We took a softball team into the restaurant for a meeting and fundraiser. The people were nice, the facilities were nice they let us use a meeting room and a TV. I always like their food it's actually one of my favorite burger & fries places, so food was good. The only problem is they didn't pay us for the fundraiser. Even though I stopped back three times nothing ever got resolved. It's a great place to eat just not a good place to have a fundraiser. read more

It's been a while since I last ate at a Chubby's but I am glad I decided to try it again. I ordered the Utah Burger and regular French Fry and also a Grilled Cheese Kids Meal for my daughter. The Utah Burger was delicious and cooked to perfection and the French fries were crunchy and flavorful. They had a chubby sauce for your fry's or burgers that I liked more than their regular fry sauce so highly recommend trying the chubby sauce. My daughter loved her Grilled Cheese, wasn't anything fancy but it was good enough for my daughter which is good enough for me cause she is very picky. Chubby's is a happening place. It always seems to be busy. They have good food and I always love to get their shakes. I had the Utah Burger. It was good, not great. My son had the Bacon Ranch Burger, he liked it, but the bacon was a little overdone. My wife got the BBQ Chicken Sandwich and that was amazing!!! I would get that again in a heartbeat. This was pretty solid. It's not my favorite kind of food but when I'm in UT, I always want to consume some fry sauce at some point and though I like the sauce more than I like French fries in general, they were pretty good here. My kids picked it based on recommendations from their friends and we rolled on in. My sandwich was solid and so were the strips, wings and shakes. I have order the same burger from almost every time I have come here since it opened. A Utah Cheeseburger with pastrami and a fried egg added on. The last few times I have ordered this, I have received a pastrami cheeseburger with a fried egg added on. I'm probably being over dramatic with a 1 star review, but if I wanted the Swiss cheese of the pastrami burger I would order it that way. I don't want the Swiss cheese, I want the American cheese that comes on the Utah burger. read more

It was our first time trying here. Ordering was smooth although there was a line. We couldn't find a place to sit without flies or crumbs and food leftovers... This place was dirty. I used to love it here but the quality has severely diminished. Hamburger was severely under cooked. Ordered a side salad with no croutons or onions. There was a crouton and a piece of onion in it. I guess ordering the burger with no bun wasn't enough hint that I was gluten free. So make sure you clarify with them that you ordered it without croutons because you are gluten free not because you don't like croutons. I have heard people RAVING about the beer battered fries here so naturally I took the opportunity to try them out! I didn't know what to expect but they honestly didn't really live up to the hype they got from the recommendations. The shrimp po boy on the other hand? INCREDIBLE. The flavors married perfectly between the fried shrimp and the cole slaw and literally filled my soul with happiness. Maybe don't come here if you're looking for something healthy, though! I'm pretty sure even their salads have butter in them ;) but a little butter never hurt anyone right? My grandma always said "mo' butta? mo' betta" and I couldn't agree more. The last few times we've been to Chubby's, it's been so dirty inside. We were there at 5pm. No one was in line and they weren't busy at all. There was garbage on the floor, tables had food, crumbs and trash on them, and they were disgustingly sticky. The bathrooms had no paper towels for drying hands. Between their busy and slow times, they should be sweeping floors and cleaning tables. There were six of us there for dinner. I had asked for my burger to be well done with no pink. It was pink. They didn't even refund me. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich and it tasted like it had been sitting under the lights for a while and he said it was really dry. The only redeeming thing were the fries. I used to love Chubby's. Until they make some changes, I don't think I'll be going back. Very disappointing for a place that has such potential. read more

The sides are unique. From hushpuppies to mashed potatoes. The shakes are thick - like shakes should be. In honor of Pleasent Grove's 100th Strawberry Festival, I gave theirs a try and was glad I did! Parking is easy, since it's located in a strip mall. Don't go hungry - go to Chubby's. read more

I am not sure how this place is so busy. We had to wait in line for 20 minutes to order, which is fine, I figured it meant the food had to be good. After ordering, it was probably another 15-20 minute wait, which again is fine, usually means the food is nice and fresh. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich, wife had the avocado burger, our daughter had a kids meal and we got a side of hushpuppies. My sandwich was pretty underwhelming. It was soggy and not very warm. It tasted like a classic Buffalo chicken sandwich, which is okay I don't mind the vinegar taste of it. I really hate when chicken sandwiches aren't crispy, it's nightmare fuel. The fries weren't warm either which always sucks. They had average taste, I was expecting more from them since they were "beer battered". The hushpuppies were some of the blandest ones I've ever had, and they weren't very warm either. My wife said her burger was good; 6/10, so do with that what you will. My 2 year old daughter ate some of her fries but didn't touch any of the chicken tenders so I don't have any info on that; she's a picky eater. Overall expected a nice lunch but was ultimately let down. I'm not sure I'll try it again, there are so many good places to eat. Long wait times, $40 spent, and cold food at Chubbys neighborhood cafe mean next time I'll probably eat outside the neighborhood. read more

I eat a fair amount of hamburgers, and this was one of my favorites. I'm not sure if it was the patty, the bun or the combination of the two, but I was delighted! The fries were also pretty good. We placed our order online and picked it up, so didn't have a chance to see the dining area and check out the vibe of the restaurant. But based on how many other people were in the parking lot waiting for their orders, it seems that this is a popular place. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars simply because the food was a little cold. I'm not sure it it was sitting awhile before it got to us or what, but the temperature was not what I'm sure it is meant to be. When dining areas open back up and I find myself in this part of town again, I'll be sure to come back and give it a try again. read more

Great place! This was my first time here but my daughter and her husband love it here. So they brought me. She talked me into getting the bbq pork salad that she usually gets, and she tried the buffalo chicken salad. Her husband got hamburger of some sort. I actually do. Lol. Once we got our food, my daughter realized that the salad she got had blue cheese crumbles all over it. And she hates blue cheese crumbles. She tried picking them all off but there were so many it made a massive pile on her napkin. And there was still so much in there. So I offered to give her my mine because I wasn't really in the mood for a salad and I went up to buy me a Hawaiian burger. She felt bad so she tried to stop me and the girl at the counter look confused, so I mentioned that she didn't realize there were blue cheese crumbles on the salad. The girl behind the counter was so nice. She said she would be happy to get her a new salad with no blue cheese. That was so awesome! So she did. I got a new sandwich that I was in the mood for, and absolutely loved! My daughter got a new Salad with no blue cheese crumbles, and she took my barbecue pork salad home for lunch for tomorrow. Came in for lunch. It was packed but didn't have to wait to order or to be seated! I got there a little early for a lunch appointment and chatted with the man up front, Ryan, who was helpful in giving suggestions. Turns out he is one of the owners! People at every location we've been to have also been top-notch and we've always had good service.
