I had reservations a few weeks ago. I was surprised to show up & find that the entire wine bar menu had been removed. I wish this would have been mentioned when I made the reservation, we drove over 40 minutes to dine there. Luckily another favorite spot was able to fit us in across the way. If you want dinner and a "show"? Sit at the food bar! It's fun to watch the chef prepare food and often it comes with great conversation. We had the salmon and the veggies with scallops. The food was filling but the overall satisfaction of eating clean makes it that much more delightful. Recommend reservations - even during a week day. I was traveling by myself so I ate the wine bar. The service was great and the food was delicious. I got the Flirtini and it was perfectly made. For dinner I got the Walleye and Tomato Bisque soup with crab. Bother we're really good and nicely done. Next time I stay on this side of Ft Wayne for work I will for sure be back. They are located in a strip center and parking can be a little tricky since it seems to be pretty busy. read more

This is nestled right next door to Chop's Steak & Seafood and features a more casual vibe and atmosphere. The service is fantastic. The bartenders and waitresses know the menu very well and offer great suggestions. You can also find the manager nearby to ensure everything is as it should be. This is a great place for a casual drink and light food or even an entree and dessert after. Whatever you choose! I recently stopped in and ordered dessert after having dinner at the restaurant next door. It was pleasantly busy around 8PM. I ordered a Spanish coffee and the waffle dessert. Waffle, I know it sounds crazy, but it was delicious! Paired with salted caramel ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream and drizzled in chocolate. This was a unique, sweet treat! This place gets 4 stars for the atmosphere. The vibe is kickin'. The romantic wine bar side of Chop's Steak & Seafood is a must for a date night. It is also cozy for a girl's night out. A little bit of an older bar crowd seems to gather here - 30s-50s. It is tucked in next to asakusa. I suspect they get lots of traffic from people who live SW but work downtown. Perfect little spot for a happy hour with coworkers after a long day. Service is great. Although the wine bar side is more relaxed than Chop's you still feel like you are getting fine dining service. Servers seem to know the wine and cocktail list very well and can recommend drinks when asked. The food unfortunately never is over the top for me. It's good, but I wish it was great. This last time a few friends and I split the Mac n cheese, pretzel bread sticks, steak risotto, fish tacos, and a flatbread. I think the recurring factor is lack of flavor. Every time I order here I'm expecting greatness and I always enjoy my meal but there's just nothing special about it. Plates range from $5- less than $20 but I still think my $14 fish tacos are overpriced for the ingredients. I do enjoy the atmosphere and cocktails so I will continue to dine here with friends and will be waiting to be WOW-ed by a dish. read more

This place has amazingly flavorful food that is well worth the price in my opinion. I got the patata bravas ($9) and it was so good my sister kept stealing bites of it. I had a flirtini ($7) to drink which was tasty and not skimpy on the alcohol. For dessert I had the chocolate lava cake ($9) which I definitely recommend splitting with someone else unless you're really hungry. The serving sizes are plentiful, I was so stuffed at the end of the night I was uncomfortable! I recommend trying them out! read more

Just ask for a traditional burger with mushrooms, cheese and onions...asked for it medium rare...absolutely PERFECT !!! One of the BEST Burgers I ever had! The bartender Laurie was great...engaging and great service...can't wait to come back! Chops Wine Bar has been and continues to be one of my favorite restaurants for a night out in Fort Wayne. The atmosphere is usually lively with a good crowd but not overwhelmingly so. I know it is a Wine Bar, but I love their cocktails, particularly the Raspberry Fizz which is tart, slightly sweet with a creamy egg white froth. Their cocktails are always perfectly made with an appropriate alcohol content. Last night I had the Pot Roast Flatbread which was awesome. The flatbread dough is delicious and was topped with chunks of beef, celery, carrots and fried onions. I also had the Mussels and Shrimp. So so good. They were bathing in a rich creamy garlic broth. I highly recommend both dishes. Our service was fantastic as well, making for a perfect evening at Chops Wine Bar. read more

So disappointed in the new menu! The CWB Salad has always been my go-to. At $9 it was the perfect meal or the perfect appetizer to share with a friend. The best part? The warm diced pork belly layered atop the salad. Except now the pork belly is an add-on for $6 to the newly priced $8 salad. The pork belly is also now doused in BBQ sauce. We went with a small group last night and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It is VERY loud (even the server remarked so), to the point of the server yelling and some individuals at our table not being able to hear her, so I don't think this is the best date-night spot. That aside, I really can't find any fault. It's got a trendy feel to it, but no snobby service. The setup allows you to sit comfortably at the bar or cozy into one of their tables. The drink selection was fine for me, but my fiance was ecstatic they had 3Floyd's zombie dust. I usually order a Malbec and the one I had (by the glass) was delicious. We all ordered small plates and ended up sharing and I liked everything. The mac and cheese is a huge portion compared to the portion size of everything else; it's definitely got a kick to it, but is creamy and decadent. The flatbread that day was tender pieces of steak atop spinach, covered in a light "coating" of melted gouda. The flatbread stayed crispy around the edges despite the juiciness of the meat, but we were very surprised it was served cold; I think it should have been served hot. I ordered the scallops and the only disappointment was that they were a bit small in size, but I understand where we are (regionally) it can be hard to guarantee beautiful, huge, fresh scallops every night. That being said, the flavor profile of the scallops' accompaniments was phenomenal - tart cherries, rich butter, a variety of seasonings... so good. They should turn that into a main course entree somehow! All in all, I recommend it for meeting up with friends for a quick bite and some drinks. read more

What a great find. Always wanted to try Chops Steak, but really wanted a smaller meal and wine. What we got was great wine, and awesome food. The chef let us change up menu items to our wishes, and we were very impressed. What a delight for the pallett. None of the customization cost us a penny more, and even with dessert, didn't break the bank. We will be back with friends, or on other nights just the two of us. Being 40 minutes away, we try to get to new restaurants when in town, but I am sure some of those will have to wait since we will come back here first. read more

We love The Wine Bar but have recently noticed a change in the quality of the food. We had the fish tacos that were beautiful to look at but there was no flavor and the ramen noodles that were also flavorless. The best part of the meal was the sticky toffee cake.
