Lunch specials are nothing more than a disappointing value based meal hidden under rice to make the appearance of a good deal. Mongolian beef lunch special shown here contained (6) small pieces of beef with tons of rice and veggies hardly qualifying as Mongolian beef in my opinion. After being less than satisfied I called to speak with owner and was met by unwilling staff to facilitate my phone call. Apparently customer service is not high on priority list. Not sure if it was only today but I ordered Kung Pao Chicken- pretty simple basic fast food Chinese dish. I was pretty disappointed as the chicken was fried and pretty stale. Not sure if Cantonese style Kung Pao chix consists of fried chicken pieces with little sauce but I simply had to throw away after a couple bites. Btw- I had the lunch special. Hey Ive been In a rehab facility for the past six weeks after surgery on on left ankle. About two weeks in covid19 and was down and out. Just found out after testing that Im no longer covid positive. Chopsticks menu provided me with a great way to Celebrate.! Their String bean in beef was great and they let me add shrimp and cashews to the dish. The egg roll and hot and sour soup tasted awesome. They even called me while cooking the food to ask if I want the shrimp cooked in the dish. That to me was a great example of customer service and concern. I've had Chopstick food multiple times, each time I find myself repulsed by the fish flavor in everything I have eaten there. When you don't like the taste of fish and the fish taste is pervasive, it's a no go for me. They must use the same wok for everything? Last time I ordered from there (for my mom) it was online. When I showed up they didn't even know my order existed, I had to sit there and wait for the order to be filled. If it wasn't for my mom I would have walked out. So I'd give the service a -10 for that incident alone. read more

For fast food Chinese this place was great. The wait was short, food was hot, and the portions were huge. It was impossible to eat the entire lunch portion. I stopped here for a quick lunch. Overall I don't see much of a difference between this chinese restaurant and all the others located in a strip mall. The restaurant itself is small. There are only 3 tables and a few chairs. The mongolian beef I had was pretty good though. The portions are huge, so come here with a big appetite. The prices are pretty low for the amount of food you get. Also if you order the lunch special you do get an egg roll and a drink. This restaurant is not a drastic change from the other hundreds of chinese restaurants in the chicagoland area, but if you're coming in for lunch and want a lot of decent chinese food for a cheap price then this is the place to go. read more

I have been consistently going to Chopstick for a few years now. If you have ever had their General Tso Chicken lunch combo then you already know that it's THE BEST. The Crab Rangoon's are made by hand and top notch! The refreshing beverages are so cold that they're nearly frozen. Love the value as much as the food too. If you have yet to try their food services out, then I recommend that you do. Seriously you will not be disappointed. Love their friendly customer service. I've come here for Chinese food for a few years now. The lunch and dinner specials are a great deal. I usually get the Mongolian Beef and Orange Chicken, with the beef being my favorite. The food is good for the price. I don't think you'll be blown away. My experience at Chinese restaurants is that they generally do some dishes well and other dishes are okay. Nice little family-owned Chinese restaurant that's the go-to place . Very small and casual seating area. Order at the counter and they bring you the food on a tray in carry-out containers, which I'm guessing is the mainstay of their business. One of their two doors is screened, which makes for a nice, breezy dining experience if you eat in. they give really huge portions. If you get a lunch special, you very well may end with two meals for a great price. I'll keep going back! read more

Okay, so I tried Chopstick as a later-evening dinner with my friends. I ordered the classic General Tso's chicken while my friends got the Mongolian Three Delight and Lucky 7. The General Tso's could have been good, the sauce was really nice, but the chicken was really overcooked and almost jerky-like. It's hard to describe what this is like, unless you've kept Chinese delivery in your fridge uncovered for a few days and re-heated it in the microwave. That is what this chicken was like. It was tough, stringy, and half of it was really inedible. My friends enjoyed their meals (that's why the get the 2 stars), but they had to eat around the shrimp (also heavily over cooked). I've had much better chinese in the AH area, I'd suggest Canton House if you want delivery, I've found their food is better prepared and cheaper, while their delivery is free (compared to a $3 fee here). TL;DR Bad chicken, bad shrimp, over-priced. You can do better. read more

First time, ordered online, Kung Pao chicken lunch special. Did not get the can of pop that's advertised. Man at the register seemed more interested in what was on his iPhone at the time then assisting me with my order. The fried rice was disappointing: Lots of rice with a few drops of soy sauce and a half teaspoon of green onions and half a dozen bean sprouts. Slightly chewy, maybe undercooked. The Kung Pao chicken was also disappointing. While there was a good mix of chicken and vegetables, and the chicken was not overcooked, the sauce was very lacking and not spicy. It really just tasted like it was stir-fried in soy sauce and very little else. There wasn't any sauce to speak of. Two dried chili peppers looked out of place as the entire dish did not have any heat whatsoever. The egg roll was pretty good. Pork, shrimp and vegetables, no overpowering spice, and not greasy. This place is a bargain! Very reasonably priced! There are typically great coupons in the menu. This place has exceptionally fast service. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for anything (typically only about 10 minutes after placing an order). They gave me a free coke today for no reason! They are super nice here! Beware. Incredibly unhelpful, dismissive and rude. Disclaimer...have ordered from them many times before with ZERO problems. Tonight went to their web sight and prepaid $25 for a delivery online by credit card (text verification code confirmation, plus $3.00 delivery and $6.00 tip), as well as email receipt of order (placed at 7:00 pm to be delivered 7:55...which seems abit long as the place is located only two miles away but hey, every one gets busy sometimes on a Thurs night). By 8:30 still no food, so nicely contacted the restaurant via the number on the receipt...only to be yelled at by both owner and his wife that I must have 'made a mistake, because they never got my order'. Wouldn't take the confirmation number, said my phone number didn't come up in their system and they refused to believe I had used their web sight to place my order. Provided absolutely no assistance or information as to how to get a refund. It's been along time since I've been treated with such a complete lack of respect. Saw this place driving by and then got an ad in the paper. We ordered a variety of dinners. Prices are reasonable, but the flavor was ehh. Nothing we had was amazing, but nothing was disgusting. Well.. The egg rolls were a little odd tasting and basically all cabbage. The most disappointing meal we had from here was the orange beef. It had such a strong citrus flavor that it overpowered the dish. I can't say i'd recommend it to anyone, but I also couldn't give it less than 2 stars because some stuff was good. It is rare to find a Chinese restaurant that does not saturate the food in MSG. I was happy to discover that they do not cook with it at all. The service on the phone was friendly, they delivered our order fast and hot and the food was really yummy. I like flavorful food rather than bland and mild. The Kung Pao was spicy with a good variety of crunchy and fresh vegetables. The Mongolian Beef was a great mix of sweet and mildly spicy. I also enjoyed the potstickers and fried rice. We've often enjoyed takeout for our family, and yesterday was the first time we ordered enough for a large group. Our guests were utterly delighted by everything, especially the crab rangoon, Mongolian beef, and chicken almond ding. It was VERY easy to order from the online menu, and the large order was ready when we arrived to pick it up. For our group, we ordered 3 appetizer pieces per person (egg rolls are big enough to cut in half), and entree portions equal to 2/3 the number of guests. Our bill came to $10/person, though our entrees were high end. Very satisfied guests. A little of every entree and lots of rice left over. Just moved into town and was on the lookout for a new Chinese restaurant. Heard this was listed as the best in Rolling Meadows and had to give it a try. They have delicious Egg Rolls. I have liked what I have gotten from here on multiple occasions but I can't say it's the best I ever had. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I placed an order with Grubhub for them last night. I live 2? miles from them. When my order got here, the food was lukewarm at best. My fried wonton were so greasy, I had to blot them first. My chicken noodle soup was almost all broth, very little noodles. I ordered extra beef in my beef with vegetables, and, there didn't seem to be any extra beef at all. I contacted Grubhub because I couldn't get in touch with the restaurant last night. Grubhub called them a little while ago and told them I was making up the story, that customers always lie, and, "that I didn't know what I was talking about because I was more than 70 years old". I am nowhere near 70, and, even if I was, why would that matter? Please, do yourself a favor, stay as far away from this place as you can possibly get, don't waste your money! read more
