But we need to work backward. After 40 years of marriage and weight gain, I needed my wedding ring resized. Two jewelers I checked with estimated a 2-3 week turnaround, longer with the 1st store since the jeweler was on vacation. My wife looked online, found Two Sisters and saw the business had great reviews. The reviews were right. Dropped the ring off yesterday and picked it up today. Not only was my ring perfectly resized (which was determined yesterday by a very friendly lady behind the counter) but thanks to an expert cleaning my ring shines and sparkles just like on the day my bride slipped it onto my finger at our wedding. When I picked up the ring, the lady wasn't there but there was a friendly young man and...the gray-haired male comedian. His advice for caring for the shiny ring? On a sunny day when I'm driving, hang my hand with the wedding ring out the car window, point it at the other cars and blind them with my bling. I intend to use that. Believe me, he had other suggestions, one potentially painful but might just work. This is our go-to jewelers now. It's a great store doing fine work, and with at least one person doing standup as you pay the bill. What more could you ask for?

Warmly greeted upon our entry. I remained at the seating area by the entrance, while my family member was discussing battery replacements for three watches. There were various glass display cases with assorted merchandise - necklaces, gems, costume jewelry pieces, watches, etc. There was another customer who came in later and inquired to have watches evaluated to sell with another store employee. After a brief wait, the battery replacements and payment were completed. It was nice to see such professionalism and patient pleasantries observed. When I inquired about the payment of the judgment my phone was blocked. Next stop, filing a motion for discovery of assets and subpoena the management under oath. If they ignore it will file a writ of bodily attachment which will require them to present to court in person. Failure to do so will result in an arrest warrant issued under the Illinois statutes. When I arrived he said it was $30 for a battery change and $25 for a link change (he said if I needed two links which I had, but was missing one of the two pins that would be needed to hold the links together, it would be an additional $10 for the part). I tried to haggle as it is a cash only business, to which he added sales tax to the service. So just over 60 dollars for a battery change and one link put-on. I personally think he was overcharging $5-$10 per service performed (in this case, two). However, he is an expert with years of experience and one of the very few watch makers available in the area. Also, you don't have to ship your watch if you don't want to (like many places require nowadays). There are various ATM's close-by within walking distance. It took Mike about 15 minutes and I would recommend but, must know he is firm with his business and signs are posted that sales are final whether your watch works afterwards or not.

bring gold here. don't bring silver or pearls. i brought a few items for analysis. first, a pearl…read morehad been very poorly set at another jeweler, leaving epoxy on the pearl and setting and the pearl was off center. the ken's jeweler associate said it was the "best way that the prior jeweler had thought it should go" and said i should just live with it. that was my first sign not to bring pearls here. second, they say they can clean jewelry. i brought an abalone silver ring and asked for cleaning. she said why don't you just use a cleaning cloth and did a light hand polish and handed it back. so i didn't request any further cleaning services. they don't have on-site silver smithing. they use the same bench smith as every other jeweler in Tacoma, which has associated higher prices for send out and they cant do a consult directly as a result. so you can't plan repairs or new work in silver with the jewelers doing the work or even get a quote on site. they might be ok for gold but for silver or pearls, don't go. they don't have any personal knowledge.
