I went with a Southwest steak salad, only altering it by leaving out two toppings. They didn't have my "plain Jane" Thousand Island dressing . . . nor French - I forget WTH I got but it was just okay. I wasn't wow'd by my salad (like I was at SALAD HOUSE in Cherry Hill) . . . not enough steak or dressing. There wasn't anything special about it. Very fresh at least though. Clean space and there are electrical outlets under the benches for phone charging purposes I guess. When the self proclaimed "App Queen" doesn't download your app, there's a problem! I usually go to the Cherry Hill location, but after walking out on a terrible customer service experience and still really wanting a salad from this business, I drove the extra miles here. I am so glad that I did! The employees working were very friendly, helpful, and even funny! The woman who made my salad did so carefully and the gentleman who was working with her was enthusiastically talking about a customer who repeatedly comes in and how he can save him a few dollars the next time by suggesting a slightly different way to make his salad that usually he orders with several extra toppings. I thought that showed these employees really cared about the customers walking through their door and I appreciated the friendly service that Cherry Hill was lacking. The salads can definitely get up there in price with toppings so having good customer service along with fresh ingredients makes this business worth it. I visited on a Saturday at 1:20 pm and ordered a single salad. It was 12 mins before I was able to order, with only one person ahead of me. There were 2 people working the front. When I thought it was my turn, the female worker proceeded to start yelling because the online orders rolled in. Instead of prioritizing the 4 people waiting in line--she looked at me and said: "sorry I gotta do these. He'll get you next." The other customers and I looked at each other dumbfounded. One customer said to me, "when I walked in, another person said 'good luck, they're really slow!" For the price of the salad ($16) this level of service is unacceptable. Also, when I went to take a seat at a booth, they were filthy. See photos. I had to use napkins and water to clean one booth, while the workers looked at me. Marlton is a small town; rent is expensive in this shopping center. I went to Chopt for the first time today since I have been to Sweetgreen before and figured it would be similar. I ordered the kale Caesar salad and added in grilled chicken. It was very yummy and had the perfect amount of dressing added! There were lots of employees working however the service was slow since they have to mix the salads and add the dressing at the end. The mixing takes about 3-4 minutes to do. The restaurant was very clean and had multiple tables to eat in. I will definitely be back again soon! read more

I like this place. Normally not a salad person, but this stupid diet I'm on has me watching my calories. I like that the menu has the calories listed. Chopt Marlton opened this week! They are decorated out front with a fun balloon arch and the restaurant is bustling with energy and excitement. You can make your own salad or order one from the menu. You can still customize the ones on the menu. I ordered the crispy chicken ranch salad, which comes with Romaine, purple cabbage, chicken, hot peppers, pepper Jack, and celery. I got blue cheese dressing instead of ranch. It also came with a slice of bread. The salad was a decent size and definitely filled me up. While I sat to eat two gentlemen (owners/managers perhaps) checked in to see if I had everything I needed. They even brought me a small cup of olive oil for my bread. I have order pickup twice from them. Once it was alright but barely any dressing and a few wrong ingredients. Tonight was the lowest of low with literally the smallest squirt of dressing, wrong ingredients and other dressing flavors in there. There was barely anyone in the store when I picked up. Chopt has got it. Hot cold and handheld to go. I've been eating their wraps for the past few days and loving them but needing to slim up a bit I'm moving back to salads. I've turned my Cobb salad into a Buffalo Chicken Cobb. I switch out the grilled chicken for fried chicken and I get ranch and Valentina hot sauce to spice it up. Try it, you will not be sorry. Went to Chopt tonight to get salads to go. We weren't greeted and were confused with the ordering process. Finally when acknowledged we had some menu questions answered and we started to build our salads. We get through the entire process until it's time for dressing and that's when we were informed "WE ARE OUT OF BUTTERMILK RANCH.... ITS REALLY POPULAR." Perhaps any unavailable items like a popular salad dressing should have been told upon starting the order. Under pressure I chose the steakhouse blue cheese which was lack luster and more peppery than anticipated. There were huge chunks of hard boiled egg and avocado that could've been "chopt" better. I got the palm salad with shrimp almost $16, pricey. It's huge but not a lot of taste. The shrimp had no seasoning and overall was a very bland salad. Customer service is terrible! On two separate occasions I stood in line, no one else in line, and had to wait a long time. The person in the back saw there was a customer waiting. After she finished pulling the plastic wrap she proceeded to the back. When I peered through the window, she was talking and laughing. I decided to leave on both occasions and went to Poke Bros next door. Their prices are significantly cheaper, unlimited toppings, great selection and they immediately greet you when you walk through the door.
