Finally made it to CHPSTX Asian Eatery on Woodruff Road and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Right away the vibe was welcoming -- friendly, outgoing staff and the chef (possibly the owner) was out checking on tables and chatting with guests, which is always a great sign. We came hungry and ordered a spread: sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, garlic noodles with chicken, and the kung pao Brussels sprouts. The garlic noodles with chicken were a standout surprise -- buttery, fresh-tasting, and nicely balanced without being overly garlicky. The General Tso's had a pleasant sweetness (I personally wouldn't mind a little more heat), and the sesame chicken was spot-on. Both dishes used quality cuts of chicken -- tender and not that tough, chewy takeout texture you sometimes get. But the real star? The kung pao Brussels sprouts. Wow. Perfect char, just the right amount of sauce, and loaded with scallions and peanuts for great texture. This is technically a vegetarian dish, but it's going to be my go-to "order for the table" every time. Easy 5-star experience. We finally found our new favorite Chinese takeout place! The Honey Chicken, Fried Rice, Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls (with chicken and not pork (yay!)), Singapore Noodles, and Broccoli Chicken were all tasty. Provided in good and sturdy takeout containers. I actually like their plastic cutlery and keep it for my own stash. Friendly service and haven't experienced busyness. Gotta try those tasty Brussels sprouts next time. Happy belly dance! Staff and owners were very nice. My co-worker bit into the wasabi sauce without knowing what it was. Highlight of my night. Lol He ate his entire entree then blamed me for it. He had the walnut shrimp and they add pineapple to theirs. He said he was full but kept eating. His shrimp came with rice and we also order eggrolls and crab rangoon which are made by real crab btw! Had a lovely dinner with family here tonight!!! I got the egg flower soup and the almond chicken, and both were fresh, tasty, and had bountiful portions. The chicken was tender, the rice was cooked perfectly, and the vegetables and almonds had a nice crunch. Yes. First off go try it. The staff are super sweet and kind inside and the place is very open which I love. The portions are very large for the prices which is nice. The crab Rangoon was a pass for me. It was fishy and like 3 for one piece. The size was great but the flavor wasn't it for me. The general tso chicken was delicious. And I will absolutely go back to try more things. Overall you can't be disappointed with the service and food and prices. read more

The food here is good. I've only gotten take out from here. The pork wontons are delicious and has a good spice to them. The crab rangoons are sold individually because they are massive. I liked everything that I got for the most part but the garlic noodles were my least favorite. There was a ton of cheese on it so it was very overwhelming. I do recommend the lo mein! read more

The original Lieu's has a order-at-the-counter restaurant! I thought the menu was familiar. I ordered the Spicy Basil Beef (+3 star hot) and a Egg Roll. First off, let me tell you I ate too much! I ordered the lunch portion size and it was plenty. The food was hot and fresh, just like it's big brother restaurant. They have beer and wine. Fountain drinks are Pepsi and coke in one size. Service was very personable and friendly. Fortune cookies, of course. The ambiance is casual. I'll be back but with someone to share my lunch with! read more

They just opened up 2 weeks ago and come from the Lieu family. We ordered for pick up so I didn't get a chance to sit down and get a feel for the atmosphere. Although when I came in to pick it up the place was busy (lunch hours) and looked pretty clean. I had a chance to talk to a family member of the owner and she was quite nice and helpful. She gave me extra white sauce and hot oil per my request. As for the food, we got egg flower soup, garlic noodles with chicken and black pepper steak. It ended up being ~$35 which we thought was a little high but the portions were big and the food tasted pretty good so in the end we thought it was worth it. The garlic noodles didn't seem great at first but as you eat it, it starts to grow on you so we ended up liking it more. The soup was light and "flowery" and was perfect for the cold weather that day. I got my black pepper steak at a 2 spice level on their chart and it was a good level for me. Overall we really enjoyed our lunch outing and would come back to try more. Also we would recommend it to others. read more

If you like Lieu's on Woodruff Rd or the one off of Pelham Rd you'll love Chopstx. From what I understand they're owned by the same people. I got a to-go order and the food was cooked fresh and tasted great. I ordered the general Tso's chicken with white rice. It was very similar to Lieu's spicy chicken. The portion sizes were also very good. One order was enough to feed at least two people, or enough for leftovers. The staff were very friendly and the ambiance inside was nice. I went around 5pm in a weekday and there wasn't anyone there at the time, so I got in and out quickly. I will definitely be back. read more

Just tried them for lunch. This is a casual, counter service place. Ambiance is ok. I got the black pepper beef lunch portion.. mine came w/soup.. I'm allergic to eggs so I gave it to my husband, hot & sour soup. hubs got beef fried rice.. For two entrees, one beer, a cup of water it was 39.00! Unbelievable?! Now.. that was w/ 15% tip! Expensive is an understatement! The food.. was way too salty!! All I could taste was sodium.. I'm guessing there's a ton of MSG being used in their food? The people were friendly, it was clean. Food was hot. However not something I would recommend.. or try again. I prefer flavors, fresh tasting ingredients. The other thing that bothered me.. is for dine in.. everything was still packaged in disposable/Togo containers, everything was plastic! Not a fan. Ordered the black pepper beef and shrimp garlic noodles. The beef was very tender and flavorful (I don't like black pepper but this dish was DELISH. The owner suggested I try it.) the noodles were typical lo mein noodles but the sauce was surprisingly very good and the shrimp were huge. New restaurant and it is amazing. The lunch is an incredible value. Love the sweet and sour chicken and the basil chicken. My wife and kids have tried a few other items and they liked them all. Dinner portions are a little more expensive and don't come with soup but they are large enough to share.
