It's another Friday and it's the what's for dinner question my wife will pickup and we've been getting to go orders since Covid was a thing so why not. This restaurant is your typical Chinese restaurant in that it has large menu and it's also kinda Americanized but it's still decent but the thing for me is they advertise no MSG because some of the other places in the area do and sometimes it's too much for me. We always phone ahead and it's a short wait if any when we arrive to be honest we haven't had a sit down meal here but it looks clean standard decor. The parking lot is kinda small though. Tonight I ordered the Garlic Chicken Wings and the Salt and Pepper Squid "Dinner Size". I had both before the wings are Hugh compared to most other chicken wings I've had at other restaurants Chinese or other that's one of the reasons I get them all of the time they are garlicky and deep fried while still being moist. The Salt and Pepper Squid is also a favorite it's got a good sized portion you get carrots, onions and green peppers the squid is large deep fried batter dipped strips with a red pepper flakes sprinkled generously throughout the portion it makes it spicy but not too hot. All in all if you're looking for for a solid meal there's a lot to choose from I'm sure you'll find something that you will enjoy. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED Ordered our food to pick up, they forgot half of our order. Inconvenient but no big deal, they called us and let us know. Then said that we needed to look at the food we had to make sure. We explained that we were 10-15 away and were on the highway. Then we were told we needed to check our order WHILE WE WERE DRIVING and were upset that we were not going to pull over on the highway to check our order for them. They said that they would check our order and call us back. They called as we were bringing things into the house and we promptly called them when we saw the missed call right after we set the food down. The worst part is that they called us about 8:40 we called them right back at 8:41 to try and sort this out and when we called the woman who answered said "we close at 9" BEFORE WE COULD EVEN SAY ANYTHING AND HUNG UP ON US. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. NEVER EVEN RESOLVED THE FACT THAT THEY SHORTED US ON OUR FOOD AND WOULD NOT EVEN TRY TO MAKE IT RIGHT. In my opinion they just stole half of the price of our order. Floor was slippery like it hadn't been cleaned sinve the 80s. Service was mediocre at best and it goes downhill from there. Food was downright bad. Egg roll was greasy and bland. Fried shrimp was worst breading I've ever eaten. Same breading on chicken. Mongolian beef had this nasty sauce that tasted like it came straight from a can. Such a disappointment. when I called to inform them of the problem, I listened to a loud discussion in Chinese with someone else and was then told I had to take it up with Door Dash. Not even an apology from them. This was when I was giving them a second chance after a bad experience a few years ago. Door Dash was great about a refund but save your time and money. My wife and I met a couple friends here for dinner. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Tabs were easily split. As we pulled up there were several people standing outside smoking rather than in a dedicated smoking area. Nasty. We opted to sit in the lounge rather than the restaurant. The lounge was packed and extremely loud. There is a solo pool table in the lounge for those interested in playing. Several TV's are mounted for viewing pleasure. My wife ordered a couple Screwdriver's for $4 each. I ordered a glass of house Cabernet (Sutter Home) for $4.25. My wife ordered the #1 Combo for $10.95: choice of soup (Hot & Sour, Egg Roll. BBQ Pork, Almond Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein and Pork Fried Rice. Portions were nice sized. My wife absolutely loved her dinner choice. She has talked about it several times since. I ordered the Curry Chicken for $9.95: chicken green peppers, onions, mushrooms and carrots in a yellow (Indian) curry. I requested 5 stars and was disappointed that my dish contained zero heat. Had I known the curry was yellow (Indian) I wouldn't have ordered. I like yellow curry when dining at Indian restaurants. It was a bit strange to be eating Indian tasting food in a Chinese restaurant. The portion was large and packed with fresh vegetables. Our server was friendly and efficient. Finally tried this place out. My husband and I can never find good Chinese like, Downtown LA China Town. But this place wasn't too bad. We got General Tso chicken, beef broccoli, house chow mein, and chicken fried rice. The chow mein lacked flavor in the noodle and the fried rice was okay but needed a bit more flavor and more frying I would say. I would definitely order from here again and maybe try a plain fried rice to see if the flavor changes. The prices are reasonable and the portions are good. Don't waste your time with this place. They gave me a 20 minute wait estimate, it ended up taking 45 minutes and they didn't even get my order right. Not to mention the meat was still cold. Tried it, didn't care for it. People are nice, food was on time, 1 appetizer & 3 dishes, $50. Lots of food, probably enough to feed 6! Food was just ok. Broccoli beef - broccoli was good, house chow Metin was a lot of noodles, needed more veggies, kind of tasteless. Gen Tso chicken had way to much red dye in it, I would say it was my least favorite. We prefer this to the overly busy Lucky Dragon and the food and service has always been at least as good, if not better. We've dined inside several evenings and have been the only people there except for a pretty constant amount of take-out pick ups. The lounge seems to always be busy. It's in the front of the building but the restaurant has its own entrance on the side. We always order the entrees to share which leaves a lot of leftovers to take home. The coconut chicken fried rice tasted amazing! We also enjoyed the almond fried chicken, triple Kung poa, and triple chop suey (excuse spelling please). They had 2 nice Tvs so we were able to watch the Hawks first playoff game without being amongst the bar crowds. Yay! The guy that runs/owns? the place is friendly and attentive.
