My take-out order: * boat noodles * green papaya salad * tofu pad thai * beef drunken noodles I ordered online and the process was simple, pick-up was easy. I made a note that peanuts must be separate due to a peanut allergy, and everything was packed and wrapped separately, nicely organized in the takeout bag which I appreciate. The food was freshly made and the ingredients were fresh. I would definitely come back to try their curries. They are located in a strip mall and there is plenty of parking out front. Happy to have heard about this place from friend. Located in the corner spot of a mini mall it's a bit hidden but a worthy find. Very casual spot where you seat yourself in the restaurant of about 9-10 tables. We were waiting on quickly and the food looked great once but came out . I ordered the mango chicken as I've never seen on menu before and was not disappointed. Crispy and saucy which is exactly how I like it . Sauce flavor was a delight and it came with white rice which i upgraded to fried rice . Hubby got crab pad Thai and he really enjoyed it. He was pleased that it was real crab as well. He did ask for chili as he likes to add spice to everything. The appetizer crab Rangoon was on point as well and then we finished with mango sticky rice . Got lunch at this Chinese restaurant in Aurora. It sure is a lot nicer than most of the other local Chinese options. Chopsticks Noodle & Thai Cafe is in an unassuming location in a strip mall. Here the major difference is it's not some order at the counter type of place. There's a pretty big menu of meaty and vegetarian friendly choices with varying levels of spiciness. A not quite fancy restaurant but better than the others around here with this type of cuisine. It's got enough room for plenty of booths and tables. The menu features a lot of the typical favorites like noodles, rice, and whatever. A lot of the entrees have a choice of protein. They of course have beef and chicken, but also tofu. It's about $12 for an entree. We got some of the choices for vegetarians. I got the Cashew Stir-Fried. This had carrots, onions, peas, peppers, and pineapple, and the choice of protein was tofu. Good spiciness without being burning ass hot. The rest of the menu has a pretty good variety of things. Certainly could get lunch from here again. It's located on Route 59 at Ogden. Definitely ordering from here again! I verred SLIGHTLY from my typical Thai order of beef panang curry and got the beef panang noodles. I know living the wild life! . I also ordered the cucumber salad. Both were perfect. The dressing for the salad was sweet but not overly so. Cucumber was fresh and cut in cute ridge shapes. I was really blown away by the noodles in the panang though. They were wide and thick and soft from the panang curry but had a few crispy bits. I asked for medium spice and again perfect. Wonderful Thai option in the Fox Valley area. We ordered Basil Chicken, Crab Pad Thai, Red & Green Curry Chicken, Vegetable Spring Rolls, and Chicken Satay. Our favorite was the Red Curry Chicken and Satay. Both of the curry dishes were flavorful and had nice aroma that went well with the Jasmine Rice. I was a little disappointed with the crab Pad Thai due to the crab meat was cooked in with too much scrambled egg. This really diluted the crab meat flavor in the dish. Restaurant layout upgraded within the last few years, the cashier area was expanded and moved towards the front. Atmosphere was good, all Thai staff was knowledgeable with all the menu. This is my family's go-to spot for Thai food in the Naperville/Aurora area ever since Covid. The service is always super quick and the food is always spot on. I have been coming here for years. However, I hadn't been here in a while. The food is still delicious, but I had to ask for a lunch specials menu. I noticed the waiter was not giving that menu to anyone that came in....so if they were unfamiliar with this business, the customer would not even know that offered a lower priced lunch special. I've had them bookmarked and so glad we visited for lunch. They have an egg roll check in offer for over $20 orders. They are great and crunchy. I went with the pepper steak. Very tender beef and went mild for the perfect level of heat. I ended up taking half home as it was a large serving. Sister is vegan and enjoyed the Roma noodle with tofu. We had a lovely experience here! I had the Pad Thai chicken & my friend had the Panang Curry chicken. Both dishes were wonderful! She loved hers & I loved mine. Some of the best pad Thai! There were carrots missing that I'm usually used to, but it was still delicious. The plate for lunch was mounded, probably the biggest portion I've had, which allowed for leftovers. The gentleman that seated us was kind. And explained favorites, etc. The ambiance was nice. A small place but plenty of tables for small & large groups to sit!!! OMG The food here is delicious, the Tom Yum soup is so flavorful and you can get it spicy if that's your style it certainly is mine, the pork with sticky is very good it will stick to your ribs :) I really like the cucumber salad it really has a nice sweet taste, if your in the area this is a must try, we love coming here. read more

Chopsticks was so good! We came here on a Saturday for an early dinner on our way back from the mall. We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. My husband and I had never been here before, although we have passed it multiple times. Saturday at like 5 was not busy at all. There was only one other table in the restaurant. It is rather small, so I'm sure it fills up quickly on busy days. Our server was very nice and prompt. For appetizers, we ordered the spring rolls. They were crisp, fresh, and delicious. The sweet and sour sauce was, of course, the perfect pairing. For my entree, I got the ginger catfish. It was amazing! The flavor was bold and slightly sweet with a sticky sauce. Even though the fish was breaded, you can tell there was fish. The veggies were crisp, yet tender and the rice was cooked well. My husband got the drunken noodles. I thought it would be too spicy (for me, he said it wasn't that spicy at all), so I didn't try any, but he did say he liked the flavor of the dish. There were other items on the menu that definitely looked like they were worth a try. Their menu seemed to have more than what you might find at other Chinese restaurants. I wanted to continue supporting our local small businesses, and needed to get out, so I ordered pad thai w/ tofu and pineapple/cashew fried rice w/ shrimp. They had an interesting set-up to account for current circumstances. The main entrance is closed, and customers have to pick up their orders from the secondary door. It's blocked off by a table so you can't actually step inside. There's a plastic shield attached to the table. They used USB cable extenders so you can insert your card and they can process payment from a distance, and there's no need for the customer to sign or touch anything. Nice job by the restaurant to make it a contact-less pick-up. Anyway, the food was very good overall. Portion sizes were generous. The fried rice had an interesting array of ingredients, such as raisins, bell peppers, and roasted cashews. It was a tad short on shrimp, but that's somewhat expected. I enjoyed the pad thai as well, but it did look a little plain (and my wife found it bland). It could have used more veggies to make the presentation more appealing, but it still tasted good to me. The crushed peanuts were a nice touch. I'm glad they included lime wedges in each entree because that helped enhance the flavor. Overall, very satisfied. read more

I'm assuming it's new owners. ‍ Today we were served Panang Curry as thick as paste, zero levels of flavor, pad Thai with dried out minuscule tofu and no carrots. They have lost every ounce of creativity and genuine Thai flavor. Do you even have palm sugar or fish sauce in the kitchen. Let alone coconut milk. I'm a Chef and I have to call it the way it is some times. Sorry I won't even go into what they have done to their interior. Just a weird inside now. Not sure what they did. read more

We always liked this place and ordered from here. Tofay I placed an order and picked up. By the time I got home, there was half of my ordered soup in the bottom of the order bag and in the car. Upon opening I saw the soup containers were stacked in the middle and other heavier food on the top. The container cracked and half of the soup spilled in the bag and in the car. 4 stars for food. The last time I had the opportunity to visit this delightful little restaurant was a couple of years ago. I recalled that they had a luncheon special menu with a nice selection of traditional Thai offerings at reasonable pricing. I am very pleased to say that they still do. Much like many of the other restaurants during the pandemic they still rely heavily on take out and delivery and not as much on dine in trade. The food I ordered was for dine in and was every bit as delicious and fresh as I had remembered. The service was both quick and cordial. My favorite menu items right now are the cashew chicken, pad Thai, pork with sticky rice, cucumber salad, crab Rangoon, and spring rolls. The food always tastes fresh, the portions are plentiful (I easily get two meals out of every one), and everything is always packaged with care (I've mostly ordered out). Three stars doesn't look like much but it's a solid three. The food was decent enough, the servers friendly, and the atmosphere clean and nice. If I were in the area again and my friend said "I want some Thai, let's go to Chopsticks" I'd be perfectly okay with that. I have no need to stay away - it wasn't bad! The problem comes with the food itself. It lacked depth. I tried my main dish (Basil Stir Fry) and my wife's (Pas See Ew), as well as our appetizers and my Tom Kha soup. Everything tasted pleasant enough but it didn't have the dimensions I've come to expect from Thai food. It was decent enough but lacked a deeper flavor profile, as though in need of some extra fish sauce or something to give it a more meaningful umami flavor. The Basil Stir Fry, marked on the menu as the only thing I saw with three chili peppers, had barely any spice to it, though what it did have was the pleasant kind that builds up from the beginning. It just never built up to anything serious. This is our second time having gone. The first time was take out and didn't work out well since the noodles basically steamed on the way home. That's not their fault and I didn't review them then but now I'd just say that this place is a perfectly nice lunch and I'll probably be back but I won't go out of my way to have them again. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! The meat smells like a dog we couldnt even eat it. Me and my boyfriend ordered 3 meals and immediately noticed the stench and taste of the weirdly textured chicken. The waitress kept trying to sell us more food and we left with barely touching our food. Paid $63 because they wouldn't refund us after we got super sick. I think I may need to give this place another try at some point, but not anytime soon. Not that it's not good, it's just one of those places that wasn't great. Therefore, I'm borderlining between 3 to 4 stars. Yelp doesn't have a .5 point system to please read my review with this in mind. Total score: 3.5 stars. Service-wise and attention from the staff: very good! I would say 4.5 stars on this one. Our waitress came back often to check on us and refill our water so many times. I was thirsty that night and drank about 4 glasses of water! Don't worry, we made sure at the end of the night to give her a generous tip. On top of that the manager lady (I think, unless she is just a very, very, very friendly passerby) kept coming over to our table, maybe 3 times total to ask if we are doing alright. She also asked the tables next to us too, so I know that it wasn't because she recognized our famous* faces as Yelp Elites (hah!) Food-wise is where I have to take it down a notch and give 3.5 to 4 stars. As I said, I think I do need to come back here another time, try some other dishes and write an update to see how I feel. Maybe it's because Thai food is one of my favorite foods so I'm a bit more of critic here. To be honest, it's really hard for most Thai place to get a perfect score from me. I think this place comes close to being "I'm a fan" but isn't quite there as far as their dishes (which is where the weight of my score is.) I had gotten the Thai Basil Fried Rice with Chicken. My 2 other girlfriends got the Pad Thai and Pad See Ewe, all popular dishes. We also got appetizer of egg rolls (called spring roll for some reason). Nothing stood out as being too special with the appetizers. Overall, with the entrees, they were all... kind of quite bland., like 'meh if you know what I mean. Especially if you're a fan of the noodle dishes, I think you will be disappointed. They really could have used a bit more salt and sugar. Oh, but maybe this is good and healthy so who am I to say? Or you could go home and re-cook the dishes to your liking. Haha. Anyways, I had enough leftovers of my fried rice to feed me for 2 more lunch days at work. Though, when I took it home, I realized that I didn't really see much chicken in my chicken fried rice at all! It was mostly rice. *pouts* So while I think their protein are a bit skimpy here, their portions are big and their ingredients are fresh! I wouldn't discourage you from trying this place, it's not bad! It's just not quite the authentic Thai I was looking for to satisfy my cravings.
