They have a kids menu with a few good options which also came with a plate of fruit to start. We also received a free appetizer , I forget the name but the tuna poke crisps in the photo. We didn't have any drinks but they had a large menu. Tried the steak and lobster , fries and Mac and cheese. One steak was medium and one medium rare , cooked perfectly. Loved the ambiance, bar seating has comfy chairs though they felt a tad tall for me. Friendly staff and yummy food. Though I'm nowhere near being a cheese connoisseur, I do think I'm a huge fan of the french onion soup because of the swiss crust + crostini combo. Smoked ribeye was tender and presented itself with a beautiful crust. Each bite took me to cloud 9 :3 If you've got a little sweet tooth and don't mind the slightest hint of booziness, you've gotta try the pineapple upside down cake, I would loove to feast on that again. Chops was attached to our hotel the Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport Hotel & Resort. And we went there all 5 nights of our stay for a night cap. Sometimes we had food, but really we came here to hang out with Craig and Akbar over cocktails, bottles of wine, tumblers of scotch neat. Their service was exceptional. Great recommendation by the folks at the Westin! Sat outside as it was a nice day on their patio. There are 3 options of dining. Indoors, the patio and in the lounge. Great menu with ample choices that don't overwhelm you. I had the Birria egg rolls and they were fabulous. I actually recommended that the Birria sauce become a steak sauce. Stopped on for a quick bite during happy hour. The service was great. The waitress and waiter were super nice. I grabbed the Canadian Old Fashioned and Chili Garlic Shrimp Appetizer. The old fashioned was... well... pretty disappointing. Very watered down. The Chili Garlic Shrimp was excellent. The shrimp were large and cooked to perfection. They were juicy and plump! Been here a few times before but they've changed their menu for a bit this time. Ordered a Bone-In Ribeye and it came charred and crusted. After my first piece, it felt like I'm eating char and I couldn't imagine eating more. I complained to the manager. He explained that it was their proprietary way of cooking it but was very kind to replace it with another piece, this time cooked to perfection. Service was impeccable. Came here for my wife's birthday dinner. The place is nice as there is ample amount of parking as it is part of a hotel. There is free 3 hr parking but you need to use a qr code to add your plate and email. The hostess asked us if we drove and then showed us the little sign to scan the qr code for the parking. The staff are friendly and our waiter was good. He made recommendations for dishes, asked if we need top up of our drinks, etc. My wife's filet mignon was charred on both sides so she had to cut that off as it was too hard to eat. Not good to be that charred for a filet mignon. Mine was charred on one side, the other side wasn't so that side had flavor. The charred side had no flavor other than a burnt taste. The inside was a medium rare so that was good. For a steakhouse, you'd think their steaks wouldn't be charred so much that you just taste a 'burnt' taste. read more

Knowledgeable , personable, efficient and effective wait staff (THANK YOU!). Our first time here and chosen due to atrocious service and, poor quality of meat, and overcooked meat twice in a row at another steakhouse - never again to that regular since the early 70s! My family visited chop on last Sunday Jan 26, 2026 We checked in at 6:30pm and left around 8:00pm. The food there is OK. The accident happened just when I tried to put on my jacket, the server behind me spilled all the sauce from the cheesecake onto my white color jacket, and then he ran away and didnot notify me what had happened. When I discovered the jacket was all covered in red, the server came back in incident, and told me that was my fault not his, how do one know what's happen behind you. The server is so bad and not a professional. After that Jadyn came by and give me a card for taking care of the cleaning of my jacket. I feel very disappointed about the server's behaviour. Stopped here on way to catch flight at YVR. Not a lot of non-ethnic options nearby that are highly rated so thought we'd give the old Casino steakhouse a try. Shockingly, the atmosphere was much more upscale than expected. The food was very good and the service matched. It was priced reasonably, and we were well taken care of... if you are nearby, definitely would recommend. I haven't been here in almost 10 years and have been meaning to come back recently. My friend was in town and he was craving steak so we decided on Chop. The space is still nice and current even though there hasn't been any updates to the decor since I was here last. The service by Erica was excellent. She was very attentive, friendly and made great recommendations. There was minor misunderstanding with our appys that got quickly resolved with no issues. The manager on duty also came by to check on us which is always nice and often overlooked with today service industry. The main dishes were outstanding. We both had the smoked ribeye, Chicago-style medium rare. It was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. We opted for the lobster tail as well which did not disappoint. Many times I've ordered this at other restaurants and they usually seem like an afterthought, but in this instance it seemed they paid close attention. It was soft and buttery with no hint of "rubberyness". Overall I would give Chop high recommendations. The food was blaghhhhhh... My wife and I both ordered medium-rare steaks that were cooked well-done and greyish and tough. The steak bites were tough and powdery (hard to describe). Our friend ordered a chocolate lava cake which she couldn't eat more than one bite of because it tasted "way off". Another friend didn't eat more than a few bites... I presume it was also not good. This place provided excellent food and the best customer service that we have ever experienced in BC. Our dining experience had a few hiccups which were not a problem because of the way the staff managed the customer experience. Special thanks to our server Evan, who made our experience really nice. He knew the menu very well, made great recommendations and was always very attentive, happy and helpful. A special Thank You to one of the one if the Managers, John from Kolkata. He is a real professional, very polished, and provided a great customer experience. I do not know the names of others but everyone was great. Food: I went with the suggestion made by Evan and had the NY cut. It was cooked and presented perfectly. Loved it. However, my better half, ordered the filet mignon and it did not turnout well. It was just one of those days. Both Evan and John, with the support of the kitchen, worked hard to fix it. My wife ordered the cod fish which was also nicely done and well presented. As appetiser, we ordered the Tuna ahi Tataki which was made to perfection with Ceasar salad. Just like to start out by saying that the food here is very good. Cooking staff are very good. Trying to get a waitress is another matter. They tend to stand around at one end of the bar with a look that says they couldn't be more unhappy to be here serving people. I'm here quite often and it's not uncommon for the bartender or cook to take your order. read more
