Been looking for decent egg rolls and fried rice...found them! Also got some great Crab Rangoon, ate my order in the car ride home.

Ugh! I hate leaving negative reviews. I also hate that people know a place is bad and won't tell you. I ordered via phone because Uber fees were very high. The order was correct. The food was hot. Unfortunately, when I arrived I waited for a while the staff discussed something in Chinese. It's a glass window and I was visible but not acknowledged. I ordered crab Rangoon. It was tasty. I ordered hot and sour soup. Also tasty, but not spicy. The crunchy toppings that came with it were stale. I ordered Mongolian chicken for my husband and he called it onion soup and said there was no meat. I ordered Kung Pap Tofu, there was no spice and it was the driest food I've ever eaten. Perhaps this is due to the protein being tofu. Not my fault, they need to alter the liquid ratio for this dish. It was not edible. I ordered combination fried rice. It was just, okay. The beef had a strange texture like Salisbury steak so I'm not sure what that was. I would not order from here again.

This place is pretty good - my parents have gotten it a few times, it's honestly a hit or miss. Sometimes the dishes are delicious and sometimes they're just mediocre at best. I recommend their egg rolls, sesame chicken, and beef with broccoli! Also, it's so worth it just to get a large, don't even bother with the small size. It's a few bucks more for the large and it's significantly bigger. Overall I do recommend Chopstick for some affordable Chinese food!!

There were a number of her high school friends along w/her daughters that hosted the event. When we arrived the restaurant parking lot was completely full. Both the service and quality of food has gone way down from what they were famous for. The waitress spilled my tea, also dipped her finger in my tea, had no apology or offer to exchange it with a fresh cup. I had to ask her for a fresh cup of tea. Then the other server that brought our entrees spilled my husbands tea and again no offering to getting a fresh cup. We had to ask AGAIN for a fresh cup! While the portions were generous, the quality of all the food has gone way down. The special family recipe of thier shrimp dish Gan Pong is nothing but fried shrimp with dried chili peppers and no flavor. The Hunan spicy beef and chicken appeared to be all globs and sticky because of excessive and over use of corn starch used during the cooking process. This dish didn't have any unique flavor that one would expect. Previously we had experienced a difference in the food, taste and quality and that's what kept us returning. Sadly, after this experience I wouldn't recommend it to anyone or come back! I'd rather stick with Yu's Mandarin than drive to this place! Quality always wins over quantity in my books!

It's been a tough lately since our go to place changed ownership and the quality declined. Hong Kong Restaurant is a small, family owned restaurant in the same strip mall as the Ace Hardware. It's a take out only restaurant, no tables and no seating. The lady is so nice. I called ahead asking how her General Tso's was made with brown sauce or if it was an orange type of sauce. She gave me a good description and mentioning it had some spice to it, but not offensive. It was exactly what my husband wanted. It wasn't overly breaded and the sauce was sweeter, savory with a little heat. He was a happy man. The fried rice had plenty of chicken and cooked well. The portions were huge! I also ordered beef and broccoli Cantonese chow mein. This was delicious! There was so much beef and broccoli, the sauce wasn't salty and went perfect with the chow mein noodles. We ordered egg rolls and crab rangoons too. Both we were good. The wrapper was a little thicker than I prefer, but they were both good. I'm looking forward to trying other dishes on their menu like their egg foo yung. No pics ... hungry teenaged boys dove into the food right away.

For several years now, we have been looking for a new Chinese food place , since our favorite place (South China) closed. I have tried several other places, but we have not been very happy with the food. Last night we had the BBQ pork egg foo young and kung pao beef. Both dishes were tasty. We also ordered some Pot Stickers, which were tasty but were HUGE and the dough, I felt , was too thick. This might be just a personal preference. Overall I thought it was a great experience. The food portions were large and the cost was in line with what you would expect. The food was ready on time and was piping hot. I will definitely be coming back to Hong Kong Restaurant.

The restaurant is decorated so nicely and thematically. The roof looks authentic and the there is a pond and waterfall inside the front door. My favorite was the honey walnut shrimp. It came out of the kitchen fast and tasted great. I recommend Sun Shui Restaurant.

Turns out, the only thing that got better was my ability to ignore red flags. The food can be good--sometimes even genuinely tasty--but it's like playing culinary roulette. The same dish never tastes the same twice. It often feels like they just grab whatever ingredients are lying around, toss in some meat, and hope for the best. If you like consistency, you'll find yourself missing other restaurants while you're still sitting in this one. The service is a mood swing. A couple of servers are warm and hospitable, and I appreciate them. But others are rushed, cold, and oddly entitled about tips. I've had the bill slapped down while I'm mid-bite and plates whisked away before I'm done eating. I absolutely believe in tipping well for good service--but dropping food, not refilling drinks, barely checking in, and then hovering for a big tip isn't service; it's pressure with a fake smile. And then there's the rice. I never thought I'd have serious feelings about rice bowls, but here we are. They serve rice in tiny, kid-sized bowls like it's some rare limited-edition collectible. You're expected to stretch that little scoop across a full entrée. For what they charge, it sends a pretty clear message: generosity is not part of the business model. The final straw--and the reason I'm writing this--was my last visit. Shortly after eating there, I ended up with nasty stomach issues and two days of terrible diarrhea. I can't see what happens in the kitchen, but I can connect timing. Once I lose trust in a restaurant's hygiene, it's over. I've only given that "never again" label to one other place in my life. Yu's just earned the second spot. If you're reading this before going, imagine your future self looking back and saying, "Why did I ignore that review?" There are plenty of places where the food is consistent, the staff doesn't rush you or guilt-trip you for tips, rice isn't treated like gold, and you don't spend the next 48 hours regretting your decision. After five years of giving Yu's Mandarin chance after chance, I'm done. If you value your money, time, and stomach, you might want to skip the experiment altogether.
