This was the first problem in the 2 years I've had it. They filled it, I paid them and they left. A few days later it stopped cooling again. Again they came out but finally found a leak. Said the part was covered by warranty and they would order it. I didn't hear at all from them for about 4 days. Finally, I called and Jeff said the part would be here on Friday. Friday came and went. Monday came and went. No call. Again, I call Jeff and am told the part was shipped to the wrong location and it will take until Friday to get it from Mechanicsburg to the office here. It was 3 days from then. Again, Friday came and went. No communication and no answer to two calls. Set up appointments to have it repaired and no show each time. Finally answered my calls and told me his grandson was born and he was busy. 5 days he could have at least called or texted. I would have been happy to wait had I been told. Finally came out today. Late and no call. I called and was told they were on the way and they had to wait until the rain stopped. No problem. Call me and tell me. I understand there are things that are out of his control. Today they got it fixed. Replaced the coil which was covered under warranty. $610. $585 was the labor charge for two hours. Even if the last visit was included it would be a total of 3 hours or so. I cannot recommend and actually discourage people from using Stoudts plumbing.

The first time they came out they augered the pipes and called it a day. Fine - no more clog and everything seemed OK. I had to call them out a second time because the same thing happened. They stayed a little longer, said they cleared the line, charged me and left. I had to call them a THIRD time. Told them how they had already been out here a few times already and to see if they could investigate further to find the cause of the problem. I expected them to run a camera and stay until they found a problem. They were at my house for an hour or so and said they were done. I asked pointedly if they had found the problem - they said they saw nothing, charged me, and left. I called them to complain that days after they were out there was still a clog and they gave me a excuse saying they'd have to charge me again to have someone come out and complete the job they should have the first time Two days later and I have another plumber out here with a camera and a jet clearing my main sewer line of a rock and a clog that was farther down the main line. Theyve run a camera down the pipe and have had me look at what they are seeing. They've been here almost 5 hours and have been extremely polite and informative. I will NEVER call Stoudt's ever again and will tell anyone I can about their terrible service and lack of integrity. I waste over 600 dollars with this criminal company.

Although the installers were nice, that was the only good part of this experience. The company offered to pay for a hotel, but because of other responsibilities, it was not a practical solution. What made matters worse was the lack of communication afterward. I was told technicians would arrive at 10:00 a.m. the next day to troubleshoot the problem, and I made sure to be home. By 10:45 a.m., I still had not heard from anyone. No call, no update, nothing, until I reached out to them. The new technicians finally arrived at 11:45 a.m. For the amount of money a new HVAC system costs, this level of inconvenience and poor communication is unacceptable. Nice technicians do not make up for a brand new system not working and the lack of respect for a customer's time.

In this case, we needed to replace a natural gas hot water boiler and the water tank connected to it and we hired LCS. LCS had glowing reviews here on Yelp and I hoped they were true when we decided to hire them. I can say now that those reviews weren't glowing enough. LCS's attention to detail and their commitment to the quality of their work is amazing. Three anecdotes to give you a feel: 1) They were to arrive on day 1 of a 2-day installation at 8:30 am. They arrived at 8:33 and the first words out of their mouth were a sincere apology for being late. 2) At the end of the job, they found that the thermostat they had was not the one they ordered, and they asked to stop by the next day to install the correct one. While here the next day, they noticed a drip from the exhaust vent that that might possibly hint at a thing that, someday, in the exact wrong conditions, could possibly cause a problem with exhaust pressure. And they then spent the next 6 hours very, very, very slightly rerouting the exhaust to correct that fault. 3) Later that same day, at supper time, the new thermostat - which was working fine when they left - failed; it wasn't demanding heat. I called and they were back within 20 minutes with a new thermostat. The system has worked flawlessly since. These guys are a small locally owned small business. Just some guys trying to make a living. Jason, Jonathan and Patrick are the ones I know they're legitimate, honest, responsive professionals who are trying to do it right. Reward them.

After selecting LCS we were pleased in how quickly they were able to get the job scheduled and completed. Our new Heat pump system is so much better than the old oil system. I purchased a service membership with Home Climates for my Navien boiler and had Home Climates…read moreperform annual maintenance on October 12, 2023. I paid Home Climates $19.90 per month in a membership fee for annual service. Five weeks later, on November 22, the boiler stopped working due to an ignition failure. Home Climates came to fix it and billed us $289 to fix (see invoice). When I complained, they said I got a discount and if I wasn't a member, the service call would be $499. Actually I paid $528 for the call [19.9 x 12 months = $239 + the $289]. So what was the purpose of the membership and annual maintenance if not to ensure that the furnace will work through the winter? The part and labor for the igniter was guaranteed for 5 years per the invoice, but this was the second time in two years that they had to replace it. I never received a copy of the invoice for the first replacement and I had to request a copy of the most recent one on 11/27. The technician informed us that Navien told him that part should be replaced every 2 years, however, Navien tech center denies that. Even so, I question why it wasn't replaced on October 12, 2023. The part was covered under warranty! This boiler was installed new in January 2021 so it is less than 3 years old. I canceled my Home Climates membership after this, but I will hold them to that 5 year parts and labor for the spark igniter. Something certainly is wrong with their billing.

They quickly got us in their system and sent a tech out next day to replace a part for us. We use them for our seasonal system tune-ups and they do an amazing job of helping us keep the systems maintained. This past winter we got home from a family trip only to find our house cold cause our boiler had finally given up the ghost. We called Home Climates and a tech was out the same day (Sunday night no less) to assess what happened. They were able to install a new tankless water heating system for us the same week (most of the work done in a day!) haul away our old clunky boiler and set up a smart thermostat. Never once have we felt pressured into buying from them as they answer all of our questions and have multiple HVAC options and financing options to fit our budget.
