My parents had Christian Brothers put a roof on their house in 2015. There was nothing done correctly which we just found out about. Towards the end of the job we learned the roofer wasnt really a roofer, he told us he was a painter but he knew what he was doing. His workers he picked up downtown in front of the labor pool. In 2016 water was leaking in the house from around the skylight. We called Christian Brothers and Mary Kate insisted the skylights were bad etc. THEY WERE NOT LEAKING BEFORE CHRISTIAN BROTHERS REPLACED THE ROOF. Blamed everyone else except for her company, didnt even want to send anyone out to take a look at it. My mom was having the bathroom widen 3 feet to make it handicap accessible for my dad who is a 23 year USAF veteran and was diagnosed with agent orange from the Vietnam war. The roofer that did the roofing for the 3 foot extension of the house was the first to tell us the roof was improperly installed so to buy some time I placed some sealant around the skylights. Fast forward to present day. Skylights started leaking like a river a month ago so we called USAA, our homeowners insurance company, they sent out their own company and did a complete roof inspection and determined the entire roof was installed incorrectly from crooked shingles, to nails backing back out of the shingles, to NO FLASHING AROUND THE SKYLIGHTS OR CHIMNEY, to the weave valleys not being done correctly and all they did was put tar or sealant down the weave valley to keep it from leaking. The cost to USAA was 3800.00 so far which they are going after Christian Brothers to get reimbursement, I wish them luck on that since Christian Brothers owner has at least 24 liens against him and has filed bankruptcy at least once. If anyone else is having issues with Christian Brothers email me at fuma1986@earthlink.net to possibly start a class action lawsuit. If we prove fraud, which we can since they were a fly by night business in North Carolina and they dont honor their 10 year warranty, we can go after both Rick Olson and Mary Kate Bryan personally as their LLC wont protect them in fraud cases. UPDATE: I HAVE ADDED PROOF WHICH INCLUDES A FEW OF THE 120 PICTURES I HAVE GATHERED FROM 3 DIFFERENT ROOFING COMPANIES. i HAVE ALSO ATTACHED THE REPORT FROM USAA DENYING COVERAGE TO GET THE ROOF AND SKYLIGHTS REPAIRED DUE TO CHRISTIAN BROTHERS IMPROPER INSTALLATION/FAULTY WORKMANSHIP AS WELL AS ANOTHER REPORT FROM A DIFFERENT ROOFER AS TO SOME OF THE ISSUES. i HAVE BLACKED OUT PERSONAL DETAILS. read more

I have a dim view of many companies that do house repairs because they frequently charge ridiculous rates and often try to take advantage of people like me (older women who are widowed). Christian Brothers Roofing is the one exception. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I first called and talked to Barry (the general manager). He seemed straight forward and honest about what they could do and their pricing. I have had an off and on again roof leak in the same place near a chimney for years despite replacing my roof seven years ago. Even with that company's supposed 20-year guarantee they did not want to repair this leak after two years which is why I looked for another company. Christian Brothers sent Tyson who specializes in this type of repair. He was clean cut, articulate, honest, and skilled. He even took the time to go in my attic and take pictures which no one else had done before. He had warned me that I might have to have a chimney expert also come based on what he saw at first. In the end, it appeared he was able to completely fix the leak himself and he felt no other work was required. I also have a problem that might be from the roof but also might be due to a gutter problem. He felt it could only be diagnosed if he could see it when it was raining. He actually told me the next time it rained he would sit outside my house and try to determine what was happening and then make recommendations to their gutter guy who would then come and fix it. (Have you ever heard of anyone offering to do this?) Ashley in the office was pleasant and accommodating as well. I asked Tyson about the company's name and he said years ago the two founders were in a church setting and they decided to start this company, hence the name. After working with them, I believe the church would approve of their name. I doubt that I will ever use a different roofing company again. read more

A little while back a roofing company (I don't remember the name) came up to me while I was outside. Normally I don't respond to businesses who knock on my door, but I let them inspect my roof because I have seen some houses in the area have roofs replaced because of a storm. They inspected and said I had some hail damage and other damage, so, as I always do, I investigated the company, and was not impressed with reviews so instead I found Christian Brothers based on reviews on yelp. I reached out to them and scheduled an inspection with them. The receptionist was very nice and professional. Shane Lively was the inspector who came out to my house. He called an hour a ahead of time to give me a better idea of when he would be arriving. And it was within the original scheduled time span. When he arrived, he was very professional and friendly, and he discussed what he was going to do, So he inspected the roof and then came back down to discuss it with me. Turns out that there was not enough damage to file a claim with the insurance, and he gave me some helpful advice, and said that the roof had 3 or 4 more years. He warned me about letting roofers in general inspect the roof as they sometimes tamper with roof to make it appear like there is wind damage. We are extremely happy with our experience having Barry and the Christian Brothers team replace our roof. It starts with the estimates I got from all the big companies you see / hear on commercials and having the sales rep go above and beyond to understand my needs. We had some unique requests due to having new windows and siding installed around the roof replacement and every question or request was promptly addressed. There was a long delay with the delivery of the windows and Barry worked to ensure their work fit into my schedule. On the day of the work, both the sales rep and the quality lead were on site to ensure the crew understood the specifics of the work and to ensure the materials I requested got installed and completed. I am so impressed with the oversight of the job (was there the entire time!) and attention to detail that everyone had to make sure I had the best roof possible. I had a leak around a vent in my roof. I called a number of companies and got voicemails, confusing answers with long waits for an appointment. Christian brothers answered the phone and schedule an intermediate inspection. They were friendly knowledgeable, articulate and attentive. Today two gentlemen from the company showed up on site prepared to do the work and in uniform. They were informative and attentive and explained the problem to me in detail and fixed immediately. They also inspected the rest of the roof and to my surprise that it was in great shape and no other work needed to be done. Great company start to finish. My insurance company only wanted to pay for 1/2 a roof, Gennadi and Chris went to bat for me and dealt with them. After a second inspection, it was approved. Very professional all the way. Chandler was at my house at 6:30 am to review with me the whole process, it went off with out a hitch. The whole crew was there and started the removal at 7:30, by 2 pm, they were done. have a dog ,so I was very concerned about any debris, especially (nails), they cleaned up the whole mess. The people at Christian Brothers Roofing were exceptional. The office staff and initial consultation were great, and the roofing crew arrived when scheduled and did great repairs. The one issue I had initially was the after-work cleanup (there was some debris that was left behind), but when I notified the company, they responded immediately and had a representative come out and make sure things were cleaned up and taken care of. Fantastic experience from start to finish! The initial quote was detailed and the estimator explained the process fully. There was rain that delayed the project one day but they communicated everything proactively so I didn't wonder when they were going to show up. I really appreciated Chris coming out and looking at my roof I called several company's who turned their noses up or left a card at my doorstep and never returned on how my house looked.
