Great Indian street food, best enjoyed on the street patio or soon after you get home. Loved the Samosa Chaat and Pani Puri!

Love lunch here but now that cold weather comes it might be tiny dining inside. I had an outside table for lunch

My family and I are…read morestaying in Toronto for the week and we were looking for something to eat on a rainy Friday afternoon. We found Cumin on some food blog online and decided to give it a try - and were not disappointed! We came in right after opening (noon) and the restaurant was empty, but throughout the course of our meal two or three parties came and went. Owner explained that the place gets crowded around dinner time on the weekdays and during lunchtime on the weekends. Immediately after being seated, the owner himself (incredibly friendly!) came to greet us and chat with us about our stay in Toronto, and personally took our orders for the table. Between 6 people, we each ordered one entrée and two appetizers which was just a bit too much for us all to finish - but it was great to try a bit of everything. Throughout our meal, the owner came to chat with us and we made great conversation about the food and our trip. We were able to customize the spice level for each of our dishes according to our tastes, and honestly everything turned out great and was super tasty. Probably one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to! The place itself is well decorated, tastefully modern and very clean. Definitely recommend if you're around the Danforth area and are looking for a hot lunch and a bit of good conversation!

Always love coming here, whether it be for date night or an afterwork meal with coworkers. The restaurant is fully accessible where they have a section with lots of natural lighting, They are also able to accommodate larger groups as well. Must get items at Banjara are the garlic naan, butter chicken, and the lamb sausage kebabs! Their curries are great for sharing and heavy, where the sauces are best eaten with naan or rice. The portions may look small but do not be fooled. There are also plenty of options if you are vegetarian as well. They also are licensed to sell alcohol as well. Service wise, staff try to be accommodating as best they can and food usually arrives at a reasonable time, even if you are coming as a big party. Overall, been going to Banjara for many years now and will definitely return for more!

The bindhi was fresh tasting and the goat was nicely spiced I asked for it to be mild. It was a good meal but the atmosphere was not controllable. But the food is still good

Really wonderful food at this Gerrard Eatery…read more We had the pakora, chicken korma and lamb biryani with naan bread and mango lassis. Fyi a little pricier than some other restos in this area but fantastic quality and generous portions. (For 2 of us we still had leftovers to take home) Nice modern decor and vibe. Pleasant and knowledgeable service. Parking is on the street. Highly recommend.

The decor doesn't really fit the food, but the kids loved the colour of this place. Server was very nice and attentive but the star was the food. Mango lassi was very tasty and had toppings and a wafer that the kids fought over. The aloo gobhi was very good and the samosas were large and spicy. The chutneys that were offered, especially the mango was the table favourite. The paneer dish was very good but the standout was the garlic naan and butter chicken. The naan was so tasty and had bits of garlic in it that offered such a great taste. Butter chicken is usually not my favourite but our kids love it, but this butter chicken had so much depth of flavour. You can't pick your spice level so I would say that the heat level is a strong medium. We had to drink lots of water but we all enjoyed the spice level. Presentation of the food was nice, and there was ample quantity- so we had to box up the leftovers. The dishes were so good that we ate the rest for dinner that evening.
