Been here many times and it never disappoints. Always 5 star service and food. Despite a packed house at prime dinner time, we were promptly seated and our server Ashley couldn't have been more amazing - friendly and attentive. A must go if you've never been here before. It's definitely a neighborhood place. The service, food, atmosphere was fantastic. It's also one of a few places that open later than most or the restaurants in the area. I really enjoyed my drink! What is not pictured is the food. I had the special of that day which was Birria tacos. It took a while to come out, and it was not tasty. The meat was too fatty to the point that I had very little meat I could actually chew and swallow (I am not a fan of chewing fat). Also, it was pretty pricey, maybe $17. I was initially okay with that because that meal is usually $14+ everywhere, but my feelings changed after getting the meal. I would go back for drinks, but I am not sure if I'd order any food item that I know requires great care an attention. Maybe stick to burgers or pasta. read more

Disappointing and unprofessional. Hostess (probably) gave our table to another party. Earlier today, we arrived at 5:30pm as a walk-in party. The hostess estimated that we could be seated in 20 minutes, so we left our name and number and walked around Wayne. When we didn't get a call (no missed calls either) around the estimated time, we walked back to the restaurant, at which point the hostess told us that the *earliest* they would be able to seat us was now 6:30pm. In other words, the initial estimate of 5:50pm became 6:30pm or later. What was worse - when we expressed incredulity that the estimate was extended that much, the hostess was totally unapologetic and simply asked if we wanted her to cross us off the list. We left. While estimates are estimates, it's very unlikely that it would be that far off - what is much more likely is that the hostess gave our table to another party without bothering to call us first. Disappointing and unprofessional. read more

Came here on a Friday last month with my wife and our 3 kids and we were pleasantly surprised to see that they were having a Trivia night. I thought it would be fun for the wife and I but I didn't know it was veery family friendly and our kids participated as well. We had a great time and will definitely be back. As for the food, my wife had the chicken marsala which she loved and I tried their Pork chop. It had a delicious, sweet glaze on it and had good veggies for sides. Our kids shared a cheeseburger pizza (it was really good actually) and the plain cheese. Both were a hit with them. We will definatly be back soon, mainly because our kids had a great time playing. I've been here quite a few times over the years. I recently met a friend here for brunch. I was happy to be able to get a table right away. However, they filled up pretty fast after that. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast. It came with breakfast potatoes and bacon and toast. It was all really good. The bacon was thick and cooked crisp. The eggs were cooked the way I asked. Toast was multigrain and very filling! I was pleased to see that they had breakfast cocktails so I ordered a mimosa. My friend had a cocktail with grapefruit juice. I went with a few work friends on a Tuesday afternoon. It was not crowded and we had our choice of seating. Our waitress was nice. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. From the pictures, you can see what the table ordered. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, and I would say it was cooked to my request and overall very juicy and flavorful. Everyone else also seemed to have enjoyed their dish. The prices are on par with other restaurants of similar quality. Christopher's is pretty good! read more

We have been to Christophers twice and both times the food and service were awful. The turkey burgers were flat and greasy-definitely not worth the $15 charge. The waitress would not stop bothering us coming to the table over eight times during the hour we were there around 4:30 pm. We will not go back--twice is enough for bad food and service. read more

Such a pleasant experience with huge servings and great service! We were able to pop in and get a sidewalk table on a beautiful day. Everything tasted fresh and vibrant- pork burger was fantastic. The pizza/flatbread seems a bit pricy and the fare is a bit standard for American stuff, but the polenta and sauce appetizers are a welcome delicious diversion. I chose this restaurant because the reviews were stellar and on my trip to Pennsylvania I needed a late night meal. Boy was I in for a surprise and not a good one. It all started with attempting to place an order. It turns out that their GrubHub site is broken and that you cannot place a delivery order by calling the restaurant directly instead you must order through DoorDash. The door dash menu was not complete and apparently has a few mix-ups. Let's get started. First, I wanted a house salad but what I got was a Mediterranean salad. The salad was just average at best... And I'm not saying this just because I'm bitter that the restaurant packed no napkins or utensils for me and the DoorDash delivery person who got tipped beforehand didn't bother to think of those things as they delivered to my hotel room either. Anyhow onto the fried avocado... At a nearly $15 price tag I wasn't expecting half of a mini avocado... There was no Chipotle or lime in the Chipotle lime tuna ceviche.... This was such a disappointment all around... A ceviche is something that cooks the tuna in the marinade instead of having some bizarre sear on the outside and soaking in none of the aforementioned flavors... Do you see the mango pineapple salsa? I didn't see or taste it either... At the bottom underneath some lettuce was a few pieces of corn and what look like maybe a slice of a diced tomato... What is this? No bueno! And then to the potato skins... Gosh it's really hard to mess this up... bacon, cheddar cheese, scallions and sour cream... What can go wrong? Well you can make them extremely hard with the stingiest amount of cheese and fell to use basic seasoning on the skins like salt at least and maybe a dash of pepper if you want to be adventurous... This had no salt on it to be heard of or tasted. Finally, The whole reason why I selected Christopher's... The prospect of a brisket Birria taco.... I don't know who did this or why but I think my camera actually made the meat look better than it was sad and gray and tasteless... The broth looked and tasted like it was the bottom of the beef chili container... And it just wasn't good... So, ruined brisket meat with a terrible broth does not a brisket birria aco make. I'm not sure if this was just an off night or what the problem was but all of these things coupled with not even being able to get a napkin and a fork with my order coupled with the low quality makes me wonder who is riding these reviews and maybe if perhaps it wasn't an off night if people should just go in so that they can get their order corrected while seated instead of having it delivered where they'll be sorely disappointed in the whole process and in the food itself. I don't mind paying 22 bucks for three Birria tacos when they're done correctly... This was not it ... what a waste of brisket! In my neighborhood, we call the whole thing a travesty. read more

We like the food and have been there often, though any enjoyment was spoiled tonight and not sure we want to return. Honestly, management probably does not care. Our server was lovely, and as surprised as we were that our food took 45+ minutes to be served. It's not even a weekend. Evidently, take-out orders take precedence to human beings at tables. After more than forty-five minutes of waiting, and the server running out of reasons why our meal was delayed, we asked for the manager, who arrived at our table at the same time as (finally) our food. His words, along with a shoulder shrug? "We're busy." That was it. As we tried to say something, he turned and walked away. Not another word, he wasn't going to listen - he just walked away while we were trying to speak. Again, I doubt management cares that we won't be back. Was recommended by two people - not sure I understand why. We had the jamabalaya, a margarita pizza and chicken ceaser wrap with a side order of fries ($2) and mac and cheese ($6). The wrap was ok but light in dressing, fries were soggy and greasy, mac and cheese was good but not great, jambalaya was good but not great, pizza was decent. I love this establishment for breakfast lunch and dinner! The food is freshly made to order... Something they don't advertise, but it really makes a difference. I have not had a bad menu item yet! I do you happen to particularly Love the Mediterranean salad with chicken but my children and husband get different menu items every time we go. Their bartenders are also always on point. I have never had a bad drink. So often I go to places revered for having great food and I am shocked that even standard drinks aren't good. I've had numerous mixed drink orders here and they are always awesome! Also, the beer at Christophers is fresh! Sometimes I go to a bar and order a beer and the beer is kind of off. We found ourselves in Wayne and wanted to sit somewhere for lunch. We were able to sit outside on the wide sidewalk. The table was a bit wobbly, but there was an umbrella for shade. The waitress was attentive and timely. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and hubby got the bbq burger. The chicken sandwich was beautiful and really tasty. I wouldn't call it spicy, but I have a high spice tolerance. The burger was juicy and yummy, although unevenly cooked. Some of the meat was well while the rest was medium. I ordered regular fries and hubby got sweet potato fries. They give you a large portion which is nice, since it's a $2 upcharge. All in all a cute spot with a good bit of options. Not going to lie I was a little hesistant after reading the reviews but decided to try it and I am so glad we did. We will definitely be repeat customers when we are in the area. My husband tried the spicy chicken sandwich and after our waiter suggested the chicken BLT in a soft roll for my sis and I we tried that also.
