    French Toast
    Virginie L.

I love a Diner/Cafe, the ambiance here is just that, a quaint establishment where you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. I ordered the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. The French toast was fluffy and a little crispy....delicious! Eggs fried exactly like I ordered and crispy but not hard bacon. Service was great... I can't wait to go back here to try some other items,, though something tells me I will be ordering the French toast again:)

First of all, the staff is INCREDIBLE! Such a great spot in College Park. I would come back just for the hospitality! Food portions were large, home fries were crisp, and pancakes were fluffy!

You have to try the deep fried French toast! Amazing and such a cute little spot. The staff was very friendly.

We recently visited Cristo's Cafe and had an overall average experience. We opted for the country breakfast--which included 2 eggs, 4 slices of bacon, biscuits and gravy, and home fries, though there are other options available if you'd like to mix it up. The restaurant is clean, tastefully decorated, and features a pleasant outdoor dining area. Prices are average ($26 including tip) and the portions are generous, with the food being good overall. The friendly staff added to the experience, making it a decent spot for a straightforward breakfast. Please note: The photos show a half order because my fiancé and I split the breakfast, and the staff was kind enough to bring it to the table already plated.

This small place was packed when my husband and I got there during brunch time. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The parking lot is small but you can also find street parking. We were greeted when we walked in to ask for a table. The server Suzanne was super nice and attentive to us. The pancakes are big so I split them with my husband. Next time we will get 2. I asked for over medium eggs but got over easy. The grits could use more love with seasoning but I guess it's better than over seasoned. The biscuit grilled was sooo yummy and fluffy! I wasn't a fan of the bacon because I like it crispy and they were not cooked all the way

This place was fantastic!!!! The service was a little slow but the food was worth it! The portions were really decent and half the price of most of the places around. I am a fancy pants brunch girlie but give me a solid diner with grits and wet eggs and you're going to have a happy girlie pop! I had the two eggs anyway (over easy), bacon, grits and sausage gravy. I only got water there but they had a bunch of beverage options. Thanks to Yelp for putting me into this spot! Highly recommend!

We came in for breakfast and had a great experience. Service was fantastic! We got seated quickly and our waitress checked on us and did refills regularly. For my meal, I got a chocolate chip pancake. Most people really only need to order one because the pancakes are giant. The pancake was delicious with crispy edges, a fluffy interior, and plenty of chocolate chips. It came with a light dusting of powdered sugar, butter, and syrup. I also got a side of the home fries, which were savory and perfectly fried up. I had their drip coffee and it was great. This is a wonderful place to go for local home style diner food.

We decided to come here and try this place out. You seat yourself and then a waiter will come to you. Service was very very friendly and polite. The food was delicious and very well priced. Overall the whole feeling of this diner was cozy and warm. Would definitely recommend this place for breakfast!

I visited this diner last weekend with my friend. It's typical breakfast diner food. We sat on the covered outdoor patio and ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of eggs and bacon. The food and service were both good! I'd definitely go back.

    Burned Liver and onions
    Cheryl V.

My review is take out only. My son had a late breakfast there last week. He sent me a picture of the menu and asked if he could bring something home. I saw that they had liver and onions. I usually LOVE eating liver and onions at these little dive diners. This one was really disappointing. I opened the container to the entree and it was burned beyond repair. The liver, itself, was paper thin and charred to a chewy crisp. (See pictures) I tried to eat some of it, but it tasted worse than it looked. Basically went straight into the trash can. Simply put...a total waste of money. Luckily it came with coleslaw, so I ate that and had a little of their potato salad that accompanied the entree. Both were just ok. Not sure if they are only a breakfast spot, or if their cook had a bad day. Either way, I'm not too inclined to give this place an "in-house" visit.

During my recent visit, I was delighted by the warm ambiance, with both indoor and outdoor seating options available. The smaller size of the cafe indeed contributes to its cozy charm, making it a perfect place to savor a delicious breakfast while feeling right at home. The breakfast portions at Christos Cafe are sizable, and the quality remains consistently top-notch. Their menu caters to various preferences, offering a delightful array of classic breakfast options and unique specialties. Whether you opt for the pancakes or their signature omelets, the flavors and portion sizes are truly satisfying. They have seasonal takes on different items as well. The staff is so friendly! Their welcoming and attentive nature only adds to the overall pleasant experience. Christos Cafe may be smaller in size, but its cozy atmosphere, coupled with hearty portions and a friendly staff, make it an absolute gem. I look forward to coming back here!

Food not bad, not good. On a scale of 1-10 food is probably a solid 6. Ambiance is quaint classic diner feel. Host was nice and greeted us with a smile and told us to seat ourselves , but our server seemed rushed/not thorough even though the place wasn't that busy. I asked about switching my toast for tomato slices but was told it would probably be an up charge. Which is fine, but I don't think I've ever been somewhere that wasn't readily allowing that substitution. On the menu hot chocolate is listed as decorated with whipped cream and chocolate syrup but what was served was just plain and also a mess all over the mug. The check was brought out with the food and even fell on top of the food, which is unsanitary. Everything felt kind of thrown at us without any thought or care. We weren't given straws for our water and I thought maybe you have to ask, but then looked around and literally every single other person in the restaurant had straws, so I'm sure it's a standard, we just had to ask for some reason. When we left I noticed my fiancé had sticky gunk on the side and bottom of one of his shoes, we had to grab tissues and water bottle out of the car to clean before getting in the car. It might be a better experience depending on what server you get, but with Waffle House as an always solid option with consistent service/food, we won't be back here to test the theory.

They had room on the patio but we wanted the air conditioning. The June specials menu looked awesome. The monthly soup is cauliflower. Choice of side was chips, coleslaw, potato salad, etc. I had potato salad/ it was good- a little bacon in it and perfectly seasoned. My sando came out toasted but they forgot the cucumbers! Our server brought me out sliced cucumbers so I added them myself. They were a little thick. I did not know but you can ask for pickles and they're free! They dropped off a large jar of pickles. Only two of us wanted them and they toss them if you don't finish them, so I took a few home. I only ate half my sandwich. Ir was super meaty. I recommend it! And the potato salad was a hearty scoop. I can't believe all of that was only $13 plus tax and tip. What a deal. Our food came out all together and didn't take forever. We sat. We ate. We charted. A good time was had! My girlfriend said that the steak was cooked perfectly medium as they asked. The steak sauce paired really well, and they had enough for leftovers, and enjoyed it even more the day after. The Mac & cheese was alright, we just wish there had been more of a crunch to the cheese. However, we both really liked the shape of the pasta as we don't really see those as often. However, I was surprised that the bar bites and appetizers were still fairly expensive, so the food specials didn't feel like much of a bargain. We started with the coconut shrimp, the short rib tacos, and the bread service, and all three were fantastic. The coconut shrimp was crispy and flavorful, the short rib tacos were packed with flavor, and the bread service was the perfect way to start the meal. Everything was off to such a great start that we had high expectations for our entrée. Unfortunately, the chicken-fried steak (which is actually made with beef despite the confusing name) was a huge disappointment. The meat was incredibly tough, to the point that it was difficult to chew, while the breading ended up being the most flavorful part of the dish. The broccoli tasted like plain steamed broccoli without any seasoning, and the mashed potatoes were just average and didn't add much to the plate. The entrée was disappointing enough that we asked for it to be taken back and chose not to have it remade. What made the experience more frustrating was how it was handled. Neither the owner nor a manager came by to ask what went wrong or gather any feedback. We were also offered dessert in a way that made it sound complimentary, but it ended up being added to our bill, which was confusing. One other thing that stood out was seeing the owner speak rather sharply to an employee over a white towel hanging from his pocket. It may have been a minor issue, but it could have been addressed more privately. On the other hand, every other staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere and is definitely a nice spot for a date night. I can absolutely recommend stopping by for drinks and appetizers, especially during happy hour. Unfortunately, the entrée and the way the situation was handled kept the experience from living up to the expectations set by such a strong start. While I'm glad we gave it a try, I don't see myself returning.
