Really delicious hamburgers in a "hole-in-the-wall" type joint. I love that there's so much outdoor seating and it really is a no frills type of place. The burgers here remind me of burgers I would get after a drunken night, partying at a club back in my 20s. It brings so much nostalgia. These burgers are greasy (in the best way possible). My husband had the Project X which has Tabasco sauce cooked in the meat. I had a the avocado burger. Both were really delicious and very filling. Service was wonderful. Tried this place today after seeing it on a "list" of burger places to try in Fort Worth. Was very disappointed overall . Burger had no seasoning, little taste . Tots had zero salt. 12 oz drink for $2.95. Two of us ran $48 . Let's not forget the added 3% for credit card fee. 12-30-25. Sadly folks, I have to update my review of Charlie's. Which before was a gleaming 5 stars. However since Charlie's has taken over new ownership, the quality just isn't there. This used to be the place you would drive 10 miles for a good burger and great fires. Now, I won't even exit the freeway for it. The fries used to be huge, thick cut greasy fries, where those alone would make it worth the drive. Now it's just fry crumbs. And the burger Pattie's were individually seasoned and you could taste in every bite. Now, just thin cut fries like you get anywhere else and probably just a frozen patty thrown in the grill with no special touch to either of them. And to top it off. The prices have increased. Which is a good places death sentence to raise the price and go cheap on quality at the same time. That's a sure way to make people find other places. I paid $21.68 for a double meat burger and fries. No drink. I would happily pay that for the old Charlie's. But for this good, maybe $12.95. Better go back to the old owners practice. I was in kind of a hurry when I stop by Charleys on this day. I figured out fast that I should have called in my order because it is a very popular spot and it takes a little while to get your order. The prices were a little bit higher than I expected so I was hoping for a really good burger and fries to go along with that. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes for our order and decided to go ahead and take it home to eat because it was so hot outside and there weren't many seats inside. The burger was really good maybe not as good as those high prices lol but I did enjoy it and I wish the fries would've been a little bit more crispy. This evening was my first, and I hate to say it, my LAST time to visit this burger stand. I so wanted to like this place as it's just a short drive from me and a cool little building, but after tonight, I'm not likely to ever return - it was *that* bad. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a tea. I sat down to wait for my order to arrive and when it did, there was no cheese on the thin little patty and the fries were very salty and cold. I brought this to the attendant's attention, and they put, what appeared to be, a thin slice of cheese on the burger and replaced the fries.
