Ordered online and they never hit send. However, we only waited an extra 10 minutes for food. The staff were quite nice and got our order sorted quickly. The restaurant had a cozy and warm vibe. Food was great, I ordered the polish platter had everything I wanted to try. The potato and cheese pierogies were phenomenal. The cabbage roll was flavorful and the pickled cabbage was addictive. I'd definitely come back and dine in!

The spicy beef pierogis are amazing. Fast and kind server and reasonable prices. I only got an app and a beer, but very much enjoyed the experience.

The salad that came with my order. Ridiculous

I ordered chicken cutlet with egg mushroom and salad. No egg. No mushroom. And take a look at the side salad. Never again. And I'm polish. Embarrassing

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I stopped by the neighborhood and wanted to take advantage of the outdoor dining area on a nice day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The fried pierogies were amazing, absolutely perfect with the sauteed onions and sour cream. I loved the lazanki pasta, it was the perfect texture and the mushrooms complemented the dish so well. And the service was polite and attentive.

I saw a couple pointing and nodding, so I asked, is this place amazing? They said yes. We were sold. We were wanting a drink and conveniently, they had a bar. Polish beer and incredible Polish cabbage on the way to meet friends for dinner at another restaurant? Duh!! Im Jewish - not religious - but it's important because beef/rice is the norm in my world. Karczma makes a pork version which was so so good. Big fat pieces. Thick, perfectly wrapped cabbage. Juicy, flavorful filling. The sauce was bright with tomato flavor. The wagon wheel decor was a curveball, but the warm and comfy vibe in the restaurant is what mattered most. We loved it.

I got the schnitzel (breaded chicken cutlet) and it came with a side of coleslaw and mashed potatoes. You used to be able to pick two sides, but anyway... There was zero seasoning in the whole dish. The coleslaw tasty like nothing. It was full of mayo but tasted like nothing. The chicken was super dry and tasted like it had been fried yesterday and then heated in the microwave. The mashed potatoes had an annoying amount of chopped dill on top, but no salt. The biggest sadness came when I tasted the pickle soup. It is a shadow of its former self. It is light on pickles and full of under-cooked potato cubes. It was badder than bad. What is going on here? SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH!

We were the only people in the restaurant the entire time, though there were a few delivery orders. The restaurant has a homey interior, with callouts to their historic presence in Bay Ridge. We ordered the chicken klopsiki ($15.65) and the Hungarian pancakes ($20). Each dish comes with a house salad, which consists of red cabbage, sauerkraut, cole slaw, beets, shredded carrots, and lettuce. The salad had nice flavors and tasted fresh! I really enjoyed the chicken klopsiki, which is a chicken meatball. The meatball was moist, and the sauce had a nice flavor, like chicken soup. The only downside was that the mashed potatoes had no flavor and tasted like powdered mashed potatoes. I liked the flavor of the Hungarian pancakes, but the ratio of pancake to filling was heavily skewed toward the pancake, which was just fried potato with minimal flavor. Therefore, I would pass on the pancakes and just get the goulash if I decided to return. Service was okay. When I asked the server for recommendations, she wasn't enthusiastic, but I was asking generally, and I could have been more specific. She left during our meal, and we had to call someone to give us the check. So after giving us the food, service was nonexistent. Overall, I liked some parts of the dishes, but nothing was so amazing that I would be itching to return again!

I have to say at first I wasn't too fond on getting something but I'm glad I did. The food was very tasty and delicious. I love the different options of vegetables that come with the dish and that's coming from someone who isn't the biggest fan of certain vegetables.

The server was friendly and helpful with my questions on the menu. I got the Bryndzové which is their traditional Pierogi. I got it prepared as recommended, which is boiled and with bacon. It was tasty! The bacon definitely adds a salty bite to mellow out the richness of the pierogi. I was worried the sheep cheese would be too pungent, but it wasn't. The filling I chose only comes as a full order of 9. If you are torn between a couple choices, I would do two half orders of 5. On the side I got their Fresh Cut Fries. These were excellent. I love a fry, and these checked every box for me. They were well salted though. If you have any aversion to salt, I would ask for light salt. Hoping to return again before my Brooklyn trip is over - there's several more I want to try!

Once stepping into the store, you are met with large freezers and fridges stuffed to the brim with all things Ukrainian. Many of their dumpling items are in large packages (2-3lbs a pack) and range from $8-$15 per lb depending on the filling. $15 a pound for their lamb and short rib Pierogis. Price-wise, it's very fair! And you can taste to quality and heart they put into these Pierogis. Can't go wrong with any flavor. I got the lamb and it was stuffed with tender lamb pieces, no filler. And they make for great quick meals! I also snagged a box of cabbage rolls stuffed with a pork and rice filling. Simple home-y flavor and better than rolls I've gotten from restaurants. Just reheat and it's ready to go! $15 for 5 large cabbage rolls was a great deal as well! Would get again. The only thing I wouldn't get again is their soup dumplings, as it was a bit difficult to cook and was a little too doughy near the top of the dumpling. Flavor wise, it was delicious and had a nice broth (assuming you didn't pop them. Only 1 didn't pop). But it was a difficult item to cook right in boiling water, like the instructions mention. Perhaps, user error. Every item is sold by weight and labeled after selecting your items. But they're happy to check the weight/explain price before purchasing.
