This might be the worst customer service and just service in general that I have ever received. The bride and I both brought our dresses to Laurie. She seemed so sweet. She tells you she can do things that she is clearly not qualified for. Says she has a background in costuming for theatre, which tugs at my heart strings as my oldest has been in theatre for forever. The screenshots tell you all that you need to know so I will be brief. In January the wedding dress was dropped off. She ripped out the back of the brides dress saying she could do everything the bride asked for. Then said the dress was ready for pick up (Aug 2 well passed when a bride should have their dress back from alterations) but when we showed up all the pins were still in it. It hadn't even been hemmed. The back (and butt) were ripped out and a piece of transparent lace was sewn in its place, crooked and bunched in areas. No way to fasten the dress. She had removed the boning. The bride text her after we left asking her to please stop working on the dress and she would come back and pick up. Laurie decided to "put the dress back together" then charge the bride for alterations she didn't do. My dress was supposed to be ready by Aug 1 at the latest (I'm the MOH) I showed up to pick it up and she had only taken in one side of the dress and sewn the seam backwards...it even had pockets and now one was facing backwards! The straps were so short that I could barely get my arms through, and so much more was wrong with it that the list is just too long. She swore she'd fix it and it would be done in a day or two. Nope. She just kept putting me off. I finally text just telling her that I need my dress back. I'm at the point where I've purchased another dress because I had no idea if she would finish it. I no longer have time to get the bride's approval on my dress. The wedding is in 4 days. No apology. No accountability. No compassion. And she's still charging full price for services that she didn't do as agreed upon. Now she says she will be selling our dresses. This woman is not a seamstress. She's a scam artist.

My husband needed his suit altered so we stopped in one afternoon. The owner greeted us warmly and after examining the garment, she said she could have it ready the following Friday. I was pleasantly surprised she could do the work so quickly. Amy is honest and will tell you what she can and cannot do. She did a beautiful job on my husband's suit. The total she charged was reasonable as well. We are appreciative of her kind, friendly and helpful demeanor and I know I will be dropping off any dry cleaning to her in the future. I noticed she advertises organic dry cleaning. I'm not sure what exactly that means but I like that they are committed to organic cleaning practices since dry cleaning can use some harsh chemicals. To start on a positive note, I found the location and hours of operation worked well with my work schedule. The young woman/assistant who works in store was also pleasant to work with and helpful with coordinating time for me drop off the dress and have measurements done. My negative experience came from the seamstress who worked on my dress. When I first came in for my measurements I was a little thrown off by the cold attitude of the seamstress while taking my measurements. I brushed off my inital interaction with her as a possibility that she was having a bad day until I experienced this cold attitude from her again when picking up my dress. Both times I interacted with her she barely acknowledged my presence in the shop. Didn't say hello and didn't directly address me, just her assistant. When my dress was finally done a week later I went in for pick up and I tried on my altered dress. I noticed obvious and noticeable flaws in the stitching. I kindly asked to have the stitching fixed before I left. The seamstress again didn't acknowledge my presence or speak to me directly about the stitching just the young woman at the register. Eventually, she made the requested alterations on the spot and I took the dress home. I ended up finding more flaws in the stitching once I got home but these were minor and In my opinion not a reason to bring the dress back to the shop. To sum up my experience, for the price point of my service I would have appreciated more attention to detail and kinder customer service from the seamstress.
