Rather than cancel our order, the owner Kostas came in on his day off and made our pizza himself. That kind of dedication to customers is rare and honestly unmatched. The pizza was incredible, as it always is. But what really stood out was Kostas himself. When I picked up the order, he wasn't rushing me out the door -- we ended up talking for a good 20 minutes. He asked about my family, shared stories about his own life and how he ended up in Florida. It felt less like a transaction and more like catching up with an old friend. This is what makes small, family-run businesses special. Kostas isn't just a great cook, he's a genuinely great person who clearly cares about the people he serves. Can't recommend this place enough -- go for the pizza, stay for the conversation. read more

Kostas Greek Eatery - what a hidden gem! Everything here tastes fresh and homemade, and you can really tell the food is made from scratch. This is an owner-operated spot -- and yes, he's actually the one cooking for you, which makes the experience feel even more authentic. They have wood-fired Greek-style pizzas made right in front of you, which was such a cool touch. The hummus was super lemony and garlicky, served with fresh warm pita. I ordered the chicken souvlaki platter and it was excellent -- the chicken was moist, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Our friends ordered the octopus (not pictured) and I stole a bite -- easily a 10/10. Since everything is made fresh, the entrees took a little longer to come out, but the appetizers arrived quickly and were definitely worth the wait. First time visit, now long term customer. I found this place looking for pizza places and saw that the Greek food looked great. My wife and I gave it a shot and were very impressed by the food. First off, the service and services were good and very nice. The restaurant is older and the decor is dated, but I didn't come for decoration, I came for good food. I very happy to say, the food was very good. We started with the dip duo which had tzatziki and hummus. Both were delicious. They had great flavor and served with the seasoned pita bread, made it that much better. We shared the octopus and Greek wings for dinner. The wings were excellent. Great flavor, and a nice grilled exterior. The meat was juicy and very flavorful as well. The octopus was good but not great. It had good flavor and was grilled. My only complaint was that some of the pieces were a little over cooked and had some hard burn spots. Definitely going back to try the pizza. This place was a pleasant surprise to grab some pizza from. A very local feel and great service, it's somewhere we will definitely revisit when we want some good pizza or Greek. We ordered the pepperoni pizza with ricotta and it was delicious. The pizza was thin, the crust was crunchy. While there the owner told us we haven't had pizza until we have his pizza and gave us a slice to enjoy. It was delicious!!! We decided to go back the next day and try their Margherita Pizza. WOW!!!! He was 100% correct. It truly was the MOST DELICIOUS EVER!!! So much so that on Mother's Day we drove all the way there, an hour away, for two XL Margherita Pizza's for our family gathering. We went to a local food festival that was underwhelming and needed to get some lunch. A search of nearby places lead us to Kosta's. It's a (Greek) blue building with free parking. On entering, your senses are greeted by the aroma of pizza. And there is a pastry case right in front. We love Saganaki and ordered an appetizer to share. We all got gyro sandwiches because that's we were in the mood to eat. But we had to try the pizza. So, we shared a slice just so we could taste it. The Saganaki came with a plate full of pita bread drowning in olive oil and topped with spices and Parmesan cheese. We requested a plate of plain pita because of a few food allergies at the table. (We were not warned that the bread would be flavored.) The server gladly brought some. We wished our cheese was set aflame at our table. It was not. Nevertheless, with a squeeze of lemon, it was salty and tasty. We all liked our taste of the pizza. We agreed that it was very New York style and worth a meal the next time. The pitas were chock full of gyro meat that was delicious. Three of us could not eat raw onions, so they eliminated it. I have been to other Greek places where they will saute the onions for you. There was no offer of that service here, but we did not ask. Also, when we got the bill, we were charged for two side dishes of pita. We were never told that the Saganaki did not come with pita. Who eats it plain? The restaurant should be transparent with their charges. Otherwise, we enjoyed the food and definitely hope to return. One appetizer, 4 gyro sandwiches, 2 sides of pita, with tax and tip was $79. read more

I tried Kostas for the first time yesterday. I was so happy to find this gem of a restaurant. It is rare to find an owner operator that is so dedicated to food quality as I found here. Food is very delicious and everything they put out is with palatable intention. I drove 40 minutes to try Kostas after seeing them on "one bite". I will be coming back for sure. read more

I wish I could give Costa's 10 stars! This place is unbelievable and hubby and I do not go anywhere else for Mediterranean food. Now, let's talk about the pizza. I am a pizza fanatic and their pizza is in my top three! Hubby and I usually go and get a pie as an appetizer we take the rest home and then we enjoy some Mediterranean food. Every single person and couple we have brought to Costas have never gone back to their old Mediterranean restaurant and have since introduced this place to others! I am so glad I found this little neighborhood gem! We got the hummus and falafel apps. Both were delightful but the star was the toasted and seasoned pita wedges served with the hummus, and they refilled our pita. Mains were the classic gyros and chicken souvlaki. The most generous pita sandwich I have ever had. The table near us got the chicken parm, which was a huge plate. I can't wait to comeback and work the menu. Omg I am so happy to find this neighborhood gem. Their sign says "where everyone is family" and that's totally the vibe I get. Staff all seems to be Greek-speaking so it really feels legit. The dolmades are my favorite and I will make the 30 min drive just to eat these again. They are stuffed with (what appears to be) beef and a little bit of rice. Perfect texture, lemony sauce with fresh herbs. Soft grape leaves. My husband likes the gyro pita which has ample meat (lamb and beef) and crisp salad veggies. A slice a pizza is only like $3.25 so he loves to add a slice onto his meal if he's hungry. We saw a sign that the barstool pizza guy rated it very highly and he agrees it's great. The fresh garlic pita they gave us was an unexpected treat. Fluffy warm bread with chunks of garlic and parm and amazing tasting olive oil. Green beans are also great. Had a great first experience here! The half-and-half, hummus and tzatziki dip was amazing. The warm and flavorful pita that comes with it was excellent. I also really enjoyed the chicken gyro as well. Tender chicken and delicious flavor. For dessert we split the pineapple cake that was homemade. Very fresh and light tasting. All of the other desserts in the case looked wonderful as well. Definitely would like to return soon to try more. read more

Was here with a ladies group. We were seated in a separate room with 2 long tables. There was a lot of people. Unfortunately, the service didn't seem to handle that well. We were would food & drinks for about an hour. I think they could have had an extra server & maybe that would have helped. The best part was the food. I was super impressed. I ordered spanakopita entree that came with a Greek salad. You could have ordered lemon potatoes, string beans or rice- I think. I chose the salad. I really enjoyed it. I took a slice of pizza to go. As a former NYer- I am very picky about pizza. It was delicious & reminded me of my pizza back in the day. Thin crust. I will definitely come back to try their Greek style pizza- maybe gyro- that sounds great. I was privileged to meet Kosta & we reminisced about NY Greek Restaurants & Nightclubs. We had a great lunch at Kosta's. It was my first visit. The outside doesn't look too great but we were surprised inside as it was small but clean and looked like a Greek restaurant in Greece! We had the Greek Salad and chicken Souvlaki Pitas and enjoyed both. The chicken was a little dry but had a good flavor. We were also pleasantly surprised because this is a Greek restaurant and Pizzaria. We were offered a slice of pizza to try and it was a really thin crust and flavorful! We even got to Experience the owner breaking a plate as entertainment for the large family dining with their kids! Our monthly meeting at a restaurant brought us together at Kosta's Greek eatery. We had a great time, the food was amazing, at first I was a bit disappointed because I felt like eating a chicken lemon soup and a taramosalata but unfortunately it wasn't on the menu, so I ordered the Greek wings and the cheese pizza. A lot of the guys ordered mostly, Greek specialties, we all enjoyed our dinner. It was excellent! Our server Layla was amazing, she was alone on the floor and she was professional, super efficient and friendly. She also has a beautiful smile. The ambiance is of a Greek eatery, I guess. The price is a little higher than those in the surrounding area but when the quality is this good it's worthwhile. I used to eat at Kosta's a long time ago back in their old location. When they moved, probably a decade now, I had some experiences with it taking a very long time to get our order. It was enough to turn me off from this place. HOWEVER...I decided to check out the reviews on Yelp to read peoples' recent experiences here. All the good reviews made me cast aside my doubts and come back. And boy am I glad I did! I had really missed their food, and it was just as delicious as ever. The restaurant is very comfortable with several tables and a large bar area that you can sit and dine at as well. There is some unique art hanging from the ceiling and photos of Greece and I believe the owners' families. At least when seated at the bar, it appears that you do not have one sole server, as many of the servers helped us with taking our orders and refilling drinks, etc. The service was very friendly and attentive. We decided on the spanakopita platter for me with Greek salad. My husband got the Gyro platter. There was no way I was going to go back to Kosta's and not have their lemon potatoes, which are a must have. We placed the order and I nervously eyed my watch. Rest assured, our order came out in normal time, and as I took my first forkful, I knew they had completely won me back. The salad ingredients were very fresh and crisp, and as you can imagine, they use delicious feta and olives. The lemon potatoes were just as I'd remembered, with the perfect balance of citrus. The spanakopita was generously filled with spinach and feta cheese. My husband loved his Gyro platter. prior to being served our main courses, they provided us with warm pita topped with delicious Greek. The portion sizes are generous., especially for the price, and we were able to enjoy our leftovers for lunch the next day. I'm already ready to go back again, and it's only been a couple days. I feel bad that I missed out on many years of enjoying their food, but glad to see my old concerns are just that. OLD. If I can make one request to the owners: PLEASE bring back the grilled calamari dish that you had at your old location. That was some of the best calamari I ever had, and sometimes it is hard to find it served grilled and not fried. read more

If you like restaurants that feel like you're in your families dining room... this is your place. First off, it can get a bit loud. I'm not talking guests, I'm talking servers arguing with the chef. It actually got comical at one point and I felt like I was in a skit. The servers are nice but a bit engaged with coworkers instead of patrons. I've actually been here many times before but haven't been in for about 3 years. (Nothing has changed) The food is always good although my hubs was almost done with his meal by the time I received my salad. Hubs had the pizza special and I ordered the small Greek salad which I had to give him half because it's always big and very good. This place is as good as it gets as far as authentic Greek cuisine. The staff was so friendly, warm and attentive! They make everything on site, including their desserts and all their crusts. We were greeted by our friendly waitress, who gave us a slice of pizza because we were first time patrons. My husband ordered the Gyro with lemon potatoes, and I ordered the green beans and stuffed peppers. The pita is freshly grilled and their tzatziki sauce is outstanding. Both dishes were extremely tender and flavorful ... they were Huge portions and we definitely had enough leftover for a couple of days. I will totally be back and bringing my friends and family here. The place is so nice and cozy. The food was delicious. We had the pita with hummus and taziki and it was sooo good! The portion is very generous so perfect if you are hungry. We also had the all meat pizza, my husband had only two slices and filled him up it had lots of meat and the dough was made to perfection. Last but not list the service was great, they where very fast, always made sure everything was good at the table. Kristine was awesome! Highly recommend!! read more
