If you have a wedding dress that needs altering, look no further. Seriously it's a waste of your time to go to anybody that isn't Christina. She would be worth driving an hour and a half for, so if you're in the Bay Area and need a seamstress for your wedding gown, consider her your BEST option. She has all 5 star reviews (except for that person that didn't like her voicemail system). I left her house agreeing that she deserves every single one of those 5 stars. I had a fit issue with my secondhand dress. We emailed (which I love! No need to wait until business hours to call -- which I always space and forget to do) and she offered that even though she couldn't take me on as one of her brides (her schedule fills this time of year! (spring)) she was willing to consult with me. I'm a seamstress myself (hobby) so we spoke the same language. She showed me her ideas on how I could very simply adjust the length and advised on best practices for my fabric type. She did it all for free! I was so grateful. What an angel. Plus I could tell she really knows her stuff. When some seamstresses would avoid things because it's too much work (like letting out narrow side seams to increase the size), she wants the best for her clients and is always willing to find a solution. What's perhaps more valuable though than her generosity: her presence. I was so at ease, felt so cared for, in such good hands. Her sweet little space is gorgeous, and being in her grounded and gentle presence was such a breath of fresh air after all the pompousness of bridal salons and dress shopping. I honestly left in a puddle, like melted butter, after receiving such attuned care from Christina. I wish my doctors and dentists and EVERYONE could be more like her. Don't even know where to start! Christina is amazing! After working with her, I honestly do not think I could trust anyone else do alterations on a dress as important as my wedding dress. I was so fortunate to find her! Her attention to detail is incredible. She makes sure everything is absolutely perfect and adds little touches and details that I wouldn't even think to ask for. The bustle that she did on my dress was beautiful. She mirrored some of the buttons and applique from other parts of the dress that it blended more beautifully than I thought possible. Her priority is to make sure that you are happy with how the dress fits and that you are happy with the progress. She won't let you leave until you are sure (and she is sure) things are progressing the way you want and that the fit is exactly how it should be! She is quick and easy to communicate with - she texts which is super convenient and helpful! I wasn't completely in love with my wedding dress when I bought it - it didn't fit perfect, but by the time Christina was done with it, I never wanted to take it off! I actually had my dress made locally but it still needed to be taken in, the straps had to be attached, the zipper had to be fixed, etc. Christina was so meticulous in making sure everything was perfect. Oh my goodness! If you are reading this then stop looking for a wedding seamstress now, you found her! Christina is so amazing. I walked into Christina's house no longer liking my wedding dress, I mean seriously did not like it (imagine the tears and all).
