Inside, this place is somewhat akin to a fast food type of restaurant, but so much cleaner. Unlike your typical KFC and Popeyes, this place actually felt super tidy and didn't have the smell or feel of grease. As for the menu, the aforementioned buffalo chicken is their specialty and comes with varying levels of spiciness and seasonings. However, it's not the only choice to have either, as they also offer a handful of non-buffalo options, such as Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, BBQ, and plain. Like with the chicken, you can choose a seasoning and I thought the Cajun one was pretty good - a little spice, but nothing crazy. Yet, somewhat surprisingly, the fries weren't very crispy and the inside was a little starchy. As much of a bummer as it was that the food was so underwhelming, the said could be said for the service as well. Not in the sense that the workers were rude or anything like that. Rather, it's just that, despite how there weren't any other customers around, they still estimated it would take about 15 minutes for our orders to be ready. Granted, it's possible there were mobile orders ahead of us, but it seemed unlikely given how the worker in the kitchen stood there watching us, waiting for our order to get put in so they could start working on our food. Between how neither of the buffalo chicken flavors did much for me and how the Garlic Parmesan one tasted so much better, part of me can't help but think the non-buffalo flavors (or that I'm not as big of a fan of buffalo sauce as I used to be). Given that, I wouldn't be entirely opposed to coming back, especially since we didn't try the wings. Stopped by for lunch Tuesday afternoon, the girl up front was great, friendly and helpful, the restaurant was kept clean, so 5/5 to the staff and cleanliness. The execution of the food was also great, well served but for the food itself.. the chicken pieces seemed notably chewy and tougher for about half of my regular sized buffalo fries. I had a bad experience yesterday 04/24/26, the wings were stale, cold, and hard. Every bite I took I had to spit up because it wasn't even edible. The fries, also cold and stale. This had been the food quality ever since I received it, because I had tried it. I had to bring the food back in order to get my refund, the cook in the back was pitching in to the cashier that it had been an hour (only had been 30 minutes, I had to drive back) and to not give me my refund after the cook was the one to tell me to bring the food back over the phone when I complained. The refund wasn't processed there and then, told me I had to wait. So I left with no food and no sure update regarding my refund. Is also very pricey, I paid $50. Still haven't had an update since. Spent $50 and left the food with them. I've contacted the store multiple times, the cook who is the "supervisor" is very dismissive and rude. They told me the owner would contact me and I had to call them and force the information out of them. This place is really close to the UCI campus, and therefore brings lots of students. As you might expect because of its ideal location, it's not cheap -- but on Tuesdays there is a deal for 60 cent boneless wings (which is really fried chicken breast tossed in sauce)! My favorites are the mango habanero and Cajun, but if you want some very spicy wings go for the atomic. My only complaint is quality control because sometimes the wings aren't very crispy/not fully covered in sauce (which tends to happen when there are a lot of people waiting). There is a communal seating area outside, but also tables within the shop itself. You order food like a fast food chain, but it has a semi-open kitchen concept and it looks like the chicken breast they use is fresh. read more

Do NOT go here, you will get sick! I ordered the boneless meal with jalapeño/pineapple sauce. 1. The wings did not have sauce, they were dry. So i asked for a side of buffalo sauce which was $.65 cents. That's not the issue. 2. I bit into one of the wings and tasted a nasty taste and when i looked closely the chicken was RAW!!!!!! 3. I called back and told the older gentleman with glasses and i told him i wanted a refund. He said do not worry, bring it back. 4. When i got there i spoke to the "manager " LEO. I explained to him the situation and said the wings didn't have sauce, it was raw and overall I didn't like it anymore. Leo said he did add sauce, but that it dried out because the wings are hot. What?? Also, I got grossed out after seeing saw chicken. So I asked for a refund and Leo said NO! He said I cannot give you a refund just because you didn't like it. He said I made the order correctly so no refund! He also said he did his job right because he set the right timer for the chicken to be cooked. Clearly not because it was RAW I didn't like my order because again the chicken was raw! He said he could remake my order, but I said no. I was already grossed out and had a stomach ache. Why would I want to eat there again. I demanded a refund and he kept saying no. I asked to speak to another manager and he said there was no one else aside for the owner. I asked for the owners name and email and he said he couldn't give me that information because he was fixing the issue himself and had no need to involve him. What happened to customer service. I was pretty surprised to see the Buffalo Spot in Irvine! They are well known in the la area so it's exciting to see one in the OC! I ordered to go and it was delicious. If it's your first time it can be overwhelming with all the sauce options literally 14! I have been pretty basic and ordered original hot on my fries and mild on my Cali burrito. Both pretty solid! Of course this spot is known for the famous Buffalo fries ($7-$11 on size) which are so good and recommend ordering at least a small side to experience with your order! I love the Cali burrito here! The mix of the seasoned fries and chicken in the burrito are done well! However, this spot is more known for wings, tenders, etc. I just wish I had dressing with my order. I wasn't given the option to order but also forgot to think about it until I got home. Milkshakes are also a must order. Thick and creamy! Service on point, quick and attentive. Came back for a lunch to try their buffalo fries! The location is convenient for students and there's plenty of parking. Lots of outdoor seating and a few indoor seating but can get a bit crowded in the evening. Ordering is easy and fast, sauces do cost extra. The fries were good, basic but still had their crisp. Packaging was sturdy so I didn't have to worry about flimsy paper boxes. The chicken wasn't to my liking though, it was just sour, salty and a bit dry. It just wasn't hitting the depth of buffalo flavor I wanted. This is filling enough for like 3/4 of a portion, however I would probably prefer the garlic parm over this :). Overall, I would come here for convenience and if I really wanted this kind of food. They're efficient and easy to go in and out! read more

I pulled up for BONELESS Tuesday, where the wings are $6 for 10. I was pretty lost but the guy at the register was kind even though he was on his way out. Chicken Tenders ($9) - This came with 5 chicken tender pieces sauced in one's choice. I went with the BBQ sauce which was extremely mild. While the chicken pieces were plentiful, they were a little on the drier side. Buffalo Fries ($9 Regular / $10.50 Large) - A regular size order is good enough for a meal. This comes with diced hand breaded chicken breast, sauced one's way, then piled on top of a bed of fries. Finally this is all finished with a drizzle of their special sauce (similar to thousand island dressing). I went with the garlic Parmesan sauce and I could hardly taste any garlic. I would definitely recommend getting the buffalo fries over the tenders, as they were more tender and had the right amount of batter. The fries were crispy on the outside. Overall the food taste wise was just ok. It's not a very healthy option with so many fried chicken items on the menu. The chicken caesar salad is the only non fried option here. For a couple months, I came here every week for their Tuesday $0.55 boneless wings special. I've pretty much tried every flavor they had by now haha. The wings itself are amazing, especially for the price. I can't find another place with a better deal. The wings themselves are huge pieces, really juicy, and I love all of the different flavors of sauces they have. No comparison to the sad wings at BWW. Not only are they super overpriced, their specials/deals are pretty bad in comparison, and their flavor's aren't anything special. Here, you're getting great value and it definitely hits the spot if you're craving wings. I've also had the cajun fries because the cashier said he really recommended it. It's also conveniently located near campus, and I know a lot of my friends come here all the time. Overall, I recommend trying this place if you haven't already. It's great to have something other than the 2 big wings guys. When I crave wings, this place is my go to! Unfortunately I do have to rate this place the way I did. The thing this place has going for it is "the Boss Fries" if you don't know, it's a large pizza sized box filled with fresh fries. You can chose up to 4 flavors! It's perfect for parties, or hanging out with friends. The the downfall to this place is straightforward. The physical location is a bit small. I don't really seem too many people there though unless it's right after school. Service... it's heartbreaking to see this place empty, walk in, and still wait 5-10 minutes before you're even acknowledge. No the hard part... the food! I love wings and love spice! When they are both combined properly it's magical! Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I've been to this location a good 6 times or so before this review. The fries are always hot and delicious! The wings are always on point temperature wise! The bad part, most flavors are too vinegar-y. I should taste vinegar with my mango habanero wings. On that note, it's not spicy. The Buffalo Spot is a great addition to the amount of food spots to eat at near UCI campus! The "World Famous Buffalo Fries" are delicious. You get breaded chicken bites that are tossed to a sauce of your choice, put on top of fries, and sprinkled with cheese. There are a lot of sauces to choose from so definitely coming back to try them. I have tried the Garlic Parmesan sauce and I have to say it's pretty good. Complaints: The chicken wasn't crispy by the time I got my order. The fries itself was soaked up in oil as well so maybe they need to "dry" the fries before serving.
