Then the other server that brought our entrees spilled my husbands tea and again no offering to getting a fresh cup. We had to ask AGAIN for a fresh cup! While the portions were generous, the quality of all the food has gone way down. The special family recipe of thier shrimp dish Gan Pong is nothing but fried shrimp with dried chili peppers and no flavor. The Hunan spicy beef and chicken appeared to be all globs and sticky because of excessive and over use of corn starch used during the cooking process. This dish didn't have any unique flavor that one would expect. Previously we had experienced a difference in the food, taste and quality and that's what kept us returning. Sadly, after this experience I wouldn't recommend it to anyone or come back! I'd rather stick with Yu's Mandarin than drive to this place! Quality always wins over quantity in my books!

To clear things up about their dining area, they have 2 small tables outside and 1 small and 2 big tables inside. Small tables - 2 chairs. Big tables - 4 chairs. On weekdays, you don't need to make a reservation. On the weekends due to their limited dine in area, I would recommend a reservation to be safe. You can make a reservation through Google/Yelp or phone call. Parking is easy since it's in a strip mall. There is also a 3% charge if you use plastic. Just a note, I tried looking at their food pictures on their website, but it kind of runs slow. Sometimes it would freeze. I think they need to fix it. I would return here to try other items. I would highly recommend ordering off their Malaysian menu instead of the miscellaneous. Don't order orange chicken or General Tao's chicken. Very cringe because you can get that literally anywhere. Get the Malaysian food because it's hard to find in Illinois. The owner is very sweet and the service is attentive. I liked the big pieces of shrimp, an adequate amount of sliced pork and hard boiled egg. The broth is still very good. If it's your first time having this, I still recommend it. -kuih talam 5 - I would suggest this if you like pandan. It's not sweet. It has a soft and bouncy texture.

It's in the small details when they overstuffed our seafood fried rice container ($11), accommodated that I wanted it without soy sauce (I've been on a fried rice kick sans soy sauce lately - it's less sodium and I feel like I could taste ingredients better). I really enjoyed the seafood fried rice. It had calamari, imitation crab meat, shrimp, and onions. It was a perfect blend without too much salt or oil, and to top it of-- the rice was soft. I really dislike it when Asian restaurants make hard rice, or let the rice it too long because you can always tell when the rice is getting stale. My hubby was craving Garlic chicken ( small size for $8). We were quite hungry so we had already began eating before I realized I didn't take pictures of the rest of the food. By the time I took a photo the garlic chicken has already been half eaten. I liked that it had a little zing to it with chili peppers flakes, and has a little sweetness to it which goes perfectly on top of white rice. We only wish that they gave us two servings of it versus one because I quickly ate 2/3 of the small sauce container for my eggroll and he wasn't too happy. Lastly, we had the hot and sour soup (large size $6). The ingredient were fine, but I have to say it was too salty and missed a mark on the sour. Finding the right balance makes the sauce for me. I judge a lot of places by their soups. This one was close but I have to take off a star for that. Overall, this was a satisfying meal and it didn't break the bank. We will be back to try more dishes. I saw that on their menu, they have seafood boil, and I'll be interested in checking that out in the future. I also need to remember to take more pictures of food before my hunger sets in.
