great place to get a quick sandwich or donut before work. delicious and staff is super friendly!

    Lemon filled donut before 12/3
    Kelly S.

They have pretty good donuts! Really liked their custard filled and donut holes with custard fillings. Staff were friendly and donuts were fresh and soft! Took two stars away because my second time here where I got the lemon filled donut but there was only 2 drops of lemon filling in it. I am not even joking. Maybe that day the person who filled the donut had a bad day simply piped too little filling into it. Hope it isn't usually like this, will try another time and update the review if things changed. Updated 11/30/23 again as I visited the third time, tried their lemon donut again...their lemon filled was still unfilled... very little lemon filling (see picture). Very disappointing. Updated 12/3: Yay! Thank you Andy for checking my reviews and reaching out to us! The lemon filled donut machine is fixed now!!! Went in today and got their lemon filled again! Donuts like all the other days were simply delicious! Today's was even better because of the filled lemon filled! :))

Christy Donuts is a great place if you're craving donuts. However that's not all that they're known for. They also have sandwiches, thrifty's ice cream, and drinks like coffee. They have some small tables inside in case you want to sit down and enjoy their coffee and donut. The donuts are good and fresh, they have the standard variety like chocolate and sprinkles. As the day goes on, it gets less and less. They also have lotto tickets and scratchers if that's what you're into. They have tables inside where you can sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee and donut or if you feel lucky, you can buy a lottery ticket/scratcher. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. There is usually two people that manage the store. All of their prices have tax included which is perfect. They do accept credit card/debit card and they also have an ATM machine inside. It's well kept and clean inside. Parking isn't difficult as there is a huge parking lot and it doesn't get full often.

My family and I visited for Houston, Texas and as we were putting in gas, we saw this cute little donut shop. I'm glad we went it, had all the choices and really sweet. Best part is that the prices weren't outrageous!

WOW... just wow. That pretty much sums up this little donut shop! I typically go to USA Donuts across the street but my husband recommended me to try Christy's Donuts and oh my gosh, their sandwich was simply delightful! Every bite was filled with deliciousness and I could tell the love put into it. Please check this place out, the owners are such sweethearts!

    donut galore!

Haven't been here in a bit but it's the same as always! Came in the early morning just to grab a few of my favorites before they sold out. Their donuts are seriously the best that I've had since I moved to El Monte 6 years ago. They are fluffy, hearty, and have the perfect amount of sweetness! The owners are the sweetest and can be seen joking with their regular customers. Christy Donuts does such a wonderful job at keep their store clean, comfortable, and having fresh, delicious options always! I totally recommend stopping by!

Great price for a 3 scoop Sunday with everything. Donuts are great too.

Awesome place for donuts and specialty drinks. Friendly staff. And who can go wrong with a $2.50 large (decent) Thai Boba tea!

This is a long overdue review! You will not find better donuts!…read more His breakfast sandwiches are amazing and you must add jalapeños as he pickles them himself! His fruit juices are also so fresh and healthy. I usually get an old fashion maple donut and the vanilla filled/sugar powdered donut balls ( must try). I honestly have never had a better donut than these . The flavor is on point and not too sweet which I love. Everything is always fresh and he keeps his shop extremely clean. Customer service is 5/5. The guy that works there is always in an amazing mood and knows how to provide great service to his customers. Parking is never a problem and the shop is close to the 10 freeway. You will not regret trying a donut from Universal Donuts.

Early Morning Donut Run... With One Very Dramatic Muffin…read more Decided to stop by this donut shop early in the morning to grab a few treats for hubby and me. There were a handful of parking spots available around 7 AM, so parking was easy, and the shop itself was very clean, bright, and welcoming. There were actually quite a few customers inside already, which is always a good sign! Since it had been forever since I last bought donuts, I ended up picking up a little variety: a cream cheese croissant, cheese muffin, blueberry muffin, and some donut holes. Now... let's talk about the muffin. First of all, it was HUGE and costed $3.50, hoping it was worth the price. But the moment I picked it up... the top literally fell completely off and beheaded itself! I just stood there looking at it like, "Well... that escalated quickly." Unfortunately, the muffin itself was the biggest disappointment. I'd honestly give it about 2/5 stars. It was very dry, and despite it being a cheese muffin, I couldn't really taste any cheese at all. It just wasn't worth the money for me. The donut holes (I think around $2.50 for about half a bag) were decent, but I've definitely had softer and fluffier ones elsewhere. They satisfied the sweet tooth, but they weren't particularly memorable. On the bright side, service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, the line moved quickly, and I was in and out within minutes. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by and gave this place a try since it was nearby. I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the muffins, but I'd be willing to give some of their breakfast sandwiches or other menu items a shot next time. Happy eats!

(Important: There's a $3 Purchase Minimum if paying via Card.) I arrived at Rose Donuts (Temple City) on Wednesday (around 7AM). Parking is tight. The lot is fairly small and busy. Staff speaks Spanish and English. Staff is attentive. Surprisingly, this is a very popular location. It's filled with customers speaking Espanol. Staff is polite and respectful. Staff even explained that their old card fee sticker was outdated and no longer in effect. The ambiance is comfortable. This location is clean and had decent ventilation. There's also several clean tables to sit. They also sell Lotto. I felt welcomed in this business. Overall, Rose Donuts (Temple City) is a good experience. The donuts are fine; staff is diligent; and the spot is respectable. 4.7 out of 5

Donuts, drinks, sandwiches were great. Cronuts not so much.. I've been really craving a cronut lately, many donut shops don't make them anymore. And saw that they still make them and only have a limited amount before they sell out everyday. It would be best to call to see if they have any left before making you way there if that is what you're looking for specifically, which I was. The recent photos of their cronuts looked so good from other people and sadly that wasn't what I got when I stopped by on a Friday morning around 9am. They have a list of filling you can choose from. I chose Custard, wasn't too sweet and just as expected. Cronut itself was almost like a sliced white bread texture- not much layers like a croissant, not really flaky or buttery.. Glaze on the outside was very very sweet and too thick it created a crust.

A humble, unassuming, little donut shop run by the sweetest people…read more We've come here fairly often for the massive hot breakfast sandwiches that come with a free coffee. (Great prices compared to Starbucks down the street btw). There's a lot of options and I've enjoyed everything I've had here so far. The coffee can be caffeinated or decaf. The creamers are stored to the side with ice packs. There are other drinks in a fridge and snack options to the side of the register. The blueberry donut is really good. I've also enjoyed their custard filled donut which was full of custard. If you order a ham and cheese croissant, they cut it in half and heat it up for you, which is a nice service. The cheese inside is really good. The interior is pretty small, but there's some seats if you want to sit down and have your breakfast. We always get ours to go. On our most recent visit they were having a fundraiser for their friend that perished in the Monterey Park shooting. So glad to have this staple in the neighborhood and to have a small business to support! Highly recommended little breakfast spot :)
