. SUPER JUICY and flavorful burger! I just got the Chop House burger. Nothing fancy. Holy cow! I basically I am on a mission to try all the best burgers in the city of Fort Worth and I have covered many up to this point, finally one day I got downtown to try this place. I arrived and immediately appreciated the small size of the place and the color scheme of the decor, they had some decent beers on tap including Billy Jenkins bock, and Blood and Honey. I ordered a burger called la luchadore it had beef patty,fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, a tostada,queso fresco and some delicious sauce! They even asked what temp i wanted my burger cooked away which is a huge plus for me considering i prefer medium rare and most places these days just cook all burgers to medium,I also had the parmesan truffle fries which were awesome! Not at all impressed. I found this place years ago from diners, drive-ins & dives. I was hooked from the start. We live 2.5 hours away, so we don't get to come very often. We'll see were in DFW this week and I had to go, but Google took to me to chop house burger, not burgerS. I was not happy. But since we were already there, we ate, so disappointing! I ordered the bacon burger and asked to have the steak sauce on the side along with the onions & Jalepenos. The Jalepenos weren't there at all & the sauce overwhelmed the taste of the burger. My husband also ordered that but got something with truffle oil and heavy, heavy garlic taste. Definitely not wheat we wanted. So on the way out of town today, I found the original Chop house burgers again.!!! I spoke to the owner & asked about the other place, turns out it was an ex co-worker & to get away with the similar name he just dropped the s. Which I don't think is cool, can't they be original?? I attempted to eat here today. It was lunch time, not a crazy rush, but there were a few people. I ordered and told the manager I'll be sitting outside. He said no problem, "I'll remember you". I ordered my food at 12:26. At 12:56, no food had arrived. I went into the restaurant and walked by a few people who were almost done who ordered after me. I only ordered a chop house hamburger and fries( very simple order). I asked why to was taking so long he promptly said they were busy. No apology was given. I asked for a refund... none was given. He than gave me my food. A burger and fries is not a 30 min wait. If you are looking for friendly, prompt service do not eat here. They will easily forgot about you if you happen to sit outside. Clearly they need a better system and a better manager. If the business owner is reading this, please contact me. I would appreciate a refund. I basically missed my lunch and had to eat a cold expensive. Also retrain your staff. They should tell customers as they order it will be minimum of 30 min. read more

I tried the Signature Chop House Burger cook medium with the truffle fries. This burger was so juicy and the flavors blew me away. The fries were excellent.
