We live right around the corner and love this little place. It's almost always open which is great for busy people. There breakfast burritos are to die for. Fish tacos (baja style of course)... Well I'm not sure I've tasted better ones short of actually being in Mexico. If you're in the area, a must stop. Forget Baja Fresh or other huge chains and support a small business! This place was gross. I got a burrito and my rice and shrimp on the inside were hard as hell. It was like eating a cereal burrito. I absolutely love chronic taco, have for years! Glad they put one in closer to my home. Everyone is great at the Irvine location. Just beware when the older gentlemen takes your order. He seems to be into his routine so he doesn't listen very well and has gotten my order wrong pretty much every time he's done it and never offers to fix it. Even worse he tries to tell me "I'm pretty sure that's what you said though," which is funny because I can guarantee you I wouldn't ask to put something on my food I don't like. But overall everyone is happy to help and the food is delicious as usual... also love the smaller burrito option for those of us that can't put down a massive burrito all at once. Lol read more

Love the burritos! I don't really have any complaints. They have certain days of the week you can go to get discounts on certain items. I think Monday is burrito day. I think that's pretty cool. Well you can buy a pretty decent size burrito here but the price is too high. I've been to better places and got better quality and taste for a smaller price. Haven't been in a while since I stopped eating meat so I went in to order a veggie burrito. The sweet woman making my burrito informed me ahead of time that the Spanish rice is made with chicken broth, and suggested I get white rice in case I was vegetarian. I appreciated the courtesy and thanked her, it's rare that happens at food places. I got pretty much all the toppings on my burrito, they were so generous with the guacamole YAY. Since we had not been to this location, the owner told us about the food and such and then proceeded to make a burrito fror me and nachos fro my gf. THe portions were huge and the prices were really good for Irvine. The burrito was as good as you can get around here (better than Chipotle imo). As far as other reviews, the service was awesome, and the employees really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The place is small but that's nothing they can fix. I like this place a lot. It's reminds me of Chipotle, but smaller, less flashy, with a surfer vibe, and BETTER FOOD. Where to start? I've had their steak, carnitas, and chicken, and all are flavorful, and cooked well. One big plus is they pile on the meat, unlike the cheapskates over at Chipotle. You easily get twice as much meat. And they don't skimp on any of the toppings. A little more cheese? No problem! The one thing they are missing that would be good is sour cream. Comparing to all the other chronic taco locations, I firmly believe that this one is the best overall. The workers are always in a good mood and chill, and the food is bomb. Ok tacos. Grilled fish tacos pretty good. In my opinion better than cafe rio. Better menu, better food, and better service. And much better salsas. It's not a restaurant. Three tables that you wouldn't want to sit at when the place is at all busy. No room. Can sit outside but tough to do if you're waiting for fish tacos that take longer.
