I have been wanting to check out this sandwich shop for a while! Today we finally did and I'm so glad. It is run by a husband and wife I believe. They were both so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. The dishes are simple, but sweet! And it's a great place to stop in for a quick lunch. The ambience reminds me of a diner from the early 90s inside, personally, I love the nostalgic setting! There are some picnic tables outside where you can have your meal as well, and the lake provides for an outstanding view. Today both my partner myself got the Philly cheesesteak half combos we opted for fries with a can of soda. It was so nice to be able to choose between fries or chips. I've lived next to this place for almost a year and I didn't even notice it. It is a small Mom and Pop shop and the owners are super nice and very polite people. We ordered a Cheese Steak Combo and a Butter Chicken Curry with Rice and Naan. It was EXCELLENT! Talked with the owners and they make the food from scratch! Cheese steak was flavorful, the bread was toasted and soft. Don't even get me started on the Butter Chicken... It was delicious to say the least. Not too spicy but had a very great kick to it. The aroma and taste that came from that curry and rice was to die for. First time here and certainly not the last! They have been closed for a while due to the pandemic but they are back open with the same opening hours. Closing hours are 2:30pm instead of the normal 3:30. Make sure to give them a try! A tip on location: they are in a business park, building 4 ... come to park where you can see the lake BEHIND the building. Glad we found this place! It's located lakeside, so a bit hidden but a little walking around and we found it. The inside has a typical diner/snack shop atmosphere, with ample chip and drink selections. The menu is pretty expansive, they have breakfast, sandwiches, salads, and lunch plates. Fiance got the 1/2 philly with fries and drink - $8.99 I got the chicken deluxe sandwich - $5.99 The man working at the order counter was very nice, made sure to let us know the ingredients before we finalized our order. Overall the taste was pretty good, fairly normal for a sandwich, a bit heavy on the mayo (you can see in the pic) but I actually like it that way, and the bun was toasted which was nice. The owner and his wife are very friendly, the food is cooked to order and always fresh. Mom and pop counter service restaurant tucked back in the Full Sail campus. It's north of Hanging Moss. Park in the lot and walk north towards the little lake back there. Very poor/no signage. It is a bit of an adventure finding the place. This establishment is truly a husband and wife team that cook, clean, bus, serve... They have a lot of choices for sandwiches but I really recommend the specials. They do samosas, tikka masala and a great chicken curry. If you have been craving some decent, affordable Indian food this is a great spot. The aforementioned Indian dishes, do come with naan and rice. I've heard good things about the salmon dishes as well. The interior of the restaurant has an office space feel, but the outdoor tables sit out on a quiet pond. It is very relaxing. This is a hidden gem off of 436 and I highly recommend you give it a shot. Service can be a bit slow so order ahead if you are in a rush. It's just the two of them so orders can get backed up if there are more than a few tables. Everything is made to order and the ingredients are fresh. Portions are generous. My friend had the burger and we suspect it was a well seasoned Sysco burger, but it was spiced well and cooked properly, it came with some stock fries. Again, I recommend ordering the ethnic food over the burgers and sandwiches. Take a risk, you will like it! It's such a nice change of pace from the chain restaurants that surround the entire Full Sail campus. read more
