Only 2 small critiques- I wish they used a straight edge and hot cream to get the neck line like most traditional barber shops do. I've prefaced every haircut by saying something to the effect of "yabba-say-oh!" - thinking that I was delivering a spot-on Korean "hello" to the couple that own the joint. What a great place! Simple, super clean and friendly, what more do you need. First, the only con I can think of to list for this place is they do NOT accept credit cards, so bring CASH! Besides that, it's comfortable, they have magazines and TV on while you wait, which isn't very long. Two very experienced barbers await you here, both have cut my hair and I have no preference between the two. Their clippers are attached to a vacuum system so this eliminates hair all over the floor that you normally see at a barbershop. If you don't know which guard to use on the clippers or what style you like, refer to the large pictures on the wall with an array of styles. Unlike some barbers I've used, they will scissor cut the top of your hair, instead of just using clippers on both, sides and top. After your haircut warm shaving cream on the nape of your neck and it's neatly trimmed with a straight razor. This is a great business, very clean and have great prices! This has been my go to barber for over a year. It is family ran by a husband and wife and they both are very kind and know how to cut my hair. At the beginning they had a apprentice who sucked at it and the owner would have to correct him every customer. He's no longer there. The facility is clean. The equipment is clean and the sheers are attached to a vacuum which minimized the hair on my clothes. They do a straight edge shave at the end. I walk out paying $15, that includes tip. Oh and they give my kid a lollipop every time. A standard at most barber shops I guess. read more

The guy doesn't speak or understand English quite well, we were having such a difficulty in communicating and he kept on pointing out I should have a seat to get a haircut. I walked in to have my dad get a haircut and shave. I also asked if they could dye his hair as well. The lady agreed and I repeated myself again and she said she would do that. I asked her How much all of it would cost and she said $21. I went to a nearby store to get cash because they were cash only. By the time I got back he was already done and I noticed his hair was not dyed. She said they did not do that there. I was disappointed only because she agreed she would before I left. I gave her $40 and she gave me back the change and I took it....As I am putting it in my pocket she is arguing with me for not giving her a tip. Cheap and fast usually doesn't equal a great haircut;. I'm pleased to say these guys are an exception to this equation.

The husband, who is a Marine and has had many haircuts in the past 10 years, needed an after work cut. Since he needs a weekly cut, going to a different barber and paying $17 + tip was adding up fast. I had seen this place and encouraged him to try it. $11 was much easier on the pockets. There were two people working but only one seat open. No wait is always a good thing though. He sat in Sue's (or Shue's she said either worked) chair and she immediately got to work. He was facing away from the mirror but was still telling me how good the cut was. He could tell her work was good just by the feel (I'm telling you he has had a lot of hair cuts.) She was very friendly and was happy to tell us about the business. My husband is very happy with his cut. He wanted me to write a review to help the new business but he doesn't want them to get too busy. We're both happy he has found his new barber! Great place to get a hair cut. It's brand new or super busy but you get a quality hair cut for a really good price. My barber didn't talk much but he was very professional and courteous. What was really awesome about this place was the machine he used to cut my hair. It's a regular clipper but with a mini vacuum on it. When he was done with the cut I didn't have any tiny hairs all over my head, neck or ears. It was a clean cut. He also used a blade for the sides and back for a sharp look. For $11 what more can you ask for. Walk-ins are accepted, so guys if you need a good cut at a good price during the week this place is ready to go. read more

First of all, the pix with price shown here on the site is very misleading, coz that's not how much they charge now. Guys $15; kids $13; Ladies $17, cash only btw. Went there coz the lady gave my kiddo her very first hair cut last year and it was decent. She told me that she would start working in Elkridge off Rt. 1, a little googling went long way. I got my hair cut alongside with my baby girl, it was OK at best, not too skillful (at least I've seen better). I thought I was only paying $20 so adjusted my expectation accordingly until I noticed the price chart on the wall which was 40% more. My wife went there next day to try out, wasn't impressed. I spent far too long trying to decide what s star to give this place. It was not what I was expecting, but I'm glad I tried. Look out for the hair vacuum cleaner they use on you after the cut. That's what makes me want to go back. Though the language barrier was strong, he knew exactly what to do with just the words. The downside was the ambiance. I was in the middle of Maryland and needed a haircut. So i dropped by for hair cut. Barber informed me that the last barber cut my hair wrong and proceeded to fix the errors. The shop is a little hidden but located in the same shopping center as the 7-11. There are only two barbers here. I went during the workday and they were constantly busy with people coming and people leaving. The best part about this barbershop is that they have a suction attached to the razor so that barely any hair falls down. Great for getting a hair cut during lunch. Hard to beat this place for a $12 haircut. To be fair, I don't have a particularly difficult or complicated hair style. Still, I have had my fair share of awkward and bad experiences. As an Asian American guy, I have rather straight, thin hair. I've found that some barbers struggle with my sort of hair. Fortunately, that is not the case with these guys. I tend to go to the gentleman because he's an Asian guy, so I presume he has a lifetime of experience with dealing with my kind of hair. I'm sure the lady does a fine job too, but the guy has yet to let me down so I'm sticking with him. He is always professional and friendly. As other reviewers have pointed out, the clippers are attached to a vacuum, which spares you from having hair all over yourself afterwards. I finally found an awesome place for my 4 year old to get his haircut. I tried several other barbers in the area, as well as a pricey kid's chain, but was never really happy with the cuts he got. Sue is great and very patient with him. Though he can be a bit wiggly at times, he still gets a nice even haircut. The shop is very clean, and the staff is friendly and polite. Usually when we've gone we haven't had to wait more than a couple minutes. Although I bring my child here, other parents may want to know it isn't geared towards kids. There aren't any toys or kid's tv programs, so if that's something your kid NEEDS, this place may not be ideal. If that's not an issue, I highly recommend this place! read more

My standard shop was closed on Sunday so I decided to check this place out based on the reviews. Pretty disappointed. The lady managed to mess up a standard buzz cut. I came home, took a shower, looked at my hair more closely and realized it was as if my hair was making waves front and back, side to side - just completely uneven throughout. The fades weren't done natural either and I was never asked about it. I'm trying to decide whether it looks bad enough for me to warrant a fix cut right now as I'm typing this. The only reason it gets 2 instead of 1 star is because she was nice and the price was reasonable.
