    Flirtini

I was traveling by myself so I ate the wine bar. The service was great and the food was delicious. I got the Flirtini and it was perfectly made. For dinner I got the Walleye and Tomato Bisque soup with crab. Bother we're really good and nicely done. Next time I stay on this side of Ft Wayne for work I will for sure be back. They are located in a strip center and parking can be a little tricky since it seems to be pretty busy.

Chop's Wine Bar is a perfect place to stop for a night out with the girls or even a romantic date night. This is nestled right next door to Chop's Steak & Seafood and features a more casual vibe and atmosphere. The service is fantastic. The bartenders and waitresses know the menu very well and offer great suggestions. You can also find the manager nearby to ensure everything is as it should be. This is a great place for a casual drink and light food or even an entree and dessert after. Whatever you choose! I recently stopped in and ordered dessert after having dinner at the restaurant next door. It was pleasantly busy around 8PM. I ordered a Spanish coffee and the waffle dessert. Waffle, I know it sounds crazy, but it was delicious! Paired with salted caramel ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream and drizzled in chocolate. This was a unique, sweet treat! If you are looking for a place to stop on your night out, this is it!

A lovely dinner at the bar with my husband on Wednesday night. We enjoyed the Buddha bowl! Packed full of fresh veggies and noodles! Always a great go to for our plant based diet. Would love it even more if you could offer it with tofu! The live entertainment was very nice! Thank you

This place gets 4 stars for the atmosphere. The vibe is kickin'. The romantic wine bar side of Chop's Steak & Seafood is a must for a date night. It is also cozy for a girl's night out. A little bit of an older bar crowd seems to gather here - 30s-50s. It is tucked in next to asakusa. I suspect they get lots of traffic from people who live SW but work downtown. Perfect little spot for a happy hour with coworkers after a long day. Service is great. Although the wine bar side is more relaxed than Chop's you still feel like you are getting fine dining service. Servers seem to know the wine and cocktail list very well and can recommend drinks when asked. The food unfortunately never is over the top for me. It's good, but I wish it was great. This last time a few friends and I split the Mac n cheese, pretzel bread sticks, steak risotto, fish tacos, and a flatbread. I think the recurring factor is lack of flavor. Every time I order here I'm expecting greatness and I always enjoy my meal but there's just nothing special about it. Plates range from $5- less than $20 but I still think my $14 fish tacos are overpriced for the ingredients. I do enjoy the atmosphere and cocktails so I will continue to dine here with friends and will be waiting to be WOW-ed by a dish.

Great atmosphere especially when Brad is behind the bar. Martinis are delicious and wine list is great. Food is also not too shabby.

I think the use of wine bar is pretty loose when you only offer two Chardonnays by the glass and both are oaky. Won't be back for wine.

As great as the food was, the absolute highlight of our evening was our waitress, Kate. She went exceptionally above and beyond to make sure our experience was nothing short of wonderful. Her attentive service, warm hospitality, and professionalism truly elevated the entire night for our group. I also enjoyed a Saffron Masala Chai, which is easily the best chai I've ever had. The serving dishes & experience was more elevated than I was anticipating, so that was a real treat. A small detail, sure, but it makes the entire dining experience so much lovelier. The prices were very reasonable and as expected. As a seafood lover, I was sold just based on the name alone The building itself is pretty cool. We were told it dates back to the 1880s and is the 2nd oldest building in Indiana behind some other one in Indianapolis. You can definitely feel the history when you walk in. The place is small, with only about 14 tables, and everything is packed in pretty tight, but that's part of what gives it character. The old bar immediately grabbed my attention and looked like it hadn't changed much in over a century We started with the Parmesan baked oysters, which were outstanding and surprisingly fresh for being in the Midwest The homemade clam chowder was loaded with clams and flavor. It was so good it didn't need anything added to it. We also ordered a couple of smoked Old Fashioneds that were a great way to start the night I wanted sea bass, but they were out, so I went with the walleye fish and chips. It's honestly hard for me to pass up fish and chips when they're on a menu, I'm glad I did. The fish was well-seasoned and on point My wife went with a seafood combo that included seafood au gratin, bay scallops, shrimp, crab, applewood bacon risotto, and baked in a lobster creamy sauce Being in Fort Wayne for just one night, this ended up being a great find. The food was excellent, the service was friendly (Shoutout Lindsay) and the whole place had a nostalgic feel that made the experience even better If you're passing through and in the mood for seafood or live locally, I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

I've avoided trying them because I'd heard they were always busy and had long wait times. On this occasion we had no wait even though they were really busy. I'm really glad we gave the Black Dog Pub a try. Black Dog is located in a strip mall at the Coventry Plaza. Parking can be deceiving - if the front lot is full then park out back. There is a small outdoor eating area which you will encounter as you go inside. The Pub has an inviting but small bar located right at the entrance. The restaurant will only seat about 50 dinners inside. The four person table is very small. Not much room for 4 water glasses, 4 drinks, 1 appetizer dish and four entrees - actually painfully small. On this night the outside temp was 90 degrees. The kitchen wouldn't make pizzas, calzones or grill wings when it is this hot (safety reasons). The team here was very friendly and helpful. They really hustled, kept the refills coming and served us well!! The menu is fairly large - salads, burgers, pizza, sausage rolls/calzones, sandwiches, subs and wraps. Something for everyone. All items seemed reasonably priced...and the ones we tried were delicious! Here is a run down of the food items we ordered: -Onion Rings: Black Dog says these are the "Best in Town". I'd say they were really good and worth a try! They start with a thick piece of onion and hand batter it with a very thick coating. Not too oily. Not much added flavor in the breading. Just an outstanding onion ring! -Side House salad: nice sized salad with a variety of side vegetables and cheese. Everything was fresh and tasty. -Cole Slaw: "Our signature Cole Slaw" better be good! The slaw has medium sized cabbage and carrot pieces bathed in a very light mayo sauce. The dish is slightly sweet with a little added seasoning. It comes off refreshing and cool yo taste. I really liked this signature dish. -Sweet Chili Chicken wrap: my wife had the wrap. The chicken was moist and tender. The char broiling gives it an added flavor coupled with a very mild sweet chili sauce. No strong after taste kick. She really liked the delicious wrap. -8 piece jumbo wings: on the appetizer section of the menu for $11.50. In the 8 order...there were probably more large to medium sized wings than jumbo wings. My teriyaki wings were lightly fried such that the skins only had a small amount of crisp. The inside was thoroughly cooked - no pink. Unfortunately, they might have been a little over cooked as they were solid white and a little tough/dry. The teriyaki sauce was thinner in consistency. They dipped the wing in a healthy amount of sauce. Much of it pooled in the bottom of the basket. It had a decently dark and bold teriyaki flavor with no spicy after kick.
