Wonton soup. Tastes good, but for 3.50; more wonton plz!

The server was very nice, but I asked if there were bell peppers in the Kung pao, and he said yes. As you can see from the first picture, no bell peppers are in sight. When I asked about it, he talked to the chef and offered to add bell peppers at no extra cost, so I considered that fully acceptable as he mentioned he thought there was (also there are bell peppers in the menu photo). The flavor, however, was much too vinegar in my personal opinion, and there was too much water chestnut. Also kinda felt like for $3.50, the wonton soup was kind of small, but I guess that's food prices now. I would come back and try it again if they changed the sauce to have less vinegar.

My son's welcome home celebration. The food was delicious and they were able to accommodate 25 guests. They were also able to give the Grandparents and Godparents their own table. I wish I had taken photos of the dishes. My guests favorites were the salt and pepper fish, Peking duck, Beef chow fun and Vegetarian Chow Fun. Thank you so much GiGi and to your Mom as well.

After a movie date, my boyfriend told me about this restaurant he would frequently order from back when he lived in Kent. This was that restaurant and when he arrived, he was surprised but intrigued to see the interior was remodeled. When we went through the door, we were greeted and seated promptly by our waitress. She was very knowledgeable on their menu and friendly to us. We had ordered the pupu platter and two of their family dinner combo B. The pupu platter is so worth the money and experience. The coolest one I have ever seen with only delicious appetizers that shouldn't be missed on it. The crab rangoon, egg rolls, bbq pork and fried shrimp were my personally favorites! They also brought out extra egg rolls and cold bbq which I thought was neat. The waitress and cook(?) came over to tell us about their extra offering and talked with us a bit about how the owners have changed. I think they are in goos hands as the decor and atmosphere were pleasant, the service was wonderful and the food was amazing. They make their own hot chili oil, as well as most of what they have on the menu which is a great sign! The chow mein, fried rice, Mongolian beef (It is spicy-ish) and sweet and sour chicken were great. Also their wonton soup broth is to die for and I enjoyed their egg flower soup as well. My boyfriend told me that the sweet and sour was the same to his relief as that was his go to order for takeout. Although there a few places I'd love to visit in Kent, this little gem has a special place in my heart and I'll return when I am ever in the area.

Delicious food fresh ingredients and huge servings. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow!! The shrimp fried rice, Mongolian beef and crab appetizers were perfect. Clean place. Good parking.

Sans Woks did some things very well and other not as good, but as long as you stuck with the items you like, it was an overall solid spot. New owners took over about 18 months ago and I was excited, they claimed to keep the old recipes, while adding more items to the menu. On my first visit the portion was generous and the flavor was OK. The Hot and Sour was not the same, but I liked the Orange Chicken more. However, as I returned, portions got smaller, flavor got weaker and the chef ignored my requests for more heat and more seasoning. The last couple visits the food was flat out terrible and I now refuse to return. Unless they make significant changes, I don't see them remaining open. It's a slap in the face to the name, if you are not going to honor the original restaurant, CHANGE YOUR NAME.

Off of central in Kent closer to s 277th street. There was only one young person in the place with us. Two guys working the place. The owner who catered to us, and the cook. Not sure why I never heard of this place. Owner said they have been open for 3 years now. The food came out fast. We actually ordered too much we had it for three more meals at home. I think overall the food was good. Like I was telling the owner I normally drive to Canada to get Chinese food, or San Fran for dim sum. I'm pretty hard to please. But since I like to support local, I'll bring my friends here another time for lunch. The decor was minimal but nice. From the outside it looked like it was closed, and like it was a home or doctors office. It's right next to a bikini barista. So we missed it the first time. It's a brick building. The tea was really good. The perfect amount of Chinese leaves, and it was nice and hot for a cold blistery day even if it's almost spring.

But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC and in my apartment building. Seriously terrible chemical smell while you eat. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. Probably best dim sum in South King County. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area. But if I'm doing takeout, I might as well just go to Dim Sum House on Beacon Hill (much more reasonable prices and good quality).
