Some serious take out sushi that was even more delicious than the picture!

This applies to their take out only, we did not dine in. Our usual sushi place was closed on the evening we had a full family hankering for some sushi. I had seen pictures and reviews from other Yelpers and due to that consideration and location near my house, we rolled the dice with Chef Lin. I say rolled the dice because 1) we had never eaten here before , 2) it was take out, so you get what you get and 3) we went all in on almost $200 worth of sushi. Turns out, we rolled a seven, a winner across the board. The sushi arrived in a beautiful arrangement on a large, flat carry out platter. It had to be at least a 12" diameter platter, but may have been 14", with a cover. I've never seen carry out sushi packaged so well. It was just as would be laid out and presented had we dined in at the restaurant. There were two platters, one with rolls and one with more rolls and some nigiri sushi. Everything was generously portioned and very fresh. We could not have been more pleased with the quality, presentation, value, freshness and it was reasonably quickly prepared. Can't wait to try this place in person!

There are a few places that are operated by the same Lin family name so be aware of that. This place is always great, one of the best sushi places around. It was recommended by a neighbor. My one issue is that pricing seems to vary depending on dine in or take out, by a lot.

Alright, so I did not have a very pleasant experience here. Not wiithout effort. The chief complaint is that it took a extraordinary long time to get my food. Like 25 minutes. And it came in tepid. It and the rice. As it turned out, they said they were busy and the order just got lost. So they offered to remake the dish but then they removed my oranges! The bonus point I'll give is that they don't charge for more rice. Kudos for that. The general tso'd had no heat to it either. If you look they put no chili peppers on my original plate, the one with the oranges. Even after the chili peppers it wasn't anything more than. Like 1/8th of a jalapeno in heat. If you wanna grab a server or are worried that they forgot about your order, use the button on the table to expedite the process because I don't want you to suffer the same fate. A shame because this place looks great. The servers were nice whenever you got their time of day and they tried to be helpful but yeah the whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth.

Always return because their food is very good and service is wonderful too. We ordered some rolls, hibachi & fried rice. Yum!

Wow, bloody wow... My wife and I randomly popped into this place whilst we were in town for business. What an absolute hidden gem. The menu is abundant that it was difficult choosing a dish as they all looked sooo good. The food was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the orange chicken dish and I ordered the soft shell crab appetiser and the rainbow roll for my entree. Talk about a circus in your mouth. So many delicious flavours and the sushi, no exaggeration, just melted in my mouth. You can tell the Chef takes pride in his work as the presentation was spectacular. My wife and I live in Charleston and I've got to say the sushi up here is much better than what we have down In Charleston and nearly half the price for better quality fish. Best of all was the customer service. We arrived just before closing time and they still served us even though they were cleaning up. The staff was so kind and treated us like family from the time we walked in to the time we left. Highly recommend this place. We will be back. Five stars and three thumbs up from us.

We were really happy with our experience here! We didn't try any sushi, so we can't comment on that yet. We stuck with takeout classics like red curry and general tsos chicken. Was very flavorful and fresh testing. It was takeout, but better. Can't wait to go back and try the sushi side of the menu!

I'm back with another review... this time of Chef Lins Asian bistro... decided to give this place a try recently and was pleasantly surprised.... They specialize in High end well presented sushi... there Thai dishes were also very delicious... we had the sashimi appetizer and fried calamari as a starter and shared the Thai seafood dinner... very fresh tasting and well presented.... They ask for reservations but there take out( Door Dash) and walk up business does well... will definitely go again...

There are so many varieties in this restaurant. The service is great and the portions are good too. The customer service was really good for the time we went. The flavor was a bit spotty for me. The soup was lacking flavor and along with some of the other dishes. The presentation was good though. The prices were good as well. I would absolutely go back and see about trying something different however the edamame is always a success.

Very pleasant staff! Great menu! The Tuna Dumpling is a tuna lover's dream! Big enough to have a lunch meal with a salad or soup! The Uni was fresh and creamy! Not many places have Uni! The Toro was was well marbled and super tender! I got take out. Having fresh Shiso leaf and banana leaves shows a real attention to detail!

Very nice atmosphere and food presentation, i wasn't expecting that at lunch. I had the $13 sushi lunch special(Salmon,Yellowtail and Spicy Crunch Tuna roll) that came with a salad and I added a bowl of Tom Yum Goong soup. Everything was delicious and fresh. What a deal. I will become a regular at lunch.

Went to Chef Lin's today! I got the Sushi Pizza and Asian Sandwich. It was SO good and the presentation was beautiful. The place has a very calm, relaxing feel. The employees are very very nice, attentive, and keep the restaurant super clean. Zero complains, only praise!! Will be returning

It was our first time. We were greeted by the host and employees there. They were all very friendly and welcoming! We started off with crab Rangoon's as our appetizer which were delicious. And in less than 15 minutes or less our main course meals were ready. The food was beautifully displayed and absolutely delightful in taste! The hospitality was pretty great. The waitress constantly checked on us to see if we were okay which I appreciated very much. The place itself is well organized, clean, and elegantly decorated. Another thing I might add is that I usually never finish my food anywhere else but here I definitely enjoyed and devoured every bite I took lol! Definitely recommend this place!

The egg flower soup is pure comfort in a bowl. Silky ribbons of egg drifting through a golden broth that tastes like it has stories to tell. It is delicate but confident, warm without being heavy, the kind of soup that resets your whole mood. And the Szechuan salmon? Listen. Perfectly cooked, tender and flaky, wrapped in that bold, slightly spicy Szechuan glaze that dances instead of overwhelms. It has heat, depth, personality. Every bite feels intentional. What really sets this place apart is Peter and his wife. They do not just run a restaurant, they cultivate community. Every time I come in, they show me love like I am family. Not the polite, rehearsed kind. The real kind. The "good to see you again" with meaning behind it. If you want amazing food and an atmosphere that feels like home, Lieu's Bistro is it. Only 4 tables were occupied and it was easy to get service, this time from Emily (Em) who was very personable and attentive. Turns out, this trip the sushi rice was much less sweet, my previous concern being that too much mirin in the rice seemed to fit that visit, this one was fine. "First you eat with your eyes", said an ancient Roman gourmand whose name I can't remember. And he is right about that. These rolls and nigiri look fantastic (see pics), and taste equally well. This spot is 1.5 miles from my house and now is on our rotation. The Cherry Blossom roll, the Dragon Maki and the regular yellowtail scallion are going to be regulars for us. As a p.s. and this is important, the regular spicy tuna roll is actual tuna and not minced up tuna. I'm always afraid the minced tuna is yesterday's or the day before, diced up and mixed with hot sauce and rolled. So I always check that. We are all good here!

Vibe: Modern and open interior, chairs don't match, maybe too large, but lots of seating. Brown tones, concrete stained floor. Service: we were one of two tables at 6:30 on Monday. Not a large crowd. Seated quickly, ordered and food arrived timely. After that, not so much attention. Since we were the only table, after a while, I think the staff just got caught up talking to each other. We did want an extra plate to serve our dishes on, ala family style. We did get one water refill. But had to interrupt conversation to get any to go boxes or our bill. One disturbing thing was the water refill pitcher was placed on a nearby table after we got the refill and then it was placed on the second shelf of the cart they were using to bus the only other table that had departed. It was right next to some all purpose squirt bottle cleaner and right under the dirty dishes bin on the top shelf. Yikes! Food: the food was very good. The Spicy Basil was medium hot, as requested, savory, lots of fresh vegetables and a good chili Thai style sauce that was thick enough to hold and not be runny but not too thick as to be gloppy. The fried rice was okay. The Happy Family was similarly tasty and had a similar thickness/texture. The hot and sour soup was good, a little out of balance on the sour side, but plenty of vegetables as well and served with the crunchy noodles on the side. This may be a better lunch spot? It certainly wasn't crowded for dinner and I didn't see any to go orders hustling out, maybe one or two? I think the food can stand up to being a good sit down restaurant. The staff needs to be more in tune with serving and waiting the tables. I'm concerned about that water pitcher. The large dining area made the restaurant feel even more empty and less intimate or romantic than had they closed off some area and created sections. I understand it has been open for over one year, which is surprising based on what we witnessed, but it may be a lunch thing? Bottom line, the food is very good, but I'm not sure we would journey here again unless we were in the area.

It truly is the perfect takeout spot and hole in the wall restaurant hidden in the corner of a strip mall in a grocery store parking lot. Unfamiliar with a Chinese takeout spot in the area, and having heard the recommendations from the people closest to me, I decided to give it a go. I order the black pepper chicken with lo mein noodles and an egg roll. It's not a combination that's directly available on the website (unable to choose lo mein noodles in lieu of fried rice) but it is available if you put it in the special notes section on the checkout page before submitting. I haven't had takeout in a while but this was incredible. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, and crispy on the outside while still being juicy on the inside. I don't order lo mein often due to have being burned before by takeout spots either from lacking flavor, or being undercooked. These noodles were everything needed for a redemption in my eyes. The egg roll was shockingly large while still being a quality roll. They give you a handful of different sauce packets in the bag with your meal which I would usually gravitate towards as egg rolls can be a bit dry but I found myself not needing anything extra. I will say this place gets bonus points for putting their food in these recyclable(?) non styrofoam containers. A lot more sturdy, a nicer feel and no weird grating sound when your fork hits the bottom of the container grabbing the last couple pieces of chicken. There's no option to eat inside the restaurant, which is fine as it's a takeout restaurant, but just as a heads up for anyone looking for that. Service was quick and easy, able to get in, get the food and head out within a couple minutes.
