Very excited to try this place in our quest to find the best local diner (a fixture from my childhood back in NY). To start, ordered decaf coffee which while fresh was fairly weak- I'm a fan of a strong cup, so this was a little bit of a downer. Switching to regular didn't help so much, but that's ok, the food definitely made up for it. I ordered the avocado and toast with eggs and home fries. This was simple but so delicious and generous portions too! I had to pack some up to take home because it was too much goodness. Mom got the two pancakes and these were stellar. Just how I like my pancakes - fluffy, a little on the chewier side but since I've been on the wrong side of dry pancakes this was a welcome change. I'd say these are worthy of a return visit, easy. I may just get my coffee elsewhere (no offense!) All in all a nice meal, good service, let's work on the coffee perhaps but a good spot to check out. read more

Usually Christo's doesn't miss. Your classic mom and pop breakfast spot. Always busy and always quick with the food. My first taste of grilled biscuits was here and I would highly recommend. My sausage this day was surprisingly bland and I NEEEVER add salt to restaurant food but I actually salted my eggs bc the sausage was not salty at all. The best diner on College Park! Hands down! Trust me, I have gone i every diner and this place is phenomenal. I have tried everything on the menu (non pork). My go to is the house chicken orzo soup and either a breakfast meal or a lunch platter. Today I ordered corn beef hash with eggs and toast. All of it was delicious. The next day I ordered the country fried steak with tater tots and potato salad. The portion was huge and it was delicious and also had plenty leftover. Christo's Cafe is a small diner located on the main strip of College Park and while they have some stiff competition in terms of these small cafes and diners, their food does warrant a visit here. My daughter and I stopped here for breakfast on the way to me taking her to work on a Sunday morning around 9:00. Well there were a decent amount of people, I am sure it would be much more crowded after church lets out. I opted for a breakfast favorites, chicken fried steak and eggs over easy. I had asked my server if they make the chicken fried steak in house. They do not spare in Jim Trailblazer but she did say they were good and very popular. It has been more than a minute since I had that, so I went with that. My daughter had the lox. Wall my breakfast was not stellar, it was not terrible. The chicken-fried steak power as I was told, was obviously out of a box. The eggs and home fries were well executed. My daughter said that her plate was very good. We went to Christo's for lunch on Saturday and were very impressed. The inside is small and has your traditional diner feel. The service was excellent. The soup of the day (lemon chicken orzo) was great, I wish I had gotten a bowl instead of a cup because it was so good. The club sandwich and the bacon cheeseburger were great with large portions of each. We also ordered a side of sausage gravy to dip ours fries in and it was amazing. College Park on Edgewater. I see a lot of 5 star reviews here and I have to say, I disagree. A lot of them were for breakfast so kaybe that's it. Anyway, the place is fine - I'm not hating, just not a 5 imo. Nice little diner - it's clean and cozy inside. Staff was nice. I had a BLT and fries which were both average and the BLT actually skewed a little below average to me. Bacon was chewy, I like crunchy bacon so maybe it's just my preference. Haven't been to this old College Park staple for years, and it's still great! Decidedly casual, old-style diner, with indoor and outdoor seating. I went for Saturday morning brunch with three close friends and we were able to snag a table outside during a beautiful, slightly chilly day. Our server was good! Helpful with the menu and just personable. My first impression of the coffee was not very good. It's typical diner coffee that's not strong and kinda blah. That was a bit of a disappointment honestly, but I guess it is a diner. I got the Philly Steak Omelet with Hashbrowns. I had my eye on multiple omelets as they all looked pretty good! The omelet itself I believe had steak and onions inside and a slice of Swiss cheese on top. I enjoyed it and it was a full helping. I love omelets out at restaurants because of the large portion. You never leave hungry! Unfortunately, the hashbrowns were a major disappointment. I don't even know what I was eating! The flavor was bland and the texture was like overcooked noodles.... they are supposed to be potatoes! I literally couldn't eat them at all. Sooo unpleasant. I tried my friend's home fries and they were much better. My meal came with a choice of bread and I chose the biscuit and under recommendation from my sever I got it sliced and toasted with butter. Arriving to Orlando a day early allowed us to explore the city in the morning and grab some grub before going to help the Queen of Yelp Orlando - Andi P - with her amazing event that afternoon. Really? That's a sign this place is doing great!) but he managed to check in on us, make sure we were good and the food came out surprisingly fast. I ate a Christo's for the first time this morning (I like to try a new dinner every month) and Linda was absolutely amazing! She brought us waters with our menu's along with straws and silverware. She mentioned the specials and said to close out menus when we were ready to order. She was there immediately and asked what type of jelly/ hot sauce we wanted. The food came out pretty quick and the portion size was more than I could eat but it was so delicious!! Linda checked on us twice, not too much - I like that! I love the prices at Christo's and I love the atmosphere. One woman said her only complaint is that they don't allow dogs and I thank them for that. Who wants to eat bacon with a pooch watching? They let you sit and chat for a long time and it has a good, neighborhood feel to it. I don't think the food is spectacular, to be honest. The fried eggs are fried eggs. The omelets are good. The French toast is quite good. The hash browns are a little undercooked and as I recall, the corned beef hash isn't homemade. So it's not a foodie paradise. But it's an institution, they're nice to you, the food is solid and it just feels like a hometown diner--which is invaluable. The bacon is excellent and the coffee isn't awful. The staff could not have been nicer or more welcoming. The waiter chatted with us like we had been going there for years. The Decor was so cute and clean. I was fully anticipating this being our new go to place. However, with the exception of great biscuits the food was ok. My scrambled eggs were rubbery. My fried potatoes were not cooked all the way and were still hard. My bacon was very salty and ,I am not sure how to describe this but, although well cooked as I asked they were still chewy and not crispy. Christo's is a wonderful little diner. The atmosphere is typical of a diner and the prices are reasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed my omelet. It was made with spinach, tomatoes and feta cheese. I opted for cheese grits over the potatoes and a biscuit over toast. The omelet was absolute perfection. The grits were creamy and delicious. My husband ordered french toast with over medium eggs and potatoes. He tossed in an order of biscuits and sausage gravy just to give them a try. The french toast was deep fried and he loved it. The potatoes were seasoned nicely and the eggs were cooked exactly as ordered. The sausage gravy was the best that I have had in the area.
