Noel and Angie helped give me recommendations for party placement, appetizer suggestions and helping get our party setup for my beautiful wife. We had two servers who did an amazing job, helping with taking all orders, coordinating the champagne toast and cutting her birthday cake. We started with the hot honey chicken -- flavorful with just the right level of heat -- followed by French onion soup that wasn't overloaded with cheese, letting the broth shine. Fresh jalapeño cheddar loaf and sourdough were brought to the table before the meal and were both excellent. The star of the night was the porterhouse, cooked perfectly and topped with a Gouda bacon scallion butter that delivered one of the best flavor pops I've ever had on a steak. This steak now holds my #1 spot in Fort Wayne. The sides were also well executed and complemented the meal nicely. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, but timing felt off. Cocktails took longer than expected and there were noticeable gaps between courses, which made the experience feel rushed. Atmosphere is attractive with a rustic industrial vibe. It's been a while since we have been to Club Soda. We loved the outside patio in a warm summer evening...not to mention special occasions. Tonight was our wedding anniversary so we picked Club Soda to celebrate. You can NEVER go wrong here!! So interesting changes for you prior customers. The entrance has been moved to the front of the building. The lovely side patio is gone! The parking in the back is gone! CS has two parking lots across the street which is a welcome change. Making in line reservations is easy! The host and waitress teams are professional and welcoming. All work together to make sure tu are well served!! We were seated in the bar area. The seats were comfortable. The table service was lovely. The tables were positioned a bit tight. We had to get the waitress to move things around to make things a bit more comfortable. The bar area is where the entertainment is located. This room gets loud when the music gets going. This can be uncomfortable at times. The drinks are creative and delicious. My wife had the Black Berry Margarita and I had the Impeachment. Both were very refreshing and delicious. The Margarita had a fantastic berry flavor. The Impeachment has a tasty peach & cucumber flavor. The table bread was innovative - corn & jalapeño. The bread was warm, fresh and moist. There are small corn pieces and a slight jalapeño pop! My wife's watermelon & tomato salad was delicious. The sweet and refreshingness of the watermelon really blends well with the tomato and salad leafs. My house salad was fresh and attractive. The white vinaigrette dressing was light. The oil base really brought out the leafy tastes. My wife loved the walleye and risotto. No walleye fingers in the entree - just the real filets. I had the 18 oz bone-in ribeye. The steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. The red wine sauce was a great accent to the meat. The baked potato was large and salty. Tonight was our anniversary. We have the worst meal in the history of worst meals. We started with the pork belly..it was unevenly cooked and was very dry and overly salty. The service was OK....the server just kept bringing utensils and not swaping out with new...the table became overly crowded. Ordered a steak and it was not prepared to order....it was overcooked...lacked seasoning...red wine Demi-Glazed was very thick and bland. For the price the food and service was hughly underwhelming. After passing this place a million times, I finally popped in for dinner and was lucky enough to get a spot on the patio upstairs on a Friday night. We started with the ring of fire appetizer, similar to bang bang shrimp, but better! After inhaling the shrimp, we ordered the Ahi sashimi appetizer and the daily special - a filet with scallops, sautéed veggies, and cheesy grits. Everything was cooked perfectly and you could tell the ahi was fresh. Even our server was awesome! Our server was extremely energetic and helpful. We sat in the bar atea, which is cozy, with smaller tables. I had the FrenxhFrenched Pork Chop with Lyonaisse Potatoes and my companion had the Filet with loaded baked potato. We shared My food had great flavor- just a little more well done than I would prefer, but still very good. The complementary bread was also very good. If you go, plan to be there at least 2 hours-at least that's how long it took for us to get our complete meals. Not a complaint, just an observation. Perfect date night. Jazz music with a modern twist played just at the right level so you can communicate with your date (in my case wife). Service was fantastic Chaz was an absolute rockstar. Drinks always filled plates dropped off and picked up timely drinks from bar tastefully made not over powering with tons of flavor.
