I really like the salads here. I decided to branch out and try the wrap. Usually this place has super fresh ingredients and everything is great, but today was just ok. A lot of my lettuce was kind of soggy in the wrap, so I figured it's cause it's a warm wrap. Then closer inspection, I had pieces of brown lettuce, that's not from heat. So, while this is the first not so great experience, I still would come here. I wouldn't get the wrap again though. Every place has off days, still a solid place. read more

Chop Stop on Durango is a salad spot with a variety of salads, build your own salad, wraps called "Chopaninis", bowls called "Chopurritos", Quesadillas, Chips and beverages. Recommended by a co-worker and it was a great recommendation for lunch. My first time here and I absolutely love that their greens are chopped and everything else is chopped that goes into your choice of salad or bowls. Because sometimes ain't gonna lie there's been times when in my salad experience I get big chunks and long chunks and I have to use a knife to cut them up. Friendly and quick service. Generous Portions for the Salad Bowls good for two people to share. Prices are reasonable. Clean dining area. On the menu: Build your own Salad Bowl - romaine lettuce, shaved Parmesan cheese, tofu, egg whites, sunflower seeds, carrots and celery with Cesar dressing. The salads have a nice variety of veggies, proteins, and toppings to make it an interesting and tasty salad to eat. It would be difficult to make a salad like this at home without having to buy a bunch of ingredients. There's also a variety of wraps and burritos you can order. The one dressing cup included is a little small however. It's enough to lightly dress the entire bowl, so I'd recommend to purchase an extra for 53¢. We tried the Goddess Chop Salad and Poké Chop Salad. Both were 5/5. They had a good proportion of all the ingredients and the dressing was very tasty and paired nicely. Service was super friendly, and our salads were made in just a few minutes. They make the salads fresh when ordered. The inside is clean with a few tables to dine-in. I made minor adjustments by asking for double protein. While it's a large bowl, I feel the toppings are a little light. I asked for double protein and that looked like what I feel a regular amount should look like. The tuna was a miss though. It was salty, as if it was cured. I wish they would have told me it wasn't like traditional poke tuna. The saltiness really threw me off. $19 for a mid-salad, can't say that I'm a fan enough to return. We also tried the bbq chicken chopanini which is essentially a salad wrapped in a vibrant spinach tortilla and grilled to crispy perfection. This one was loaded with sweet and tangy chicken, tomato, black beans, roasted corn, romaine, and ranch sauce. Flavorful and very filling. I ordered the poke salad from this location and unfortunately discovered an INSECT (cucumber beetle as Google helped me determine) mixed into my salad. It appeared to have been chopped during prep as only one leg looked to still be attached and its rear end was gone. This is a garden pest, which means it likely came in on unwashed produce and went through food handling. While I did receive care through Uber Eats (where I ordered from), this raises serious sanitary concerns. If a bug can make it through food prep, what else might be slipping through? I hope that management reviews their produce washing and inspection process right away to prevent future contamination. This is not just a cosmetic issue, it's a matter of food safety and sanitation. I have been to this particular Chop Stop a handful of times. At first visit awhile back, being unfamiliar with the brand, I liked my salad, but nothing was blowing wind up my skirt on this place and I did not Yelp about it. I felt like it was like the Subway of salad joints. But I often find myself near the intersection of Warm Springs and Durango and am in need of something to pick up for lunch or dinner that I want to be healthy, green based and quick (quicker than Urth Cafe can afford me up the street in Uncommons). I have been continually returning to this Chop Stop because like Subway, this spot in consistent. Consistent on guaranteed fresh quality greens in my salad. Consistent in the variety of vegetable based options. Consistent in the quick pace in which this salad will be prepared so I can bolt out the door and head home. Consistent on the person behind the counter being welcoming, helpful and no frills about explaining something I might ask. Consistent in that I walk out with what I feel is a great value and a fresh salad. And as I go on and on about the Subway of salad, please know you can get all this consistency mentioned about on a sandwich or a wrap as well. Many many options for plant eaters and meat eaters who should eat more greens alike. It does get expensive, though, as you add toppings. I also would've liked an option to have everything tossed with the dressing rather than the dressing on the side, as it's hard to get the dressing distributed throughout otherwise. On 8/31/25 at 4:42 PM, I placed a $24.04 order through Chop Stop's website, which was set to be delivered by DoorDash (their delivery service). Unfortunately, the driver never delivered my salad. Someone from DoorDash even contacted Chop Stop on my behalf, but I never received my order or a refund. When I followed up, Chop Stop told me the best they could offer was a replacement salad two weeks later. I've been a loyal customer for a long time and have never had an issue before, but the way this was handled was extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, the manager, Bre, was rude and dismissive instead of helping resolve the situation. I paid for food I never received, and the customer service left me frustrated. I chose to customize my own while my boyfriend got the Santa Fe Chop. I tasted my boyfriend's salad and let's just say I think I will ordering it next time I go. My salad was nothing short of delicious! For my dressing, I chose to mix the Cilantro Line vinaigrette with the Lemon vinaigrette. A great combo! This is in the same plaza as Yak's Fitness, Mr. Shota, Amazing Thai 2 and Vons grocery store. We've been here during lunch and dinner hours and customer service were attentive both times. So far, we have ordered the Salmon Chop, Viva Mexico Chop and Create Your Own Salad. They are very accommodating and you can personalize your salad to your heart's content. Everything looked and tasted fresh. I love creating my own salad and opting for kale and spinach since the pre-created salads use chopped iceberg lettuce. There were about less than ten tables available so I wouldn't recommend this spot for long term meet ups but more of a casual grab n go place. I have tried the chopped Cobb which is my favorite and used the green goddess dill! Yummy! First time visit here last night. We got a Viva Mexico chop, a Greek chop, and a custom chop. We were nicely surprised how good they were. The box they come in may not look very large, but the salad fills it up well. Notable things were that the salad greens and all the toppings are cut small, so no problem having big pieces of lettuce or whatever falling off your fork. Also means the salad dressing they toss in it covers the fillings nicely. The chipotle lime dressing is very good. The jalapenos in the Viva Mexico salad added a nice kick to the salad.
