Buy 6 get one free donut + one coffee= About $10. When I was a kid a maple bar donut was $.50. inflation has hit the humble donut industry. I dont know if these donuts are worth the price and calories but I think that was worth it for the nostalgia.

Christy's has been in this location longer than I've been in the hood 22+ Years! If your looking for a good basic donut they have you covered, not the greatest but definitely good, they also have a large menu selection of Hot and Cold Sandwiches, Bagels and Croissants filled with Eggs, Meats and Cheeses... Coffee is good they also have smoothies and other drinks though I've not tried them. Bear Claw - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/christys-donut-los-angeles?select=SVuuJnq7xnZ0sPlmPog-Sw#AkJw1ItxOnplJjgOBre2jA It was early AM so it was nice and fresh, nice crumble on top and soft inside, look at those claws http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/christys-donut-los-angeles?select=SVuuJnq7xnZ0sPlmPog-Sw#VfRe1mPw0VxmFJ6j4jaxog OH and let's not forget the surprise inside http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/christys-donut-los-angeles?select=SVuuJnq7xnZ0sPlmPog-Sw#SVuuJnq7xnZ0sPlmPog-Sw a nice amount of apple filling. Don't forget your Lotto Tickets!

It's across the street from the not so super 'El Super' on the corner in the shopping plaza where the Subway and the Domino's Pizza are. The Maple Bars are the size of your face! Icees, smoothies, delicious croissant sandwiches, AND boba. The Hipsters can keep their pretentious Cafe de Leche. This place is way cooler and the service is far friendlier.

Lotto tickets, great bagel sandwiches, boba, coffee, they even got ice cream! I get it when I do laundry at the place next door.

Very friendly, great sandwiches. Great prices. And to my pleasant surprise, I was given a donut without ordering it. Thank you!

I've tried every donut shop that has come through in the area, Big Mamas on Fig isn't bad, but no one can compare to the original glaze of Christy's Donut.

The interesting thing about vegan and vegetarian food is it's more diverse than any other in the U.S.-- on that, the variety was great! The service was very good! We were greeted quickly and given the rundown of what was on offer, the second visit it was less exuberant, but busy. The place is nice and clean, the sidewalk is a bit desolate. The street parking was close. Lots more to see around the neighborhood. DTLA has drastically improved since the shutdown. The unhoused seem to be housed now and general vagrancy is sparse, so that's nice to see. Lots of interesting shops and restaurants opening. Worth the trip!

I was parked outside waiting and was the first customer in. I greeted the employee when I walked in and didn't get a greeting back. I mentioned it was my first time visiting, and with so many flavors and options, I was hoping for some recommendations or guidance. Instead, the interaction felt unenthusiastic and I received very little help. I purchased 18 donuts for $85.07, so I definitely expected a better overall experience. To top it off, the box I was given had chocolate smeared on the outside, which made the presentation feel careless, especially for an order that size and price. The selection looks great, but between opening late, the lack of customer service, and receiving a dirty box, my first visit unfortunately wasn't a good one. Hopefully it was just an off morning.

I picked up two of each fresh strawberry and fresh peach, which are seasonal donuts. Let me tell you, it's worth the hype and price. Normal I'm not a donut fan, I'd rather have an everything bagel with cream cheese. But man, these donuts are the bomb. I'm glad The Donut Man isn't close to where I live. I stopped by for a quick dessert and picked up a chocolate donut with chocolate sprinkles. I'm still in love with this place, it's stood the test of time. I can verify that the donuts are just as good as when I had them as a kid. I scanned the racks through their little observation windows, selected a bite and was quickly at checkout. I popped in on a Wednesday night and there was NO line. The dude at the counter was a little exhausted, but he was calm. I've had good experiences here. I want to try their coffee next time, all these years and it's still on my to-do list!
