I got my snakebites sometime two years ago by them (They are healthy as they should be) but when piercied (I was pierced by a black man there) He ended up pushing one if the piercings back in after originally taking it out because it was uneven which it wasnt. He proceeded to blame me for listening to his instructions which was breath in deeply (i have more than 5 professionally done piercings, i feel like i would know if it was my fault) With my septum, they pierced it once through the tip of my cartliage which was unfit to stretch it to the gauge i wanted. Now, I can only speak great things about what they've PORTRAYED on their social media. They made me feel very comfortable and it was a very chill vibe with very cool and friendly staff. This was just my personal unfortunate experience. I got a tattoo from this parlour back in April with Szabla (Olga). I found this business on tik tok and what appealed to me was the fact that it was queer friendly and woman owned. Since I was looking to get a sternum tattoo, that made me even more comfortable. When I saw their IG, I took a look at all of their artists and was impressed with their talent and a couple of them even showed darker skin representation for color tattoos (which, sadly, is very hard to find). One in particular I wanted to book(I believe it was Monica) because of her skill and she showed that she could use color on darker skin. When I reached out, unfortunately, she wouldn't be available around the time I wanted. They recommended Olga to me so I reached out to her. I asked the owner if she was capable of using color on darker skin and she reassured me that all of her artists are capable of using color on all skin tones. That turned out to be incorrect. When I checked Olga's page, the only "darker skin" tones she displayed were 4-5 shades lighter than me. I scheduled a consultation with her and any idea I had that involved color she shot down because she claimed it wouldn't show on my skin or would fade out fast. She used a color wheel program to show what colors would look like on my skin but the skin tone option she picked for me was made too dark which would obviously make colors not show properly. She was so adamant that my colors ideas wouldn't show....despite me showing I have the same ones on my back that are still showing after 10yrs. Since I still wanted a tattoo, we just agreed on a rose with a chandelier design in black and gray scale. Her work still impressed me with her hyper realistic stylings so that still left me excited about the end result. On the day of the appt, she showed me the design which looked nice and basic but I figured it would the hyperrealistic type that we discussed after she started . When she finally finished, it was exactly as she drew it....basic and flat with absolutely no dimension contrary to her other work. I was not entirely happy about it but obviously, it was too late. Honestly, I felt like she was in a rush to finish. It appeared on her personal IG she went to an event right after my appointment. I'm not making an accusation, it just seemed coincidental time wise. I feel like I paid too much to not get what I really wanted and the only thing I was happy about is that I used numbing cream so I didn't need to unnecessarily suffer during my session. The artists there are absolutely talented and their work are absolutely impeccable. I just wish I was able to get what I actually wanted and that I was being heard, especially with such a sensitive topic.

When I saw Monikka's detailed tattoos on their IG, I knew she was the one to go to for my sandwich tattoo...and she killed it. This is my seventh tattoo and honestly the best tattoo experience I have had to-date. Everything was disinfected and/or opened new in front of me. It took about 3 hours, but it didn't feel dragged out. Monikka was very professional and personable, and made sure I was set up comfortably before beginning to work. Her attention to detail is impressive and she made sure to check-in with me throughout the whole process. I have absolutely no complaints. (I saw there was a price complaint in one of the reviews. I was given a price range prior to getting the tattoo and the artist stayed within that price range, so there were no surprises. Tattoos are expensive. Good tattoos are even more expensive. It's art. Get over it or don't get it done.) Additionally, this shop is a minimalist kind of cool. It's spacious with some really interesting light fixtures and a moody color scheme. Everything is clean and open-definitely not that grungy tattoo shop vibe (which is cool in its own right too). Anyway, I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. The owner made a copy of my ID and the tattoo artist (sorry I forgot your name) confirmed the font and size. I waited less than 10 mins and was done within 15 mins. The lines are clean and exactly what I wanted. I also left a 20% tip. They use saniderm which I'm also a fan of. Thank you so much for my tattoo, I love it! This place had a promotion over Friday the 13th weekend for both tattoos and piercings. I went in…read morefor a piercing and a friend for a tattoo and per their instagram post, the piercings were $25. They had a maximum of 4 piercings but no minimums. When I asked for the total they wanted to charge $50 total for one (not including their mandatory tip) and then when confronted about their instagram post and their rules - they said that's how they've been operating this weekend. Misleading and upsetting. Besides placing a "mandatory" tip, this leaves a bad taste in your mouth and makes you not want to come back ever again. If it's mandatory... it's not a tip. The whole concept of a tip is based off of the piercer's performance. I ended up getting another to meet the "minimum" to attain the piercing at the advertised price ($25) but the piercer, Hosco, was already acting differently (negatively) once called out with his boss regarding the pricing and their post. (Attaching said post, which is now deleted, here.) Something that was supposed to be fun turned into feeling like you got scammed. $25 for both, $50. Then the "mandatory" tip of $7 for both, $14. Total of $64. Oh and if you don't leave a tip in addition the mandatory tip, you get stink eye. Don't even get me started on the up charge on tattoos and ink versus colored ink. This place is dishonest, the management is not well versed in English (not a problem, but he forgets that other people can understand Spanish and his conversations about upcharging customers are understood by Spanish speakers).
