Christina just opened up the new location after being closed since December and i'm so happy that they're back! The atmosphere is wonderful in the new location. Very cozy. The owner is a wonderful woman who's extremely sweet and totally makes you feel at home. She even opened the doors for me and my family when they were closed. The food is fantastic. I've been to many different greek restaurants including jimmy the greek but christina's beats them all. The tzatziki is perfect as well as their gyros. Owner was very nice and friendly, she greeted us and made us feel welcome. But the waitress was confused and kept making mistakes and writing things on the wrong check....it took 15 minutes to order! Appetizers were wonderful....hot bread and delicious dips. Main entre listed as Chicken marsala: A small sad bowl arrived with spaghetti, maybe one mushroom, a few small cubes of chicken breast, and a watery salty broth......This dish was such a disappointment I could not even eat much, even though I was hungry. Desert was a delicious mouse cake, but Very small portion on small plate.....obvious that presentation is terrible here. Much drama and confusion when two guests wanted to use their groupon voucher, and others asked for the "early bird special".....after twice running back to ask the owner, we were told that because we were 8 people at one table, we all had to abide by the same rules, which means EITHER everyone ordered from the ealyrbird menu, or EVERYONE use the groupon.....but the one couple who wanted to order from the full price menu and use their groupon was not allowed! We were the only guests at 6pm on a Friday night.....that should have been our tip off. read more

Was our first time here and we were not disappointed. Small clean place with dim lights, cozy and comfortable. Menu as you would expect at the greek cafe. We ordered saganaki for an appetizer, which was a nice show along with great taste. For the main course we had sea bass with capers/ lemon sauce and greek meatball platter, both were very delicious. This place was so delicious. Very quiet and cozy inside, and the food was excellent, Christina really knows what she's doing. We got the saganaki, which was killer. My only complaint, and this is just the reality of new businesses, is they were a little overbearing about getting us to tell our friends/like on social media/go out and advertise. This is always a turn off to me, as if I enjoy myself, I'll review and tell my friends. Once I've patronized you, I think it would be more effective to show me a good time than to ensure that I'm going to come back and have a good time NEXT time. Hopefully it will get better as they get established, but I will definitely be back regardless. read more

I just left this place, and will never go back! Waitress was slow, not attentive and forgetful. Food not good, but here's the best. We get our bill and they added a tip and we're told because we paid with a groupon they add 18 percent, which explains the terrible service, because the waitress already knew she was getting a nice tip regardless of her service! They also charged extra for 2 extra pieces of pita bread, Pathetic!!! The owner came out and started a scene when I questioned their tactics. The place was empty not surprised! I was told that the tip is added because most people leave a $1 tip so they assume that everyone leaves poor tips! The owner is a very poor business person and has very little social skills hence the restaurant being completely empty. Prices very high and quality of food very poor IMO. Customer service in a restaurant business is essential for it's success. While the food here was decent; Christina was extremely rude to our party. She argued with my friend, yes ARGUED!!! because she misunderstood the order. Do not share plates unless you want to pay a $5 sharing charge. And be careful because she calculates 18% tip in your bill and charges tax after the total with the tip. We've eaten from her before but based on this experience I will NEVER!! come back. No wonder she keeps changing locations. There are more enjoyable dining experiences to be had in another more welcoming restaurant. read more

The service was very good. I was disappointed to find out that the lamb chops are no longer on the menu. Apparently, the menu on the restaurant's website and the actual menu differ.The food was good. I had a very nice glass of Merlot. We each had a chicken dish. All three were good and flavorful. The sucker punch came when my friend asked for pita bread (to eat with her salad). She was told there is an additional charge for the pita. Really??? I buy a package of 6 for under $2.00. When she said to forget about it, she was given the bread on the house. I took my two teenagers here because we had a Groupon to spend $60 for four people. I opted to buy the Groupon for $60 instead of $30 because I felt we would spend that much. I was right! The menu was extremely expensive but the portion size very measly. We ordered a special appetizer of eggplant dip because the waitress suggested it. It was less than average in flavor and very skimpy as well. The hummus was tasty but there also was not much to the serving---I am used to getting larger portion sizes anywhere else we've been. We ordered three dinners (2 were dinner salads) and two appetizers which came to $70. When I presented my Groupon voucher I was told that since there were only three of us we weren't eligible! I offered to order another dinner to go, and was told that this still wouldn't make us eligible because the Groupon stated that we had to eat it in. At this point I asked to speak to the owner hoping to politely reason with her. She was very rude stating that the coupon was for four people and there were only three of us and that she hadn't even had dinner yet because she had been cooking for us!!! She was clearly trying to come up with an excuse to not let us use our Groupon Voucher. What bad business. This woman who is Greek evidently knows nothing about good old American customer service and how to keep your business successful! (PS, business was dead) A waste of time and money, plus a big disappointment. I'm not sure why there is a single positive review for this restaurant . Yikes. Please excuse the long review but I just left and need to be specific. Where do I start? I guess at the beginning. My boyfriend and I were at the new brewery down the block (26 degrees. Amazing, by the way). We were hungry and didn't want to drive. We were approached by, who I assume was a manager, as we were looked through menus on the table. She then gave us a 10% off coupon which was in every paper menu. We sat and were approached by a waitress. At this time, she took our paper menus away and handed us more expensive menus. The other menus were lunch menus, she told us. We should have walked at that point. However, we were hungry and didn't want to drive anywhere. I should also mention it was 8:30 on a Friday night in a busy strip and there was only one other table besides us. Shocking. My boyfriend ordered the falafel platter which consisted of six greasy falafel balls, a teeny cup of generic store bought hummus, and a HUGE serving of uncle bens rice. Also. An iceberg lettuce salad dubbed Greek salad. I ordered the calamari app (greasy and un memorable) as well as saganaki ( delicious but how hard is it to fry cheese). Although overpriced ( at $53) and disappointing, we thought, whatever at least we have a coupon. When paying the check, our waitress returned and apologized that the coupon they gave us only an hour earlier, would not be honored. Apparently this coupon is only good for a future visit. Despite them giving it to us to entice us to sit and the coupon not mentioning ANYTHING about future use. She was apologetic and we asked to speak to a manager. She returned and told us the owner was here but refused to speak to us because she was too busy. There was still only one other table. We were shocked. The manager who originally gave us the coupon apologized profusely. The waitress offered to pay the 10% out of her own pocket. Unacceptable we told her. She would be fully tipped and was not responsible for this! At this time, the owner finally came out. What a rude person. She somehow tried to defend this by saying her wait staff made a mistake. I said fine but nothing on the coupon said anything about future dining. She continued to argue that it was just common sense and we could use it for future purchases. Even though this coupon was enclosed in every menu. I should reiterate that this was only a matter of $5. However, this woman disgusted me. I told her to keep her coupon and we would not return. I just Tried the New (7 Table) Christina's Grill and I couldn't have been more pleased! The Food was Incredible and I felt like I had a personal Chef cooking for me. The new Open Kitchen concept is really cool and I loved being in such a small place. My Grilled Lamb Chops were Perfect and so fresh. The grilled Summer Veggies were surprisingly delish also. My Wife had the Grouper Fish Special with Garlic mas and asparagus and it was Awsome! We split a bottle of White wine ($28) and it was a blast. definitely a Forward step in the right direction for The Greek Concept we have all missed since closing the old location and building the new place. Christina is still the same ornery Chef as she always has been and Its nice to see that Non Corporate Place opening in the neighborhood. Thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of wine, scallops in a citrus vinaigrette, and sea bass in a white sauce! Everything was lovely-- from the food to the service to the warm treatment of my 19 month old that dined with us (and *loved* the chicken and rice that was prepared for him)! From the min. you walk in, you are treated very well by the professional serving staff--ours who had worked with Christina for over 4yrs. was efficient, polite & would always keep us updated & never made us feel rushed. The location only seats about 7-8 tables, so plan accordingly. BTW the photos depicted by some are old--the restaurant has been renovated, has tablecloths, candles etc. dress nicely for this place. I have eaten at a lot of Greek restaurants in various cities & can say that this is next-level dining. Superb flavors, perfectly cooked Lamb (in my case) & for my partner, Gyro platter with very generous sized servings. Attention to detail, flavor, generous servings, lovely ambiance, professional serving staff & best of all, Christina herself, creating dishes that remind you Greek does not always have to be fast food. Too bad the Lamb Shank special had run out--we ate late & earlier, you could not get a seat...next time we visit Pompano Beach, we will plan better. This family owned restaurant is a real gem! They have the best gyros in town!! The portions are large and in charge!! The food is authentic and the staff is friendly! I would mostly order take out, but it seems like the perfect place to venture off with a lover and a bottle of wine if ya know what I mean!! I have even heard of birthday parties being thrown here. We are extremely disappointed in an event that happened today. We called Delivery Dudes for a food delivery. We placed the order for 2 greek salads and gyro meat on top. When we received the food there was no Tzatziki sauce on the side. My experience has always been that when you order a greek salad it comes with dressing and Tzatziki sauce. I called back Delivery Dudes and when they called Christina's they were told that they would absolutely not include the sauce and they were going to charge $1.25 for about a 3 oz container of it. Delivery Dudes asked them if they would give us the sauce to keep a new customer happy and they took a stand and said NO. Delivery Dudes stepped right up and paid for it at their expense and delivered it to us free of charge. I hope Christina is happy that she lost 2 very good customers because she refused to give us sauce. Sometimes we have to give an inch to get a yard. I will never go back to that restaurant again and if asked by anyone I will tell them not to go to a place that has no respect for their customers. read more
