I came recently to eat while I was visiting... the food & service were just as amazing as I always remembered. Don't let the location fool you, this place is downright dangerous. Food: Locally sourced, all fresh, all absolutely delicious. From the warm chewy pita served with an awesome tazatziki sauce, the salad, or the mousaka, it's all done to perfection. The mousaka actually melts in your mouth. The pork featured in the souvlaki should be come with a warning. That amount of flavor, tenderness, and juiciness packed in a single bite may cause instant euphoria. I normally don't spend beyond a few words on customer service, but this staff really deserves some praise. Welcoming, attentive, friendly, and warm. You get the sense that each team member genuinely cares about the customers dining experience. Chris' Taverna is full on excellence. Is it hard to tell this is the best Greek food I've ever had? I must have had a really bad 1st experience and I've been meaning to update my review. This is now my go to Greek spot. Tzatziki is pretty good, not the best I've had, but definitely the best anywhere around here! Which is a lot coming from me I always get the chicken gyro with cucumber and feta. Every time I come up here from Miami we always make it a point to have lunch here. Of course now with social distancing it's made things a little different, but they have done such a great job at accommodating to ensure safety. The aromas coming from the mixture of feta and tomatoes along with the fresh taste of the shrimp makes this one of our favorite appetizers. our entrees we got the chicken salad and the chicken santorini. If you're looking for a new Greek restaurant to try, look no further! I went to Chris' Taverna with a couple of friends. I'm not sure how they found this restaurant, but we were all in the mood for Greek/Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant is located in a plaza and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The day we went, there was a tornado warning (we were notified afterwards), and luckily we were seated inside. Our host and waiter were both very friendly, patient, and attentive to our table. The menu has many dishes to choose from, which is a plus because I love having a variety. Some of my friends had been here before and recommended some dishes to me, but in the end, I chose to go with the gyro wrap. While we waited for our meals, the table had an appetizer of pita bread and yogurt, which was great! The pita was fresh and warm, and the yogurt was smooth and cool. These both went so well with each other. The appetizer was also filling; I could've eaten them all and been full lol. Nonetheless, it was great and a table pleaser while we waited. Our meals did not take long to come, and our server kept us satisfied with the endless table appetizer. When our meal came, I was amazed at how everyone's dish looked so good. The dishes in person looked even better than the photos online. I had the gyro wrap with fries as my side. The fries were fresh and hot--just how I like them. I'm usually not the biggest gyro fan, but this restaurant has the BEST gyro I've ever tried. The meat was juicy and tender, full of seasoning, creamy from the Greek yogurt, and huge! I was very pleased with my dish and would order it again and again. I also got to try some of my friends' dishes; one in particular was their lamb chops. Their lamb chops were AMAZING! The lamb chops were so rich and full of savory flavor; I would also get this next time I come. After we enjoyed our meal, it was time to pay, and we were surprised. When we received our bill, we noticed how affordable it was for the amount of food we all ordered. I was very happy about this because I didn't feel like we were overcharged for our food.
