Chris is a life-saver. I volunteer on my condo's Home Owner's Association board. I recently received a letter from a lawyer with a claim from another insurance company saying we were responsible for water damages to an owner's unit. It was a considerable amount of money and in no way our fault. The resident's insurance agency (to go unnamed) failed to go after the person who was actually at fault for the damage and decided to come after our HOA instead. Chris walked me through the entire process of responding to the attorney letting them know legally why the HOA/condo building wasn't at fault. There's NO WAY I would have known this without his expertise. He answered all of my questions and volunteered to be copied on the correspondence in case anything additional comes up. It was so reassuring to have someone SO knowledgeable on our side. Someone who could help us defend ourselves against false claims. I truly appreciate his help, professionalism, knowledge and sense of urgency. He absolutely saved me from having to deal with this mess and from our HOA having to pay money for something that clearly wasn't our fault. I've been working with Chris on my family's insurance needs since he took over for Fred Theis and he's been great. His office staff is friendly, responsive, and beyond tolerant when i go in there with my 2 'energetic' kids. Chris is knowledgeable about the insurance that State Farm offers and is able to give sound advice, answer questions, etc. He is flexible with his hours too - he offered to show up up at his office uber-early one morning so that my husband and i could complete paperwork before my husband went into work. I recently had an experience with a bad pet insurance provider, so I thought I should make a rating for my absolutely fantastic renter's and car insurance provider since they deserve accolades! My agent, Chris Gibbens and his team member, Jennifer Conn, at State Farm truly are the best. Earlier this year there was a pipe break in my apartment, and almost all of my stuff was destroyed. State Farm was SO HELPFUL through every step of the way. They have made sure that I had a place to stay, that all of my damaged items got replaced, and that I was able to clean and fix the items that were salvageable. They were fair and quick and were obviously coming from a place of wanting to help me. I never felt like I had to fight them for anything - They were in my corner through all of the mess caused by the pipe break and consequent flood. Word to the wise - get renter's insurance if you don't have it! And definitely get it from State Farm - they are really reliable, and you will not regret it. read more

Chris and his office staff are really top notch. Unfortunately I had an incident where my bicycle was damaged by a car in a hit and run, a bike that I use for exercise and commuting. I wasn't sure if my renter's insurance would cover it but called anyways, and from there my experience was better than I could have imagined. Even though I didn't have the bike written on the policy at all, it took Chris and his office less than 48 hours from my first contact to cut me a check right out of their office in person, to buy a brand new bike. Chris walked me through the really simple process and was always quick to respond to emails and phone calls. I can't say enough how good it feels to have your insurance company be on your side, make you feel comfortable and at ease, and really go above and beyond on all levels to make claims so easy, which is way more than I can say about any other insurance company I have had experience with.
