My usual "Clinton St. Diner'' was unfortunately closed today. So, decided to blindly give this place a try. And wow.. Overpriced Pig Chow! The eggs & toast were, ok? The orange juice was good... Overall, not a good first impression. No clue how this place is even open. Maybe, desperately hungry customers? The black stuff on the plate is burnt remains from the skillet. The fact that this plate was even presented in front of me had me feeling as if I was some sort of stray mutt or pig. I've never went out to eat breakfast, and then have to go home to cook so that I can eat breakfast. Btw, I don't even write reviews. I went out of my way to write this.

Corned beef hash, scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes with a single pancake. It was delicious.

Checked out this local favorite and I wasn't disappointed. Friendly service, typical diner food breakfast selections and fair prices is what I found while eating breakfast at Chris' Diner. I will definitely try it again with the family.

Place came highly recommended by a guest at the hotel we were staying , he advised us not to eat at the hotel restaurant. So Saturday Morning we decided to try Chris Diner . Food : absolutely delicious , the home fries were actually nice and fresh and not something like some places where they just sit there and get burnt. And everything came super fast Place had good vibes and it was crowded from the minute we walked in till the minute we left , will definitely go back there if I ever visit the area again . Service : Libby was out waitress and she was the nicest thing , making such a pleasant experience for us . So it was a win win .. great service , great vibe and great food . If you even go to Binghamton you definitely should check out Chris Diner .. 5 stars across the board .

We tried this diner, it was ok. Nothing special. The service was good, food came quickly. There is no ambiance, just clean. The blueberry pancakes were large, definitely not light and flaky. The sausage and gravy was not great. Prices were average for diner food.

Very good breakfast spot in Binghamton, NY as evidenced by how insanely busy it was!! This is your basic diner-kind-of-place that all the locals go which are always the best places for breakfast food! I was staying at a nearby hotel with 15 other women for a weekend get away and we came here on the last day right after we all checked out. We took up 4 tables (2 pushed together) and Maria was our server. Even with how slammed the restaurant was she took very good care of us and everything was tasty and came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I'll be sure to hit this spot next time I'm in Binghamton!

Found this on maps. So glad I did. Exactly what you want from a dinner. Good food, great friendly servers, fast service, and socialize. Sat at the counter struck up conversation with two guys. I was impressed with the cook. Banging out dish after dish making it look easy. Impressive guy! Thanks for the good food.

If you asked me to guess where COVID-19 started, I'd guess it was here. Truly, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The first red flag started back in the parking lot, when I saw one of the cooks taking a cigarette break and "scratching" his nose. Immediately upon entry, I knew it was going to be bad. The decor was retro, but more retro in the fact it hasn't been cleaned in 50 years. The tables were cramped, the ceilings were low, the walls were dirty and yellow, and there was a thriving population of flies. While the food was cheap, believe me, my stomach payed for it later. The waffles and pancakes were dry, flavorless, and tasted like they came from an expired packet of Bisquick pancake mix. I didn't try the eggs and potatoes, but my party said they were just as bad. I really would've liked to support a small, family owned diner like Chris', but truthfully I don't know how this place is still in business.

The portions are huge and prices were great. The food itself was not so special, but you definitely won't leave hungry. The waitresses were very friendly and provided great service. The place is a bit run down, but the people go for the food and not the atmosphere/decor.

Eggs, sausage, home fries . (Home fries needed green peppers and onions) but it was good. Coffee was also good.

Reasonable prices for great food. You can sit anywhere. Everyone is nice. They only take cash, but have an ATM in the diner.

As luck would have it, it was Binghamton Restaurant Week and we attempted a walk in - first available was three+ hours later - but the hostess mentioned we could get the RW menu at the bar and two seats were calling. Lots of choices on the menu but friend and I ended up having the same meal! Cup of Cauliflower, potato and leek soup to start was yummy - very comforting, not too thick, good flavor - I could have stopped here! But fortunately did not! Main was spectacular! Salmon with everything bagel spices served over pearl couscous in a risotto style was inspired (honestly, I will try this at home)! I hope this is a menu regular because I will crave this for many more meals! Add a black Manhattan and this meal is a treat! (Took the dessert course to go - blueberry cronuts were better than chocolate but both likely suffered a wee bit from loss of ambiance and slight steaming that occurred on drive - good for sure but did not compare to the rest of the meal). Shout out to Tommy F for exceptional service - attentive but not intrusive. Ambiance is lovely (the lighting dimmed as we sat - hysterical) but we also scored the most comfortable seats in the house (I hate a high top stool with no back and no padding on the seat - those stools look nice but should go away). Also love the hook under the bar.

I think it was Lauren, she was nice enough but did not go above and beyond for her customers. She did not want to move us to a more comfortable table, despite our requesting multiple times and the place was literally empty. Finally she was able to make it happen but it was already unpleasant. She was good with bringing us hot waters with lemon as requested, but there was zero proactiveness to refill the hot water or any of the iced water. It was like us going out and trying to please the waitstaff. She did make a good suggestion for the lavender gimlet cocktail. Overall disappointing.

We came towards the end of the lunch rush (1-2PM?) and were seated immediately. The ambiance is hip and buzzy, with lots of colorful decor. The menu had some very tempting options, even for vegetarians. We started with the buffalo brussel sprouts, a stroke of genius. I'd never thought about dousing this tasty veggie in hot sauce and blue cheese, but it makes sense. This was a very tasty app, and the sprouts were roasted perfectly with crispy outer skins which provided the crunch needed for a good buffalo dish. The special that day was some kind of french dip sandwich which one of my dining companions got. Another one got a cajun catfish sandwich and graciously offered me a bite. It was flavorful. For my main, I got the spring roll bowl and decided to add tofu. It had noodles, peanuts, a sweet thai chili sauce, and lots of veggies. It was MASSIVE. Prices are a little high but the portions definitely made it worth it. I could have taken half home as leftovers if I'd wanted. The restaurant also has a coffee bar which we decided last minute to partake in instead of venturing out into the rain to find a different cafe. This was such a convenient option because we didn't have to fight to find parking or brave the weather to go to a second location. I did a pistachio latte. Someone else at my table got a Mexican hot chocolate. I treated myself to the homemade whipped cream. The coffee hit the spot. Throughout the whole experience the staff was wonderful. Our food came out quickly, and the servers were very friendly and joking with us. I'd come back if I was in the area.

It was around 5:30pm on a Saturday and luckily there were plenty of tables still available. We started with the Buffalo Brussels Sprouts which I absolutely loved! These are some of the best Brussels sprouts I've had at a restaurant. The buffalo sauce was light and not overpowering and even the blue cheese dipping sauce (which I'm usually not a fan of) was pretty mild and paired well with the Brussels sprouts. A great start! We then shared the Large Rigatoni a la Vodka and added Meatballs to it. The Large is definitely enough for 2 people. The Rigatoni was cooked well and the vodka sauce was well balanced with the cream, tomatoes, garlic, and cheese. It wasn't anything spectacular but it hit the spot! My only complaint was for ~$6, I expected the meatballs to be larger than they were. The Meatballs had good flavor but for such a large bowl of pasta, it barely makes a difference. And those 3 meatballs should be $1 each at most, in my opinion. The Side Caesar Salad was a great pair with the pasta and for ~$3, very reasonably priced. All in all, worth stopping by if you're in town!
