I highly recommend this preschool. Having toured almost every preschool in Glendora, I found that…read morethis one has the biggest, cleanest playground. Since the children play outside every day, it was important to me that my child would never get bored outdoors. I also love the parent-communication app--it lets me see what my child is doing throughout the day, which brightens my own day as well. Thanks to Mrs. Kat's energy and creativity, our little one has developed confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning. We've seen remarkable growth in social skills, language, and fine-motor abilities as our child dives into each weekly theme.

Ms. Kat is a gift straight from Heaven with her warm and Godly approach to childcare, development, and education. She is BEYOND patient and kind, and has an amazingly supportive approach to confronting and guiding little people who are uncertain and trying to navigate the big new world of school. Whether it takes the child 10 minutes or 10 months, she is gentle and patient in helping them find comfort in the independence of being in school. Her empathy for the children goes from the classroom to home, and she's always rooting for her kids to succeed. She was eve biggest blessing as we navigated preschool, and made Foothill Christian the best decision we could have made! Nora, Bob, Martha, Christie, and their entire staff are all angels and welcome the kids with smiles and a joyful spirit each and every day. My granddaughter knows that Jesus loves her thanks greatly to the lessons learned and experiences at Foothill Christian.

Now that we switched, he loves to go to school. The teachers are so nice and patient. The director has basically been there since the beginning. Teachers have been there for years! That tells you a lot about how much they like their jobs. My kid comes hold and says "mom, I want to be kind. We need to serve the community." Ummmm he's 3! He might be ready to start his own podcast because of this school. Oh, and He's counting to ten in Chinese after only 1 month. I can't say enough good things about this place. So sign up! The boys love etiquette class, gardening, and music class; they are learning how to play the recorder. The small class size ensures they don't "slip between the cracks" and are always held accountable for their actions. Since the school day is from 8am until 4pm and I feel confident that their academic education isn't being sacrificed. Another bonus is they have after school care until 6:30 and they do homework and chess class. We don't speak Mandarin at home and I am pleasantly shocked to hear them speak to each other (probably plotting something).

However Ms. Yolanda - whom my daughter affectionately called 'teacher' sometimes - and her staff, were very patient with my daughter. Despite my daughter's neurodivergent traits, her classmates would always greet her with joy, and to me, that's a sign of good students having good teachers who teach them how to be kind and understanding human beings. Communicating with Ms. Yolanda is also a breeze for all you worried parents out there. If you're looking for a God-centered school that prepares your kids for the next step, DCP is for you!

But she was begging me to start going somewhere regularly to see friends. She's incredibly social and was craving that connection. I searched everywhere for a preschool that aligned with our values: * Christ-centered * Clean * Beautiful campus * Loving, small environment I wanted to feel as safe and settled as possible, knowing my child would be in caring hands. That's when I found Discovery Christian Preschool (DCP). They checked every single box at first glance. We've been part of the DCP family for about six months now, and unfortunately, we're having to leave only because of the distance. When I first signed my daughter up, I was freshly postpartum and didn't fully realize just how far the drive would be from our home in DTLA (yes, an hour each way!). But even so, we kept her enrolled because we loved the school so much. During her time here, my daughter enjoyed plenty of playtime with friends, great outdoor time, the most creative crafts, and a nurturing environment that made her excited to return every day. She would end the day saying, "I want to go back to school!" She absolutely thrived. This summer, DCP went above and beyond with an amazing summer program -- water days, snowcones, and a fun spirit week where she got to dress up in the best themed outfits. DCP has been such a God-given gift to our family. Miss Yolanda is a bright light -- the most caring director, who truly loves these children as if they were her own. Her passion for early education and her heart for kids are unmatched. And her teachers (shoutout to Miss Jean!) are so so attentive and amazing with all of the children. I'm heartbroken to leave due to the commute, but so grateful for these past six months. DCP is truly one-of-a-kind, and we will miss it deeply.

My daughter was missing from her class room after lunch. The teacher noted she was missing as soon as she picked up her students from the playground area. My daughter was lost for over 35 minutes before I found out she was missing and I only found once I tried to pick her up from their classroom. The teacher asked me to step in the class and told me they were looking for her but had yet to find her. We proceeded to go see the principal Mrs. Le. Once in the office they were all looking at me blankly and proceeded to tell me they had been unable to find her but they thought she might be in one of the other classrooms. They asked if anyone else had picked her up. My mind was spinning! I proceeded to go look for her at the kindergarten classrooms but no luck on the first classroom. I proceed to the next classroom (I should mention kids were being dismissed to the patent/caregivers while my child was Missing, everyone went about their day as if nothing wrong was happening) Once I went to the second classroom I immediately saw my daughter and called her over. My daughter had been in this class all along although the principal, the aide and the playground guard had gone to this very classroom to look for her (a total of 5 times altogether). HOW COULD THAT TEACHER NOT KNOW SHE HAD AN EXTRA STUDENT?! WHY WAS I NOT NOTIFIED SOONER?!! This could have had a totally different ending (thank God this was not the case) and the school would have been responsible if anything had happened to my daughter. My daughter will not be going back to this school and I highly recommend you not send your kids to this school they are not safe!
