These people are the best!! I always have my laptop insured through them as a personal article policy. My previous laptop was stolen out of my car in Southcenter about 6 months back. My car insurance wouldn't cover things inside the car, just the damage done to the car. I had a check in the mail a few days later and I didn't have to pay a deductible!! The best thing is that when I bought a replacement laptop, this office was happy to put the new laptop on my policy. Now it is covered for the same yearly price as the last one and I have peace of mind in case I accidentally damage it or it gets stolen. I'm rating Brian's office, not State Farm. I've been with Brian's office for just about 4 years, now. Before I was a client of Brian's I had internet based insurance and it just wasn't a pleasant interaction. Since the first day of walking into Brian's office, he made me feel welcome. A very chatty guy with a big heart. Unlike many offices, he seems to actually care about each and every client. Be careful though, he's got jokes!! As far as State Farm goes...They have been a decent company so far and have always paid a claim with little to no questions asked. I don't have any complaints other than the requirements to obtain insurance in the first place are pretty strict and their rates are less than competitive. But then again, with their generous payout if you DO have a loss...well, I can understand the strict guidelines. read more

I'm giving Brian Schiffer's office branch of State Farm 5 stars, but not necessarily 5 for State Farm itself, although I've been pretty happy with the company as a whole. I've used Schiffer's branch for 8 years now and stayed with them when I moved out of the area because I'd had such great service with them, specifically from the administrative assistant Julia(this woman really knows her stuff as do many insurance office "assistants"). She is really on the ball with calling back promptly, researching quotes, helping file claims or deciding whether or not to do so, and is just plain pleasant to work with--such a relief in an industry that has a reputation of being a pain in the arse. Insurance is one of those things you pretty much have to have if you've a car or house (renting or owning) but it is often something people give just about as much scrutiny in selection as they do a gas station at first glance. If you are in the market for a new insurance agent, you might want to give this branch a shot. read more

my girlfriend and i moved into a new apartment with a mutual friend. in the process of signing all of the paperwork, we found out that our friend did not have the proper renters insurance proof for us to move in. we already had 80% of our belongings outside of our new apartment, but they would not give us a key until all the papers were signed and all the insurance paperwork were there. Time was ticking down, and the office was going to close. My gf has her insurance with state farm and brian (and arthur). She got a hold of arthur and he signed our friend up with renters insurance over the phone. but we still needed it physically present. and like a superhero, he drove to our apartment with the papers and we were able to move in. with out his EXCELLENT service, we wouldve been out in the seattle rain with all of our stuff. thanks arthur! read more

Now he has turned the day to day operation to his son Arthur. He is not on his clients side. I have now chosen to leave State Farm all together. If you like State Farm please find another agent.
