I contacted Christian Roofing Inc., along with three other roofing contractors, to request an estimate on a complete roof replacement. The tile roof was the original roof from 1978 (initial house construction) and was in desperate need of replacement. All four roofing contractors provided near identical pricing for both tile and shingle replacement. Christian Roofing owner, Shawn Preman, however, seemed to go the extra mile by spending additional time explaining different roofing options, potential upgrades, and providing multiple shingle/tile samples. Once we decided on new tile replacement, he again allotted more time to explain the differences in tile types/styles in addition to providing tile samples so we could color match to the existing exterior house paint/stucco. Christian Roofing also provided a more than reasonable estimate on the sealing/weatherproof coating of an attached flat sun room roof and the replacement of structural beam/beam supports to the front overhang. The pricing for this additional work was also reasonable and fell below the costing provided by the other estimates. The roof replacement was started at the time promised and completed over an approximate five day period. This time frame also included the time required for the additional sun room/overhang work. Shawn kept me continuously informed on the roof tear down/replacement and of any additional problems/costs encountered (of which there were few). His roofing crew was efficient, courtesy, and at the end of each day ensured that the work area was left clean. All new wood surfaces were primed and painted (we supplied the paint) and the job was completed in the time expected. Bottom line is that I could not be happier with the work that was completed and with Christian Roofing for performing the work. The new roof looks great and I'm looking forward to many years without worrying about roof repairs/leaks. Shawn was on time for every scheduled appointment and ensured that the job was started on time, done correctly, and completed on time. One of the best aspects of working with Christian Roofing is that I was informed on every aspect of the work being completed. I also had the feeling that they sincerely cared about doing a good job and in making the customer satisfied. The commercial project involved a 1970s-era commercial building with long-term deferred maintenance issues that became more apparent during the roof tear-off process. As sections of the existing roof were removed, additional deteriorated plywood, damaged sheathing, and other aging components were discovered that required adjustments to the scope of work along the way. Christian Roofing handled these challenges professionally and worked collaboratively through changing conditions, escrow coordination, payment limitations, and project logistics. Shawn Preman, the owner of the company, is a quality individual and clearly a hard worker who takes pride in his business and reputation. During a brief scheduling delay caused by weather and other projects backing up, Shawn personally contacted us, communicated professionally, and worked through the situation very well. That level of accountability was appreciated. The front office staff was gracious throughout the project, and Office Manager Araceli Guerrero was outstanding to work with. We had to navigate different payment methods and escrow-related limitations, and she remained patient, understanding, responsive, and extremely helpful throughout the process. Chad Fuller provided a detailed estimate and excellent documentation regarding the deferred maintenance and existing roof conditions, which was very helpful for project coordination and decision-making. Alfonso, the Project Manager, communicated well throughout construction and consistently provided progress updates and photographs, even though I was personally on site many days during the project. In addition to the commercial roofing work, Christian Roofing also completed Spanish tile roof replacement work at our family residence, which is a 40-year-old home. Their crews took exceptional care to protect the property, landscaping, and surrounding areas during construction. Anyone who owns an older home understands the importance of having a contractor who works carefully and respectfully around aging materials and structures, and their team absolutely did. This is my first new roof experience and I can't say enough about how great Christian Roofing has been during this process. The best experience from the beginning to the end and everywhere in between. They have excellent office staff with exceptional customer service skills. The roof staff were great and such hard workers.(Thank you Manny, David, Jesus, Juan, Edwardo and John.) I made cookies for them one day and they were so appreciative of such a little thing. They did a really good job cleaning up each and every day. It was like they were never there. Here are a few other things I appreciated about them. * all staff extremely professional * Shawn the owner was great to work with and wasn't bothered by my many questions. * Crew Supervisor John was great & touched based with me many times throughout the day. The staff readjusted (at no charge) my rain gutters that were improperly installed. * I overheard the City of La Mesa roof inspector say more than one "nice job" as he walked across my roof. * Everything they said they would do, they did. * I really liked that they did not subcontract out any of the work. It's common for companies to sub out the removal of a roof by a 3rd party. That's a good question to ask when ever you are having any work done on your roof or home for that matter. My experience with Christian Roofing was totally positive. I contacted several other companies that failed to call me back or follow through in getting my 25 year old tiled roof recovered/tarpaper (as I call it). After looking numerous reviews of various roofing companies I settled on Christian Roofing based on the numerous positive reviews of the company. We settled on a date for them to begin work a few months in advanced and they began work on the exact day as promised. Unfortunately, their start date coincided with the start of a 5 day heat wave, but the workers worked hard nonetheless (I really felt bad for the guys!). They were always courteous to my wife and myself and cleaned up the grounds after they were done each day. Additionally, a supervisor came out each day to my knowledge to check on the work and kept me apprised of any changes or delays. I was told the work would only take three days, but I knew it would take at least a week after having watched other roofers do the same work on other houses in my neighborhood. It did take a full week to do, but again, I expected that. There were no surprises in additional costs for unexpected work or supplies needed once it was all done. I'm sure they could have told me various things or wood work needed to be replaced or repaired and I wouldn't have known the difference, but that was not the case. I found this company to be very honest with me about what was needed to be fixed and what didn't. Christian Roofing just installed my new roof and a Solar System. To say I'm thrilled is an understatement!!! From start to finish and generating solar power it was Ten days! I never imagined that it would be this easy! What amazed me is that the only thing that shows on the outside of my home is the red label attached to my existing electric service panel. Nothing else shows on the outside of my home! I have neighbors that have conduit and big boxes on the outside of their homes, mine only has a label on the electric panel. Natalie and Christian set up my Wi-Fi and I am having fun (while saving money) looking at my phone app and on my computer looking at the power I'm using and the power my system is generating and it shows I'm slightly over producing power that I can use later! I don't have an electric vehicle but they installed a box inside the garage so when the day comes for an EV I'll be ready!!! I have worked with Shawn for over 20 years when I was doing property management. He has repaired and replaced many types of roofs for me over the years and he has repaired or replaced many of my neighbors roofs and they have all been very happy with their jobs! Within a day of contacting Christian Roofing, we had a schedule for our free roofing estimate. The salesman showed up on time and listened to our needs then gave his recommendations. After a nightmare experience with Honor Guard roofing, I was determined to find another company. Received several references from close friends. However, when I did my homework I wasn't impressed with any negative feedback-no matter how small. I read through numerous on-line reviews of many companies, but Christian Roofing came out heads above with a 99.9% approval rating. It is always unsettling to put your faith in a new company without personal references. But that is just what we did. We never looked back. We had many issues with where the previous roofer left off on new addition and where the old roof began. We are thrilled with Christian roofing and their attention to detail. Our install date had been scheduled weeks in advance, so when rain was predicted we were worried. (Honor Guard left us high and dry to cover gaping holes in roof with plastic.) Christian Garcia was recommended to me by a friend, in my opinion word of mouth speaks volumes. He was very prompt with his quotes, emails, texts and phonecalls during the process. He gave me multiple quotes based on differnt options I inquired about. His prices were competitive for the industry and seemed more than reasonable, which was important since my homeowners insurance wasn't involved. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions. He and his crew did an amazing job on the roof and were thorough with the cleanup process as well I have not found one nail. I had him add on a roof to my existing back porch and he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the results. It looks seemless as far as the connection to the roof and shingles. I had a minor leaking on the roof covering my garage. I contacted Christian Roofing to estimate the repairs, he came the next day and looked at my garage roof. I liked the estimate and signed the paperwork for the repairs. it took about three weeks for the work to begin as I have tile roofs so I did not mind the wait as they ordered the correct materials for my repairs. A team arrived and immediately went to work and removed the old roof tiles and stripped the roof down to the plywood and made the repairs and put new tiles back into place. Once the garage roof was done the team went and made some repairs in my house roof. The work was completed in about six hours and the team was very professional and cleaned up all their work. We had an outstanding experience using Christian Roofing to repair a roof leak. Of three estimates Christian was the most expensive, yet offered, by far, the longest warranty, 10 years, which was an important benefit to me. Our roof leak appeared during the heavy rain season with water leaking into our home onto our hardwood floors. Christian Roofing immediate took action to cover a large portion of our roof with a tarp to prevent more water coming into our home as an interim measure until they could schedule our repair. The interim fix worked perfectly, then exactly on schedule their crew came to do the permanent repair. Everything went smoothly and exactly as they had represented. Sean gave a roofing estimate to my elderly mother several years ago. I was very impressed with all the information he provided her with his bid. At the time she ended up not getting a new roof. Fast forward to September 2015 when it was finally time the roof couldn't wait any longer. Sean still had her information. We got two estimates and decided to go with Christian Roofing. We also requested quotes from two other well-rated roofers but did not complete even the quote stage because we were not comfortable with our interactions. We chose Christian Roofing and from start to finish we were happy - all employees were responsive, courteous and professional (Mario and his crew that did the work were excellent), the price was fair, and they did a great job putting a new dress on an old house. My experience with Christian Roofing and their staff was always professional and complete. We replaced the roof in 2019 and added solar panels, then replaced a patio roof in 2025. Recommendations and pricing were reasonable and clearly explained. The lead person, the foreman, communicated with us throughout the process,, sent pictures of any problem areas that needed to be addressed in the replacement. We were satisfied with the whole process from bid to roof replacement.They installed back in September. The crew and super handled professional. we now have a new roof, more vents, all the rotted wood has been replaced from roof sheets to faca boards. The longest delay was getting the contracted solar company (not christian roofing) to remove the panels asap. It was 6 weeks for removal and replacement.
