Bal Harbour is a luxury shopping mall that opened in 1965 in the upscale village of Bal Harbour in Miami. I have visited it twice and this experience nailed its essence. The pop up is set up in shipping containers that have been turned into 17,000 square feet of elegant micro stores. One of my favorite things about the Bal Harbour mall is the open air atrium in the center and they even recreated it. Participating businesses include Tiffany and Co., Addict, Assouline, Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Elisabetta Franchi, Etro, Golden Goose, Lanvin, Monnalisa, and Santa Maria Novella. You can shop for clothing, jewelry, perfume, and books. You can dine at The Whitman, a restaurant created specifically for the pop up. The name of the restaurant was inspired by The Whitman by The Sea, a luxury Miami Beach hotel owned by the Whitman family in the 1940's. As a fan of Bal Harbour, I really enjoyed this experience. Either way, I thought it was different and cool looking sneakers and oddly one rack of leather jackets too. The sneakers were retro designed and started at $565.00 - I thought for that price they were lined with gold flakes or signed by Michael Jordan but I was wrong. Loved the interior decor which screamed retro with old skateboard, bland colored suitcases and big stereos blending with the sneakers on the wall displays. Very intriguing store for youngsters and the wife would never permit me to wear the sneakers.

The Cultural Council has their main art building in the city of Lake Worth where they host a lot of art classes, events, local artists and international ones. At The Satellite they have a special exhibition called, "Reimage." It showcases solo artists that are listed in the website of Cultural Council. This pop up gallery is small but a neat space to take pictures and enjoy some good art and design. It's free to the public for visiting. The lecture series events they host are $10 for non members. The front of the gallery has information on special events of local organizations as well.

I generally don't like places that do a lot of Wagyu. They tend to lean into the fat too much and don't balance their acids in contrast in their dishes. The cases are full of meats that you can take home and cook as well as cheeses that are exotic and interesting wines and beer and exotic sodas. All kinds of special condiments and foodstuffs. Service is excellent! Order at the counter, but they give you great attention! It's a small place. Desserts are so good that it's scary! Japanese Cream Sandos are a unique one! The dining room is clean comfortable, not pretentious. They're playing 80s Ramones tunes and "Cherry Bomb," and other tunes that just make you smile.

It usually comes with yellow mustard and chopped onions and chips. I ordered it without onions and subbed tater tots ($2 more) for the chips. They delivered it with onions, but quickly corrected it. Both the hotdog and tots were very good... and very filling. My husband got their Chicago Wagyu dog with all the fixings and a side of chips. Both dogs were large portions. We each had one of their Boylan's sodas. I'd chosen their diet cola and he got their red birch beer. But after reading that there was 100 milligrams of caffeine from coffee in the cola, my husband was nice enough to switch sodas with me. As I said in the beginning, the food was good. This place is unique. So many meats. But paying over $50 for a lunch of two hotdogs and two sodas may be a bit out of range for most folks even if the meat is wagyu -- and certainly what we wouldn't be able to do regularly.

This was the only plant on my balcony, so there's absolutely no way the infestation came from anywhere else but the store. To make matters worse, a friend of mine bought a similar trellis bougainvillea from this same place the same week, and guess what? Hers had worms too. This clearly points to a problem with the plants they're selling. Even more upsetting, my cat ended up getting sick after coming into contact with the worms--leading to a $400 vet bill. I brought the dead plant back in hopes they would at least take some responsibility, offer a refund, an exchange, or help nurse the plant back to health. Instead, all they did was offer a systemic treatment, and made no guarantees or effort to ensure the plant was actually healthy. This was such a disappointing and costly experience--both financially and emotionally. I won't be shopping here again, and I highly recommend others think twice before purchasing plants from here without carefully checking for pests.

They have a build your own succulent bar where you choose a pot and add in the succulents you like. Small pots were between 10 and 15 dollars. They also sell mugs, cups, and plant misters. The disco ball hanging planter was my favorite. You can even spot the magical unicorn that is protecting the property. There are funny sign everywhere that elicit a chuckle. The shop sits on the west side of Federal Highway. Parking is a bit of a challenge especially when any nearby lots are full. We drove around the block and found a makeshift spot along a side street and walked over. You have to ring the bell to be buzzed inside. And once inside, there's so much stuff that even a few folks will make the place seem crowded. But everything displayed is so unique and interesting and eye catching that you'll hardly know where to look first. If you're of a certain age, the "vintage" clothing will look a bit familiar like things you used to actually wear years ago. But most things have a little something extra, too. Some clothing has stenciled skulls; or extra embellishments; or lace, or fringe, etc. All sorts of clothing. Accessories and purses are different -- like the one that was hamburger shaped. There are a number of "cool" tee-shirts. And strange things from a bucket of dolls heads to candles and voodoo items. The jewelry alone will keep you busy looking at all the appealing choices. There are lots of things here that would make a good gift for someone who's a bit original and off beat. Or a good gift to treat yourself. I'm sure we will return when nearby.

This is a not to be missed store in downtown Lake Worth Beach. It has so many different items you…read moremight feel like you are in a museum of unusual things. Yes, there are tourist souvenirs, different gifts, trinkets, and memorabilia. And many of the usual items you'd find -- like t-shirts and jewelry -- but with a unique twist or sense of whimsy or of humor. There are so many different attractive items you won't know where to look first. Then amidst it all are the vintage and collectible items. And even some antiques. There's a back room of vintage clothing, too. Always seeking out a bargain, I found myself sifting through a large sale basket of costume jewelry -- all for only $3 each -- and discovered three items to bring home. We also had a nice conversation with the owner. He told us a bit about his history. I was curious about the mix of new and old items. He told us he even has customers who collect certain things and will approach him to help fill in their collections. If you stop by, allow yourself time to browse as you'll discover a new treasure in every corner. And probably find something intriguing to take home.

Sea You Boutique opened in August of last year and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They bill themselves as a beachy, boho boutique. They sell bags, art, beauty product, clothes, accessories, home goods, plants and pots, candles, kids clothing and toys, books, stationary, pantry goods, and more. There is something for every budget. If you can't make it in they also have an online store. They also recently started offering in store workshops. Follow them on social media for dates and times and new items. I really like the Florida line of bracelets and the swimmer necklace. Quite a few bags caught my eye too as did the gorgeous teal Talavera tumblers. They have items with Lake Worth Beach on them like shirts and stationary. If you love a beachy, tropical vibe, this is your sign to visit Sea You Boutique for a souvenir, a gift, or just to treat yourself.

I believe I overheard her say that right now she is only open two days a week.
