Ordered through door dash. Horrible experience! Will never order from the Bob Wallace store again. Shorted on dressing went back in to get extra dressing. They argued with me about 1 dressing. Chrissy, Lord of the Balsamic, was very nonchalant and when I asked for a manager was completely indifferent about the situation. Told me the manager was not there that they went to another store to get a blender. I said I'd wait. Not once did they even offer for me to buy an extra dressing or even apologize. It was just a "too bad so sad" non caring environment. Once the manager came back to the store it was clearly F U to me. Then I realized once I opened the salad they made it wrong. They basically told me my eyes were lying and what was clearly NOT in the salad was there. I am reporting them to the better business bureau as I can not covey in words how this experience made me feel. I was shamed for using door dash or adding an extra dressing or literally showing them there was no romaine lettuce on my salad... Or maybe it was that I had the nerve to say something about it. What a gem in Huntsville. Being a vegan is difficult at some places but not here. This place is unashamedly vegan - ie, it doesn't try to "faux meat" anything but lets the legumes, rice, greens etc stand on their own merit. The food was fresh, healthy and a great value for money. We ordered Elote Bowl and the Mediterranean bowl. Both were really good and so plenty that we needed to carry the boxes away. They also have designed the takeaway boxes very thoughtfully. Only advice is to go sparse on the dressings - We felt that medium was towards a lot for us and next time we will order low amount of dressings. All in all - a great institution serving the public with honest, clean and unapologetically vegan food. read more

I wasn't impressed. For a $17 "fish and chips" salad, I expected more than (reasonably well cooked) salmon, a ton of greens...and nothing else. I will give them credit: the ingredients seemed fresh, but we're talking raw veggies here...and it's a salad joint so I would expect that. Execution, however, just wasn't there. Lumpy quinoa on the bottom, nearly nonexistent and flavorless salad dressing (that was supposed to taste like jalapeno!), nothing about the flavors worked... Exorbitantly overpriced--just go to Whole Foods across the street and hit up the salad bar for a better experience. Ordered online for pickup here the other day. Cool service and easy online ordering system, with the option to heavily customize your salad (and corresponding price reduction/increase for every ingredient you subtract or add, which is kind of nice). Not lots of places are still super gung-ho about curbside anymore, so I really appreciate the effort here. I placed my order and requested that it be ready at 11:30. I received a text at 11:08 saying my order was ready to be picked up, before I even left my house. Not sure if my meal was just sitting around or in a fridge or what till I got there, but that was kind of weird. Oh well. I arrived and parked in one of the designated pickup spots. This isn't CHOPCHOP's fault, but be advised that the parking area feels veeeeeeery tight for those of us in slightly larger vehicles. There's not a ton of room to back out without fearing hitting cars parked opposite you, and traffic is fairly heavy in both directions. Maybe come at a slower time, in a smaller car, or walk in for carry out if you're an anxious driver like me. At any rate, I called and my order was brought out to me. The employee was masked and gloved and polite and my order was nicely bagged. I arrived home with my food and was a little disappointed with what I saw. Boyfriend ordered one of the seasonal offerings, the roasted brussels salad, which consists of sort of holiday-inspired fare (pecans, butternut squash, cranberry vinaigrette), and I ordered the Korean BBQ bowl, which has ingredients similar to your standard bibimbap (so bean sprouts, mushrooms, shredded carrots, egg, etc). However...I was a little confused on the presentation. The Korean BBQ bowl is listed under the menu as a "warm grain bowl," and the first ingredient is listed as wild rice. In my head, I assumed this would be more like the grain bowls you get at a place like Zoe's Kitchen, where the base is mostly (you guessed it) grain. What I got was an absolutely HUGE pile of spinach with a small handful of wild rice thrown on top. Spinach was listed as an ingredient, but after the wild rice. I assumed it would be the other way around: lots of wild rice, little bit of spinach. Okay, a little disappointed, but I'll write it off as user error. Still excited to try, but unfortunately still not super wowed. There was sooooo much spinach, and not a ton of anything else. It was like a small hole had been hollowed out in the bowl where a small handful of the toppings had been thrown in, and the rest was just spinach. The mushrooms were soggy and mushy, there was very little chicken, and not a ton of bean sprouts or cucumber, either. They did well enough with the egg and carrot amounts, and to their credit, the Korean BBQ dressing was quite tasty, with a good heat. Unfortunately, there wasn't much flavor aside from the dressing and the egg. Boyfriend felt similarly about his (too much base, not enough toppings), but he unfortunately didn't like the cranberry vinaigrette at all. I tried it and agreed -- it looked and tasted medicinal. Wound up giving him one of my KBBQ dressing cups. Final thoughts: prices are pretty high (ranging from about 11-16 bucks, though most fall in between), but ingredient quality and service are pretty good, so perhaps worth it for a treat or if this is one of your favorite foods. Online ordering system and pickup ran well for me, and I really appreciate that they list calorie information for everything. However, I'm just not that big of a "salad as a meal" kind of person, so I'm not sure this place is for me. CHOPCHOP is very well liked by plenty of people in Huntsville, since they were able to grow to more than one location, so your mileage may vary. read more

Extremely expensive for what you get. Like EXTREMELY expensive. Took a friend out and we both ordered salads from the menu and two teas and it was topping $50 BEFORE the tip. We didn't get any extras and didn't get anything like shrimp or seafood or anything, just two salads. The place is clean but a lot of the tables are upstairs so it's not friendly to those of us who are older and have knee/hip issues. Also the drinks are all fancy (no regular sodas at all) . Always great size portions and the freshest ingredients. I started eating here about 2 years ago at their University Drive location, and couldn't be happier that they opened this one CLOSER to me! I love the fact that everything is fresh, and you can add/delete Ingredients as desired on their Salads, or just build your own! I also like that there is a good variety of Proteins (i.e. I like MEAT) to choose from. Yummy!!! Sorry, no pics. We were way too hungry & it was waaay too yummy! Staff was nice. Ingredients fresh. No nasty lettuce noted. Hip vibe & had upstairs seating. Not sure what other locations look like but wondered how a person with a disability would maneuver this space. I feel like this staff would ensure every person had access. ZERO STARS+0 Stars= ZERO! This place is expensive and stingy with the toppings. You would think that since you're only getting vegetables, they wouldn't mind sprinkling some extra without charging you an arm, a leg, a few brain cells, a couple of knuckles, and both of your feet. Almost every salad is the same so I would suggest creating your own, but beware they are going to charge you for every single topping that you put on your lettuce. $$$ *Get The lettuce on the side because if you don't it'll all get wilted and wet -that's so unappealing and disgusting plus when you get the lettuce with the salad that's pretty much all you get. Other customers on here complain that the salad is dry and they are absolutely RIGHT! Make sure you get as much dressing on the side as possible or as you desire and then stand there while they try to argue with you over what size cup of dressing you can have and give you so much hell over dressing! After getting the salad the way that I wanted it, and then getting my dressing, I go to the register and end up paying $36 for a salad and that is the last time I'm going to chop and fresh unless someone gives me a great gift certificate that has at least $100 on it because one salad is gonna cost almost half of that. You can make your own salad at home with the exact same ingredients that they have after a quick trip to Walmart as long as you have a knife to cut your cucumbers and your tomatoes, you should be fine. Don't you just love the way they pick up a scoop of vegetables and then shake most of it off and throw it in the bowl to mix it? So, when they do that, I tell them please do you not take anything off the scoop as a matter of fact, give me an extra two scoops. My first salad there I ate it and I was happy until I reached the bottom of the bowl because guess what? there were no toppings!!! They also need to put in an elevator because not everyone can climb the stairs to eat inside their dining room space which is only upstairs. Don't buy a drink here because you're going to pay just as much for your drink as you do for your salad even if it's water. One of the employees left to go all the way upstairs to get the manager just to bring him down because I asked for extra dressing I mean seriously... I think I was being punked make sure you get fresh lettuce and not that brown crap that sits in there all day waiting for someone to order it. With the price you pay here, don't settle for less get exactly what you want because you are going to pay for it no matter what!!! What a joke as a salad house and they're definitely thieves. When you look at the pictures I post of my salad looks full and beautiful please DO NOT expect yours to look like that because that is me adding extra everything to the salad in order to get it the way I want it and to ensure I have toppings on top of my lettuce!!! Sometimes you just don't feel like cooking and want something healthy. This is our go to place. We like the Sweet Home Alabama salad here. The employees are friendly and efficient too. Clean and appealing decor with a good line flow. Would be nice if they had a cookie side option ... but probably for the best. read more

I LOVE ChopChop! I'm here at least 1-2 times a week or more. You can select one of the salads as is, you can change it up or build your own. The balsamic vinaigrette is delicious! I can't break away from it. I'd like to buy the whole bottle. The toppings are fresh and they say it's as local as they can get. One review blasted the price. Ok, it is more expensive than many salads. However, you're not getting brown iceberg lettuce. And local means paying more. They sell Kombucha at the Bob Wallace store. I fell in love with that, too. If you don't like salads, this is not for you. But, if you do and you're looking for more plant based options (no, I'm not a vegetarian) this is a great place. Even my Alpha-gal and gluten-free friends enjoy here, not to mention my meat-eater friends as well. When I eat ChopChop, I leave with a good full feeling and not a sluggish "I need a nap" feeling. Before I tried CHOPCHOP, I had only eaten one salad in my entire life and I hated it. But after trying their chipotle honey vinaigrette, I knew I was in love. There are several different signature salads to try so there's something for everyone, even the pickiest of eaters like myself. Living in Athens, CHOPCHOP is about a 30 minute drive just to get a salad, but it is well worth it in my opinion. read more
