After a day in the sun we were craving some light food and stopped by Shishka for dinner. We ordered all appetizers to pick off of. They do have a full bar but we went with the Lebanese beer - Beirut and Almaza. The kids got mint lemonade and regular lemonade. We ordered fried kibbeh, hummus with meat, mujaddara, grape leaves, sfiha, fattoush salad, mouhamara and grilled haloumi. For dessert, we got knafe and malabieh. Everything was so delicious and fresh. It did take some time to have the drinks come - some appetizers came before the drinks did but overall good experience. You can sit inside or outside but we opted for outside since the weather was beautiful.

Came here with my ladies group. I was also celebrating my birthday! With that being said- I was very busy dancing with the excellent belly dancer! I really didn't get pictures of food! The owner was very accommodating & explained all the Lebanese dishes. Most of the people ordered from the lunch menu. I had lamb kabob in a Pita wrapped with hummus. It was delicious!!! Everyone was very happy with the quality of the food & we all enjoyed everything!!! The server - was very patient with us & got everything done right! All in all- this is a very cosy restaurant. There is a lot of additional room outside on the patio. Fantastic Experience! This place is great for special occasions as well date night!

A friend recommended Shishka Lebanese Grill, and I'm glad they did! Tucked away in the back of a plaza, it might be easy to miss, but it's a local favorite with every table occupied. This restaurant specializes in authentic Lebanese cuisine. We ordered the Baba Ghanouj, a delicious blend of baked eggplant, garlic, tahini, and lemon juice served with olive oil; the Fattoush Shawarma Salad, a refreshing fattoush salad topped with flavorful meat or chicken shawarma; and the Kibbeh Nayeh, a unique dish of ground select meat, cracked wheat, and special spices served raw. The servers were incredibly helpful in explaining the menu and providing recommendations. The ambiance is comfortable, with live music on Fridays. I'll be back soon!

Still my favorite Mediterranean Lebanese food. Food is consistent and always good. Service is excellent. Weekends after 8 you can be entertained with belly dancing. Shawarma Hummus - amazing... fresh homemade hummus topped with thin sliced grilled gyro... so good Sajouk is still my favorite appetizer- grilled Lebanese sausage in tomato Grilled Shrimp entree came with 6 big shrimp grilled in Mediterranean spices with a side. Chose the vegetables which were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this family owned restaurant. Service is always good and the homemade fresh food is even better!

We left a festival that had a ton of food booths because we knew we were near Shishka. We parked and wandered through an open-air mall of stores and restaurants. There were some people around, but one restaurant had more guests than any other - Shishka! We're vegan and checked out their menu online - they have a lot of options for everyone! Our server, Henry, was excited to present the dishes to us and congratulated us on our order. We ordered two pots of Turkish coffee and drained them both. We ordered a dish of rice, lentils and sauteed onions (Mujadara); a beautiful salad with fried pita pieces (Fattouch); pastries filled with spinach, nuts and spices (Fatayer); and a Veggie Combo platter of everything from falafel to stuffed grape leaves (Warak Inab). We sat outside and watched patrons smoking a fruit-scented hookah as we dug into the food. I loved the Mujadara and Fattouch salad - combined actually. The falafel was very crisp and delicious with the tahini sauce. The bread was thin (wasn't a calorie bomb) and the olives were tasty. And I just loved the Turkish coffee! Will we return? Yes! My husband found he liked the Tabbouleh salad with Mujadara. We have friends who eat a variety of food, and this menu has something for everyone - even our friends who might bring their kids to our next meal. The weather was balmy, Henry was happy to be of service and we enjoyed the scenery around and in front of us. It took our already lovely day and kicked off a beautiful night.

The food was a bit underwhelming. We are not familiar with Lebanese food, but we read some of the reviews and tried some of the dishes that the people recommended. A bit of salt and pepper helped the mixed grill, but I was expecting more from the appetizers. The hummus with meat was interesting but the Fried Kibbeh was a bit dry. The service was adequate and the restaurant was clean.

The first thing we noticed, which was a bit unexpected, was the decor. The ambiance was really nice and inviting. This is the type of restaurant where someone could host a party. The service was really good too. We received water almost immediately after being seated, and our server came by shortly after. The manager stopped by throughout our visit to provide recommendations, and he was really nice. It made the experience feel more personal. For our appetizer, we ordered the Baba Ghannouj, which complemented the pita bread really well. It was our first time having it, and we did not know what to expect, but it was great. It was really flavorful, and we finished it wanting more. For our entrees, we had the Lamb Chops and the Seafood Tagine. The lamb chops were great. It was not a huge portion, but the meat was flavorful and cooked well. The presentation was also really nice. The Seafood Tagine looked great, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. Everything about the dish worked well together, and we felt that all the flavors complemented one another. There was a good harmony between the ingredients. For dessert, we ordered the Kunafa, which was another first for us. We had never had it before, but the description really sold us on it. It was really good. This is the kind of dessert that is best shared since it is a little heavy. Toward the end of our visit, a belly dancer came out to perform, and it was really exciting. La Vie is a great restaurant, and we will definitely return. We felt as though we got a true Mediterranean experience during our visit.

For our entrees we got chicken tagine and lamb chops. I must say the lamb chops were phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. I definitely recommend getting them medium. All in all if you're looking for something different definitely go check it out!

My attitude was simple: it's about celebrating my friend. I'm so glad I did because this visit completely changed my mind. The restaurant's new location (where Mellow Mushroom used to be) is beautiful, spacious, and has a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for gathering with friends. Since we were sharing, we sampled a little of everything, and it was all delicious. Favorites included the falafel, Lebanese moussaka, crispy Brussels sprouts with Aleppo date glaze, baba ghanouj, classic hummus, Rocca beet salad, and the fresh, flavorful fattoush salad. Every dish was colorful, well-seasoned, and perfect for sharing around the table. The drinks kept flowing, and everyone was having a great time. To celebrate the birthday, we finished with an orange olive oil cake and a rich dark chocolate cake with sauce--both were wonderful endings to a fantastic meal. A special shout-out to our server, Ariana, who was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind to everyone at the table. She helped make the evening even more enjoyable. This visit completely changed my opinion of the restaurant. Great food, a beautiful new space, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere made for a memorable evening. What a beautiful transition! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly and respectful host. The restaurant was nicely done, and even though we arrived a little early before the dinner rush, the atmosphere was already great. We were seated right away, and both our server and the manager came over quickly to make sure everything was taken care of. We ordered a great variety of appetizers for the table baba ghanouj, hummus, falafel, kibbeh, labneh, and fresh bread. Everything looked beautiful, smelled amazing, and tasted even better.
