Think the style of Panera Bread but 1000X the quality. Their bread is so delicious that you can eat it without anything and be satisfied. Service is pretty quick(you order through the screen right at the front and they drop off the food right to your table). Ambiance is average. It's somewhere you go for lunch on a break from work or to get something tasty quick. My friend loved the food too(he got tritip sandwich and I got bahn mi and a Greek salad). Very very good for the price point and portion you get, however I ordered prior to the start of a huge rush and got my food after 35 minutes which was supposed to be a portabella mushroom sandwich with melted cheese. After we got the sandwich, we noticed that the cheese was completely cold. There were other people who ordered after us which had bigger orders and receive their food prior to us. Different story today: We've been coming to Urbane for a long time because their salads are usually excellent. The portions have always been generous, with plenty of fresh ingredients, a good amount of grilled chicken, and a warm, freshly baked piece of bread on the side. That's exactly why we keep coming back. Unfortunately, today's visit was very disappointing. My salad looked like it was made with much smaller portions and was carelessly put together. The grilled chicken, which is usually generous, was reduced to about five very thin strips, which felt like a joke for the price. The bread was another letdown. Instead of being warm and fresh, it was cold and stale. I asked if I could have a fresh piece, but the replacement was just as stale. I'm not sure what changed today. It almost seemed like a different person prepared the food because the quality was nowhere near what we've consistently experienced in the past. I hope this was just an off day, because Urbane has always been one of our favorite places for salads. However, if this is the new standard and this is what we can expect the next time we come in, we will unfortunately have to take our business elsewhere. This is their second location located on S Rainbow Blvd. In front of the Aldi store And it is very spacious, big parking lot. They ONLY use fresh ingredients and also they bake their bread and cookies on the spot all day long!!! Which makes it extremely rare these days for the restaurant to make it everything from the scratch and everything is fresh- nothing frozen EVER!!! They use local ingredients and make healthy delicious sandwiches, bowls and farm fresh salads. They have a great selection of hearty meals , including vegetarian options too. The side salads served with those sandwiches are pretty decent as well. The real treat are their cookies ( available in several different flavors - my suggestion " white chocolate cranberry " MUST TRY ) and of course baked fresh daily and served warm and so soft and delicious! Honestly the best cookie that I've ever had! They also have a healthier version of fountain drinks " CRAFT BATCH SODAS " and they are even tastier than regular Coke or Pepsi products. We had their sandwiches and they were delicious, freshly made and served warm. Yummy The menu is diverse with a lot of delicious choices, whatever you choose from the menu is great, so you can't go wrong. I was originally invited to check this place out through the Yelp Elite experience. I had a great visit and came back with my kids a few weeks after. The service was still amazing, the cookies (my favorite) are warm and our sandwiches and side salads is absolutely fresh and delicious. They're made to order and portion size is big. I've been excited for this location of Urbane Cafe to open, and I'm happy to welcome a new sandwich place to the neighborhood. I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt since they're newly opened, but I feel like there are more than a few things that can be improved. First, the atmosphere is sleek and modern, almost with an industrial warehouse feel. The seating is uncomfortable, so this isn't a place you'd want to sit and chat or linger. The hard wooden chairs and metal accents really did a number on my back, even after a quick half an hour meal. There are also a majority of high top tables, which are really difficult to climb up in to sit. I was with my 75 year old mom and we had to wait to get one of the low tops since she could not get up in the high top seats. Since it was my first time, I downloaded the app for the free cookie offer. I also decided to order through the app to make things easier. We got a kid's sandwich meal and a regular sandwich meal, no drinks. This place needs a better pick-up system too. When I got there, my sandwiches still weren't ready even after about 15 minutes. Even worse, the pick-up shelf is in the back of the restaurant, unmonitored, and close to a back entrance. This means anyone could just waltz in and grab the food that's ready. I think that's a real issue. Not only are there tons of dishonest people, it's very confusing and I could see it being common for folks to accidentally (or not) grab the wrong order and go. The to-go packaging was quite nice, very sturdy with the sides separated (so no soggy sandwiches)! The kid's sandwich was a rather large portion, and the side of fruit was also big. I would probably eat the kid's meal next time, it was a lot of food! The fruit bowl side had mostly cheap fruit: grapes, melon, and pineapple with a couple of strawberries. The adult sandwich came with a side salad, which was absolutely gross. It was nothing but slightly wilted spinach, a sprinkling of what looked like feta, and a mandarin orange slice. I mean, no restaurant should serve a salad like that! It tasted bad and looked like food fit for a cow. The sandwiches were just okay. We both found the bread to be fresh and soft, but overly salty. I think maybe someone in the kitchen triple salted the bread that day, because we weren't able to eat it due to how salty it was. Salt just would crust and shake right off the top if you touched it. Bleh. I am not sure if it is typical for the bread to be this salty, but it was borderline inedible. The turkey and cheese seemed to be good quality, and I was enjoying my sandwich...until I took a bite and pulled out a wax paper cheese wrapper! I didn't tell the kitchen because they were so busy and I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for a sandwich, but it was gross and I (understandably) lost my appetite after that. See my photos of the cheese wrapper that was made into my sandwich. Hoping the free cookie would save our meal, we decided to give it a go. The chocolate chip cookie was large and plenty to share, and it was slightly undercooked and doughy, which I love! Unfortunately, this wasn't a highlight of our lunch. The cookie tasted chemically sweet and just wasn't worth the calories. I love the concept of Urbane Cafe, but this location is obviously having growing pains. Came once when they first opened and once in the evening. First time I ordered the fish sandwich the bomb make sure you add extra spread and extra onion straws also ordered the cilantro chicken salad with cilantro lime vinaigrette omg that dressing sooo good. Anyway I ordered the same thing second time was so good. Let me tell you they make that focaccia bread fresh everyday so tasty. They brought it out and I tried them, half of each once I got home. The first one was the Californian.... house marinated artichoke hearts, avocado, sundried tomatoes, pepperjack instead of mozz, green leaf lettuce, herb aioli. I purchased extra herb aioli on the side, just in case. The sandwich was so tasty. I don't know how to explain it. Honestly, it was filling meaty due to the artichoke. I know it's tasty. I love sundried tomatoes, but that aïoli put it over the top, it's just super flavorful Herbie. The sandwich was the Bella portobello which consists of: marinated portobello mushroom, mozzarella cheese, sundried tomatoes, basil pesto, vegenaise, mixed greens with balsamic dressing... now that I'm thinking about it, I didn't really taste the balsamic vinegar. The mushrooms I was weary of a lot of places, their mushrooms smell bad like they've been sitting there. These ones were fresh and they weren't overcooked. Glad Urbane Cafe opened another location in the Southwest, Rainbow and Arby. Delicious sandwiches and salads and always a friendly smile to greet you. Their fresh baked focaccia bread is very good. The logo above the kitchen says it all "Delicious is in the details." Kiosks to order on or in person at the counter. Plenty of seating inside with some high top tables and even some outdoor seating. We have been here over 5 times now and will keep coming back lunch. The UC Banh Mi was very good 5/5, I love the BBQ Tri tip 5/5 and the pastrami tri tip as well. The Cilantro chicken salad was a large portion with fresh ingredients 4/5. Hearty Harissa chicken salad 5/5. The salmon salad was ok, I would have liked the salmon to be warm atop the salad 3/5. I wandered into this spot thinking I was just going to grab a sandwich... little did I know I was about to enter a committed relationship with bread. I ordered their most popular sandwich, the SoCal, and I swear the ingredients were so fresh I felt like I should've signed a waiver promising not to harm the produce. The bread? Unreal. Fluffy, warm, perfectly chewy... honestly, if this bread asked me to move in, I'd pack a bag. Then came the tomato bisque, which tasted like a cozy hug from someone who makes great life choices. I tried Urbane Cafe's Henderson location a while back, and was extremely happy to see one open up in the Southwest! Majority of the items on their menu are healthy, especially their bowls. Since the location is brand new, everything is clean and all the staff were attentive. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted as if I was in Japan again (everyone yelled out "welcome!"). I ordered from the kiosk, but they also had someone at the cash register. My order came very quickly, within 5 minutes of ordering. I got their Salmon Bowl and Dragonfruit Tea drink for my first visit at this location, and it's just as good as their first location, though I noticed their portion was a little smaller than what I had at their Henderson location. However, quality is the same. Everything was fresh paired well together. The staff went around offering mini cookies, though I declined as I am trying to control my blood sugar. Also, the staff were super friendly and took my empty bowl and tray when they saw I was done eating. Also, that little Focaccia Bread wedge wrapped in foil was soooo good! 3.5 stars for me. I live right around the corner from this place and decided to stop by today for lunch, it's in the new shopping center where Aldis is being built. The restaurant is super clean and inviting, staff were very friendly and welcoming, everyone greeted us with a smile. We took a look at the menu, then we ordered from the kiosk which was super easy and had clear instructions on how to order. We got the two salmon bowls. The food came out very quickly, we got our food within 5-8 mins of sitting down. The salmon was a little overcooked (not a deal breaker for me) but my boyfriend said his salmon was a bit hard, the rice was lukewarm at best and so were the sweet potatoes, I would liked it better if the rice and potatoes were warmer. The potatoes gave this bowl life and by that I mean, it was the only thing that I could taste, they were very good. Everything else was sort of flavorless even the sauce that was drizzled on top of the bowl, over all it wasn't bad but I wouldn't order it again because it didn't taste like anything to me. I have been waiting for Urbane Cafe to open up in the SW! We first tried them at their Henderson location and loved it but it is pretty far and inconvenient for us. Their SW location is located by the Peet's coffee and in the same general plaza that Aldi will be in. Their grand opening was this past Friday! Their menu is filled with sandwiches, salads, bowls, and soups! Everything is super fresh, they bake their bread in house, and they make all their sauces/dressing in house as well! My husband and I have gone three times since they opened cause we just loved it so much! My favorite sandwich is their steak chimichurri -- it has ample amounts of steak, delicious sauce, and pieces of arugula for the contrast of flavors. And their bread is absolutely amazing! Their salmon bowl is also equally tasty and has a good mix of ingredients -- protein, greens, grains, carbs, and starch! Perfect for a meal after working out. I love a good cobb and theirs is absolutely delicious. It doesn't come with any protein but I added chicken to it and made some subs with the cheese and dressing. Their cobb has some pickled onions with it and it added such a refreshing element to it. Definitely going to be my go-to when I want a salad! The service is awesome here! Everyone is super helpful. The prices are fair and the portion sizes are big! They have indoor and outdoor seating! Dogs are allowed outdoors, which is great. We actually did bring our pup with us one day for lunch and he had a blast. Would definitely recommend! PS: Use their app! You will accrue rewards and can use them towards their food items.
