    Beef Chow Mein
    Cary W.

They have not updated their prices or pictures of food here. I ordered the General Tso chicken and beef chow mein over the phone for takeout. The cost should have come out to $28 with two orders of egg rolls. When I ordered they said that they no longer had small size which was ok I guess but when I picked up my food the cost came out to be $45.39. There no way that a larger size costs that much and they don't have a website to check prices, just the menu posted on here. The food came out subpar from the pictures and this was very overpriced. I will not be ordering again and was disappointed in the service which felt like a bait and switch from what was presented here on Yelp.

A hole in the wall for some traditional Americanized Chinese food. I came here for the egg rolls and Wu did not disappoint. Egg rolls were nice and crispy on the outside, pork, cabbage, perfect flavor combo for the inside. I also got the chicken fried rice, top notch! Great price, the food did not disappoint. Will definitely be coming back.

Hong Kong is the typical take out only Chinese place with good solid food that is getting somewhat hard to find these days. The person at the counter was very nice, made ordering a pleasure. They really stuff a large portion of food into the containers- a "small" order is really two meals for the average person. The only negative I can think of is that they do not have a lighted sign- I had been to this plaza several times and never noticed that they were even there. It's a pity because I would think a lighted sign might just get them more business. Well worth trying if you have a taste for Chinese take out.

General Tso's Chicken and fried rice

My husband and I ordered takeout from here for the first time and we enjoyed our food! The General Tso's Chicken was very crispy and flavorful! I also enjoyed their fried rice. Many places make their fried rice too greasy and too "eggy" but theirs was not those things at all. Their hot oil was also enjoyable, can't wait to go back.

This is chicken satay. Not what we expected but there is a chicken there with a bland brown sauce.

So we ordered shrimp in garlic sauce and a satay chicken. Also crab Rangoon. The woman behind the counter is very sweet but food is meh.

Their chicken and beef lo mein are the best that I ever eat

Since China Kitchen has closed we tried Hong Kong. Overpriced and not very tasty. The egg rolls were crispy which we like but no taste.

Both the service and quality of food has gone way down from what they were famous for. The waitress spilled my tea, also dipped her finger in my tea, had no apology or offer to exchange it with a fresh cup. I had to ask her for a fresh cup of tea. Then the other server that brought our entrees spilled my husbands tea and again no offering to getting a fresh cup. We had to ask AGAIN for a fresh cup! While the portions were generous, the quality of all the food has gone way down. The special family recipe of thier shrimp dish Gan Pong is nothing but fried shrimp with dried chili peppers and no flavor. The Hunan spicy beef and chicken appeared to be all globs and sticky because of excessive and over use of corn starch used during the cooking process. This dish didn't have any unique flavor that one would expect. Previously we had experienced a difference in the food, taste and quality and that's what kept us returning. Sadly, after this experience I wouldn't recommend it to anyone or come back! I'd rather stick with Yu's Mandarin than drive to this place! Quality always wins over quantity in my books!

I ordered enough for two, which means I would have something for the next two meals. The restaurant has been around for a while, and it is a stand alone building. The menu, like what you will find in Malaysia - a mixed of Chinese, Malay, and Indian. The service is always prompt. Here's what I ordered: 1) Roti Canai served with Malaysian chicken curry - the curry is unlike Indian curry. This is a typical Malaysian style curry. You take a piece of the crispy yet a little chewy pan fried dough and dipped in this curry broth. That combination will kick off your appetite. 2) Seafood and Tofu clay pot - a mix of fish fillet, squid, shrimp, vegetables and homemade tofu served in a clay pot. The tofu is delicious - crispy outside with soft and silky center - chef's kiss! 3) String bean mixed with balacan - balacan is a Malaysian sambal sauce made with shrimp paste and chili. It has this savory, sweet and lightly spicy flavor mixed with crispy string beans. It was a delightful dinner! There are many other dishes that I'll come back for, especially other dishes with their homemade tofu.

I live in Chicago, but I've gone here several times to buy Chinese food for my parents who live about a mile away. Inside, there are a few chairs, and maybe a table. The kitchen and where you order is behind a counter and glass wall. There is nothing fancy about it, but Chopstick is meant to be a carry-out restaurant, so it's not a problem. They prefer cash but will take a credit card and charge 3-percent extra. That said, the entrees are bargain-priced and are served in generous portions. I recently ordered food for myself and a neighbor on a busy Father's Day. I did not order ahead, but it only took 15 minutes to prepare my order. I requested no MSG, and I was told that they do not use any--so that's a big plus for anyone who wants to avoid it. They have all the usual Chinese-American favorites, including their house special that has shrimp, chicken and beef. But the ingredients they use are fresh and high-quality--and that sets them apart from most carry-out restaurants of this type. My only complaint was that of my two orders, they mixed up the entrees--my neighbor was supposed to get the house special, and my husband was supposed to get the chicken and vegetable dish. But even though the entrees were mixed up, everyone was happy with what they received. If I lived closer, Chopsticks (cute name) would be my go-to Chinese-American restaurant. On my recent first visit, I found the restaurant to be inviting and having a nice ambiance. It was clean and well lit. My party and I had a late dinner. We received good service. We were seated promptly upon arrival. We were served water right away. One of the staff members informed us to scan a QR code to get the menu of the restaurant and place our order from our mobile device directly. We ordered South Indian dishes such as dosas and uttapam. Dosas, for those who may not be familiar, are like savory crepes made from rice batter and uttapam are like savory pancakes made from rice and urad dal (an Indian grain) batter. The uttapams my party ordered were of the onion and chilies kind and came with dipping sides of sambar (lentil and veggie stew) and three chutneys (coconut, peanut, and one other kind that I can't remember). The dosas also came with the same sides. My order was different from the others. I ordered Madurai Kitchen's special dosa made with minced mutton (goat) in spices. I was expecting a traditional dosa with mutton stuffed inside, but no. This dish looked like thick uttapam but smelled like dosa, and it came with a side of curry dal as a dipping side instead of sambar and chutneys. I inquired about it, and one of the staff members said that that's how it served. Strange but cool, I guess. I found my dish to be okay in taste. It lacked a bit of salt, and the flavor wasn't quite what I had expected. I had thought that it would be spicy, but it wasn't. I used the chutneys from other members of my party's dishes for an enhanced tasting experience. The rest of the folks in my party liked their dishes a lot. Their dishes were good. Overall, we had a good experience. The menu pricing is on the expensive side (more than I expected), but the food quality and service were good. If you like South Indian food, then this restaurant is definitely worth checking out. I will be going back to try other menu items.
