We ordered just after 3 o'clock and they did not give us the lunch special which apparently ends at 3pm, but it was 3:06 so that seemed a little bit silly practice for an empty restaurant, but it was after 3 so I get it. The sushi was very dry. I got the shrimp tempura, the sweet potato tempura, and the mango shrimp tempura... and I think that's the first time I didn't finish my sushi or take it home because it was just not that great. The shrimp tempura roll was literally just shrimp tempura wrapped in rice and seaweed with some eel sauce. The mango shrimp tempura was the same thing but with mango on top. Multiple people recommended fusion so had to check it out myself. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! We were happy with every item we ordered ( garlic edamame, chicken dumplings, Singapore noodles and multiple sushi rolls). I was so excited that they had a special vegetarian roll ( the sunset) in addition to the usual vegetarian rolls. All is well until we walk through the door.. As we were finally greeted to our table, my friend was pushed out of the way by one of the servers and told to move. It was pretty unfortunate because we were hoping to give fusion another shot. There's been multiple occurrences where we have been severely messed up and having to be busted up over the chair. The pork fried rice that I had ordered had raging raw pieces that looks like lobster tail. The second we were done eating, the hostess came over to us and rushed us out. Loved the food here! I feel compared to other locations, the filling in the sushi is pretty plentiful and not just rice with a little bit of filling. Noodle dishes are pretty good too. The variety of food in this place might be unmatched. They have everything from Japanese to Chinese to American. I will say that low-key might be the best cheesesteak on York Road above Warren Road. The atmosphere is great because they have a dining area away from the bar and a bar area where they make sushi in front of you with the game on. I am not sure why this restaurant takes reservations and then completely ignores your request. When we arrived, the table I asked for when I made the reservation weeks earlier was occupied. I really do not think they even reserve tables. We were just taken to an open table in the main dining room. Their attitude was: this was a Friday night and they were busy. Advice: don't take reservations for dinner if you are not going to honor them! Thankfully, our server, Eileen, was upbeat and friendly and made up for the rudeness of the hostess. This is not a restaurant that you can take your time in; they want you in and out as quickly as possible. We had to slow our server down. I decided to try the Sushi Grade Ahi seared Tuna salad with avocado, cucumber over spring greens and romaine with a soy-wasabi vinaigrette. It was very tasty, however, I would have liked more greens on the plate. My husband had the grilled salmon with tomatoes over spring greens and romaine with a citrus-miso dressing. He had lots of greens on his plate. He was happy that they cooked the salmon well; as he had requested. Our friends enjoyed two orders of the Japanese Dumplings, the Shrimp Tempura and a Spicy Tuna Roll and Spicy Shrimp Roll. The bottle of wine we ordered cost more than our dinners. We had a nice night out tonight at Fusion. The scallion pancakes wrapped around beans were excellent. The sesame crispy eggplant with sweet sesame glaze sauces appetizer was delicious ! WORST SUSHI EVER! Ordered takeout from this place on a Saturday night. I got the "Poke in a Roll" and one California roll. The "Poke in a Roll" was terrible -- the tuna on the inside was brown and the roll tasted like it was expired. It literally tasted like it had been sitting out on a counter for a few days. Additionally, the seaweed gave the roll an intensely fishy flavor that was not expected. Like, I understand sushi is fish (so by nature it will taste fishy), but this roll made me feel like I was going to throw-up. It was so bad I couldn't even finish it and had to throw most of it away. The California roll was so bland, and again, it tasted expired. Even the sushi rice tasted like it had been messed up. We also ordered Pad Thai and Mongolian Beef. Both of these dishes were alright, but again nothing to write home / rave about. The Pad Thai tasted bland -- it could have used some spicy sauce and didn't even come with lime. The Mongolian Beef should actually be written on the menu as "Vegetables (peppers, onions, etc) with Just a Bit of Mongolian Beef." There were infinitely more vegetables than beef in the serving that we got. read more

I come here all the time and I've been coming here for years! My food is always consistently delicious. I've had everything on the menu at this point, so here's what I think are the best: Fried Tofu, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Crispy Tuna, Sweet Potato Roll, Chicken Fried Rice, Pink Lady roll, Chili Beef and Wonton Soup. Everything else is delicious -- I just think these aren't favorites. The portions for the entrees and appetizers are large (maybe meant for sharing?) and are reasonably priced. Even the drinks here are pretty solid. I love the sushi here and it's one of my favorite places to get it. Even takeout here is a breeze. I HATE to do this because Fusion has been our go-to sushi date for the last 6 years, but I can't stomach eating there again after I found a bug in my lo mein. Our party decided to try Fusion on my brother's recommendation. We decided to get some spring rolls, seaweed salad and several rolls to share. Everything was lovely. My favorite roll was the Crab Dynamite. I really enjoyed the baked topping. The Fusion roll was a delightful surprise. The sweetness of the mango and coconut perfectly complimented the yellowtail. The macadamia nuts added a nice texture variety. We tried a couple other rolls; The Crazy Friday and The Sweet Passion. They were both perfect. I'm so sad because Fusion used to be great. Since the new owners took over, the food quality is cheap, cheap and really cheap. The size of the fish on the sushi rolls is insultingly small. I can't believe they actually serve sushi with such small fish portions. Cheap The chicken lettuce wrap used to be mostly chicken but now it's mostly filler vegetables and a smaller portion. Cheap The back parking lot is now closed and not accessible so it's only one way in and out onto a busy York Road. Word is the new owners didn't want to pay for it's customers conveniences and additional parking. Cheap The last time I did carryout, the cleanliness was not to the standards of the past. Stopped in here for lunch with my sister. They have pretty great lunch specials with a variety of rolls-- I got the lunch combination of 2 rolls with miso soup for $9. I also added a few pieces of nigiri which caused my lunch to add up a little bit, but I'm a sucker for sushi :P My sister doesn't like sushi so this was a really great place for us to come because they have Asian dishes like noodles, rice, teriyaki, etc. so she was able to get something she enjoyed as well! Side note: don't park on the side of the fur place. We didn't know and tried to park there-- they have "no parking signs" for the fur place and we drove father down the parking lot where there were no signs (Fair game right?) and got yelled at by the fur store parking lot police-- I think that's his official title. We ate here for lunch today. The staff was pushy and not very friendly and frankly the food sucked. All the soups had shrimp in them and I am allergic to fish so no soup for me. I ordered the Hawaiian beef sticks and they were so burned I could barely bite through them, there was no sauce as described either. The service was great as was the food. I opted for Asian fare this time, however the sushi menu looked great and creative. The server (YaYa) was so sweet and really knew the menu and was able to answer my questions effectively. However, I like restaurants and bars to have a lower lite atmosphere for ambiance - this place was lite up like an operating room so it didn't have a nice welcoming atmosphere (for me). It clearly does not bother others because the place was really busy on a Tuesday night - maybe because more people are off the week between Christmas and New Year's. This was a great experience. Fusion is wonderful, as is Lisa Lee's previous restaurant creation, Umi Sake. Like US, you can expect great service and great food. The difference, here, is that in addition to the pan-Asian menu and the very extensive sushi roll menu, you also end up with some very interesting American favorites. Want a philly cheesesteak? Well, they have them. Chicken sandwich? Yep, have those, too! But the name tells you what they can do. Don't expect anything typically American to necessarily be normal. There is an appetizer of nachos and cheese, except it's actually called "CRABBY NACHOS" and it is a layer of chips, covered in a complete layer of delicious crab meat, and then smothered with melted cheeses. I'm pretty sure there was some old bay in the cheese melt, too. They were amazing. I added a photo tot he photo gallery if you want an idea of the deliciousness of it. The sushi roll we ordered (San Diego roll) was A+. The unagi was spot-on, with less of the fatty side than most sushi joints in the area. Finally, the chicken and broccoli I got as my main course was so big that I had to take 3/4 of it home - no way to fit anymore in after eating half the crabby nachos and two pieces of eel. I would recommend this place to anybody, as even if you don't eat sushi or Asian food at all, there are things for you here! Great for families that might have picky kids! read more
