Five stone 14k yellow gold "Mother's ring"
    Shari Ann S.

After 25 years, some of the prongs on my treasured "mother's ring" were in serious need of attention. I brought the ring to Seattle Fine Jewelry having noticed their shop while walking past (sometimes finding what you need is that serendipitous). They could not have been kinder, more helpful nor more thorough in showing me under magnification how worn and poorly fitting some of those old prongs had become. For a very fair price they retipped the damaged prongs, made sure all the stones were snugly set, and cleaned and polished my ring so that it looks better than it has in decades. They do excellent restoration of antique jewelry too and are genuine artists at it as well, not to mention their custom jewelry. This is a wonderful family owned local business. I am absolutely delighted with their work, and recommend them if you have any fine jewelry repairs to be done or are looking for quality custom designed jewelry.

I wanted to surprise my wife with a piece of custom jewelry for our 20th anniversary. The challenge was that my wife doesn't wear rings, and I wasn't sure what else she'd like, just that she's not a fan of yellow gold. I reached out to Seattle Fine Jewelry and met with Nancy to get some ideas. I was impressed. She asked me about my wife's hobbies and interests to help us think outside the (jewelry) box. My wife is an avid reader, and carries her Kindle everywhere, so Nancy suggested a custom Kindle cover with 20 gems (one per year of our marriage) in my wife's favorite colors. What a great idea! The three diamonds represent me and our two sons. The gems are in a design in one corner of the cover, so they aren't in the way when she's reading. Nancy was very patient and helpful throughout the design process. I learned a lot about gems in the process. Her husband is the bench jeweler who makes the pieces, so he reviewed the design and figured out how to construct this truly unique piece. They did an excellent job! Fine craftsmanship that looks just like the design. They included an appraisal for our insurance company. I couldn't be happier with the result. Now my wife has a truly unique anniversary gift, and as she says "It goes with any outfit!" She was curious what happens if she upgrades her Kindle, and Nancy reassured us that they can move the design to a new cover, using the existing materials. I highly recommend Seattle Fine Jewelry, especially if you're looking for a local, family-run jeweler.

    Clean and sparkling!

5 stars all the way. I had my wedding ring spiffed up, cleanned and polished and they resided and repair a very special dragon ring I bought in Thailand 25 years ago. Highly recommend. Nancy is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and her husband is a jewelry wizard! Thank you guys!

My fiancé and I are so thankful we stumbled upon this gem of a shop. Thanks to them, we were able to design the ring of my dreams without breaking the bank. They were fantastic--bringing in options for me to choose from without making the process overwhelming. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we highly recommend this jeweler!

Nancy, Ramir and the team created this lovely shadow box for a fragile cross that was given to me by my mother.

She had the biggest fake finger nails on and due to the store policy, she had to peel off all the plastics off of my watch (to prevent reselling she said). She probably left several micro scratches on the watch while doing that because of her fake nails. And what I wrote above so far wasn't even the worst of my experience. Apparently, I was supposed to bring the original credit card I gave them 6 months ago when I pre-ordered the watch(?). I was not told this at all. All they told me was that a credit card was required for them to process the preorder. During the 6 months, I had to cancel and have the card reissued due to a fraudulent transaction (unrelated to this purchase). The lady asked me for the credit card which I no longer had. Then she proceeded to indirectly accuse me of doing something illegal thru her body language and facial expression. That's how I felt anyway even though she did not directly say anything like that. I had to talk to someone in the back (I assume it was a manager) to sort this out (all she had to do was to check my ID and run the transaction onto my new credit card). This was about 4 years ago. I totally forgot about this horrific experience until today (I saw a wrist watch on TV and it randomly reminded me). Avoid this place. They also dangle Rolex watches in their display when they don't even have any for sale to public. Also who are they to tell me what I can what I cannot do with my watch? I am not even a reseller and I thought it was very out of line for them to require to peel off the plastic protectors. And if this is a requirement, the workers here shouldn't be allowed to have long fake nails either. They are lucky I am not picky about little scratches. Places like this totally got me lose interest in watches. I guess I should thank them for saving me thousands last 4years. Btw, I took the watch and got the bracelet resized at their Bellevue location. And they totally butchered one of the links while removing it. Even this, I will add that they are lucky, I don't care too much about things like this. The only good thing from all this was that the watch is beautiful and I still wear it frequently. It was a gift for myself for turning 40, which this store almost ruined.

Donna greeted me with a genuine warmth that told me she loves what she does. She's incredibly patient, taking the time to explain the nuances of history in the antique pieces, the metals, stones, and settings in a way that makes sense. She encouraged curiosity, inviting me to try on anything that sparked joy, no pressure--just possibilities. Brandon and Sean kept the energy high with their easy smiles and readiness to help whenever needed. The whole team made it feel less like a purchase and more like a thoughtful journey toward something meaningful. When we decided to upgrade our wedding rings, the experience only got better. I found a beautiful Art Deco piece that just fits what I was looking for perfectly. We both found pieces we love, the price was fair, and the service was flawless from start to finish. If you want a jewelry shopping experience that's educational, stress-free, and truly welcoming--where you're treated like family--this is the place to go. Five stars from us.

Brandon was the first to help us and apologized saying he didn't realize we were waiting. Again, no big deal he got right into figuring out what we had come in for. We said we wanted to look at engagement rights together and wanna see what we like and don't like cause how can you know unless you go try some on. We were then sat down with another associate, Sean. Idk if he was just looking to make only money that day but customer experience was horrible. He was asking what I was looking for I said I'm leaning towards a Dutch marquise but know they're hard to come by so I wanted to see marquise in person on my finger to get an idea if I'd like it in real life. Brandon had already laid out some marquise for me beforehand so Sean showed be them again and then talked AT me and explained what I wanted was an elongated hex... thank you, thats great to know although both are correct. He explained what cut and clarity were. Not something I was confused about but again, thanks. He pulled up some from his source and told us how much they were and it felt as if he was trying to make us leave or scare us away by mentioning the prices. Then he asked for timeline and my boyfriend didn't wanna say exactly what the timeline was in front of me and it's like a switch went off and he just wanted us out of his store. He was like okay well here's my card and lmk when you guys are ready. And then we just sat there in an awkward silence for a moment cause he dismissed us so fast we couldn't even process we were being kicked out lol. Anyway... I would not recommend coming here unless you can be perceived as being loaded, if you get what I'm saying. Horrible customer service from Sean. Brandon however, was great. Really wanted to support a jeweler local to us but I could never spend money at a place that treats their potential customers like this.

The owner of the business was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all of my questions. Three visits later I have successfully purchased three different jewelry items and have no regrets! So the store is one of a kind in the fact that it offers a 90 day financing option. It takes about 10 minutes to set up and before you know it you're purchasing your item and paying it off over the stretch of 90 days instead of all at once. It's very important to note that you leave with the item that day not 90 days later. I was able to pay off the jewelry in 90 days and I didn't pay a cent more than what the item was worth. I give this business five stars. I would prefer this type of shopping over Benbridge or any other huge jewelry chainstore any day of the week.
