5 stars, cause this place needs to be known. Deli, Homemade Hot Food, polish grocery. Their 'Take-out Hot Food' is some of the best food in the neighborhood and I am so excited to come back! There is an amazing team of people in the back are cranking out authentic Polish food all day. Honestly, I have no idea what I ordered, I just pointed to things and they all ended up being delicious. There is this cabbage wrapped meat/rice thing that reminds me of something my mom made me when I was a kid. Delicious! Cheese and mushroom over breaded chicken - rich and homey! Ground Pork Polish Meatball = yes. There is a dill flavored cabbage cole-slaw type of side dish that I really enjoyed, the makings of slaw but without the mayonnaise! I will find out the names of these things and get back to y'all Yelpers!

Amazing! I got a huge, delicious dinner takeout box stuffed with golubtsi, mashed potatoes, dill cabbage slaw, and beet salad. It was amazing and delicious! And it was just ten bucks for a huge box! If I lived here, I would be a regular!

Great selection of authentic Polish food.

If you're looking for fast, authentic Polish food for take out - this is the best spot in Ridgewood. It is a small Polish deli/buffet, and quite tight inside during busy times. The food is made on premises daily and served seven days a week, late into the evening (8pm). The pricing is great, you could get a full meal for around $7. Additionally, they have a huge selection of Polish deli products, meats and cold cuts.

    Yum!

Food is pretty good, especially the pierogi. Sides are also very good as is the chicken soup. Great spot for homemade food.

Once stepping into the store, you are met with large freezers and fridges stuffed to the brim with all things Ukrainian. Many of their dumpling items are in large packages (2-3lbs a pack) and range from $8-$15 per lb depending on the filling. $15 a pound for their lamb and short rib Pierogis. Price-wise, it's very fair! And you can taste to quality and heart they put into these Pierogis. Can't go wrong with any flavor. I got the lamb and it was stuffed with tender lamb pieces, no filler. And they make for great quick meals! I also snagged a box of cabbage rolls stuffed with a pork and rice filling. Simple home-y flavor and better than rolls I've gotten from restaurants. Just reheat and it's ready to go! $15 for 5 large cabbage rolls was a great deal as well! Would get again. The only thing I wouldn't get again is their soup dumplings, as it was a bit difficult to cook and was a little too doughy near the top of the dumpling. Flavor wise, it was delicious and had a nice broth (assuming you didn't pop them. Only 1 didn't pop). But it was a difficult item to cook right in boiling water, like the instructions mention. Perhaps, user error. Every item is sold by weight and labeled after selecting your items. But they're happy to check the weight/explain price before purchasing.

I had a group dinner here for my parents and my boyfriend's mother to meet for the first time. This is perhaps not the perfect location for this type of thing, as it was extremely loud in the restaurant. Despite being very busy, the hostess made sure we had a comfortable table to sit at and were not too cramped. As expected, the beer selection is great and I enjoyed my Berliner Weisse very much. I ordered the goulash and kasespaetzle. The goulash was rich, well seasoned and filling. The spaetzle was soft and creamy, covered in lots of flavorful aged cheese with salty bacon bits and sweet onion. A very rich dish. Although I didn't technically order an entree, I still found myself pleasantly full at the end of the meal. The rest of my dining companions ordered either the schnitzel or the wurstplatte. All seemed very pleased with their food, and some even had leftovers to bring home due to large portions. This restaurant is certainly a fun spot to come, reservations recommended. There's a reason they've been open for so long.

A quick look from the outside, we'll, it looks like some kind of place where they keep really historic things and serious beers. Also outside are these big blue awnings, not trying to be all fancy, probably for weddings where locals use a side I've never been. The inside has got this big old wood bar and a few tired ceiling fans above. It looks like the kind of place where old and young, guys and gals go to eat, drink and make merry. The Queens Chronicle has a picture posted inside '100 years of good cheer,' it says. So I ordered all this German grub and our it came all at once, all laid out looking absolutely delicious. Just look at the giant pretzel. It's sitting there with some wonderful yellow cheese dip, and the platters of sausages, potato pancakes, and sauerkraut, it's all so heavy and seriously yummy. They've even got a bunch of beer bottles lined up under these little blue lights, like they're trying to match the blue awnings, I loved the look myself, i love anything that reminds me of Christmas. The dessert with the massive meringue on top of a brownie. No fancy, phony presentation just incredible, hearty stuff that knocks your taste buds out of the park. The cabbage salad was lightly pickled and very flavorful with oil, while the fresh salad was simpler but crisp and refreshing.
