If you are making an appointment make sure you get Jenny (there are two Jens at Elan so don't get confused "Jenny" is a master stylist/colorist). I highly recommend her. Not only is she a joy to talk to Jenny's skills are superb and helps get the hair you want. She was loaded with suggestions and tips for my vision on what I wanted. She got me into that comfort zone where I can really love my new look. I received two balayages from her, which had me nervous because of my thin hair but they came out great and my hair is still healthy if not healthier! She asked me if I wanted my chin waxed but I said no, I only needed the sides of my face done. If I thought I was getting a full face wax, I wonder if she waxed my chin, if she would have charged me an additional price for chin. So there's plenty of room for communication on pricing and the ambiguous services with no descriptions online. It's easy to mix up what does "full face" mean vs "sides of face" vs "sideburns", etc. and that "full face" also does not mean eyebrows are included. Had I known what I was being charged for, I would not have come here to begin with, so it's disheartening to have given away $75 plus a cash tip to this place just to get my sideburns/cheeks + eyebrows waxed, and no other part of my face, when I could have found better pricing elsewhere. Also their online pricing was different from what they were charging me in the system, and there's no signs or brochures in person that show their latest raised prices. The last thing is the site says you get $20 off your first service as a new customer, but in person, they said it only applies to hair coloring services, which COULD be easily clarified online, but It's just online bait, which is another reason why I initially came to try out this place.
